It had always known it would be coming, but it still hurt. He knew Sirius would never have been able to deal with it forever; being with a werewolf; being in love with a werewolf.Remus’ time away with the werewolves had only increased as the year went by, and the war intensified. He knew every time he came back Sirius had taken another step away from him, he just had not wanted to admit it to himself. But today had made it very clear that Sirius was miles away from him now – a pinprick figure in the distant, and there was nothing Remus could do about it. He had had eight years of happiness, eight years of Sirius, and James, and Peter, because of Dumbledore.
