"This Is Fine"

When the police cars peel out of the parking lot, many of the guests (who came outside to watch the action), return to their seats with whispers. Izuku watches as his mother arrives, shooting Izuku a confused look, to which he just smiles in response.

The wedding can't happen without a priest.

But then the unthinkable happens.

"Can anyone here officiate a wedding?" Todoroki's voice calls out from within the sea of people. Izuku can't see where he is, but if he could, he has half a mind to tackle him. He's making this so much harder. And he's not even doing it on purpose.

Izuku just prays to all gods above that there isn't a marriage officiator here. How common could that be anyway?

"I can!" Present Mic yells, raising a hand over his head.

Izuku smacks his face again. Why? Why did this happen to him?

"Alright, guess the wedding can continue after all." Someone says as they pass by Izuku and he slumps.

Then he straightens back up. No! It's not over! He can totally stop this wedding. He's just going to have to change to more drastic measures.

Following the flow of people back into the church, Izuku breaks from the crowd into a deserted hallway. He snags some candles meant to use as decoration for the reception and makes his way to the back of the building.

You can't have a wedding without a church.

He builds a pile with as many wooden things as he can find. It'd be so much easier if he had a fire quirk, but this will have to do. Izuku lights the candles and holds them to the pile til it starts to burn. He pulls out the hairspray he used on his curls earlier and makes a makeshift flamethrower to speed up the process. Once the fire covers about half the room, Izuku leaves.

Now, to make sure no one puts it out.

As he comes back around the front of the church, he can hear the organist beginning to play. He sees Todoroki about to enter the main room of the chapel and snags him by his collar. Mirroring what Kacchan did to him earlier, Izuku enters a room, tosses Todoroki in, and then locks the door behind them.

Good news: Todoroki can't put out the fire. Bad news: Izuku has locked them in a closet. It is very cramped. And also dark. There is no light switch.

"Midoriya. Let me out. The wedding has already started."

"No." Izuku says without thinking. And then he remembers that Todoroki still has the flower pinned on his jacket. It's about time he got rid of that darned thing.

He reaches forward until his hands find Todoroki's chest. He fumbles with the buttons, but quickly gets the hang of it as he attempts to pull the jacket off.

"Midoriya." Todoroki calls, grabbing his arms. "What are you doing?"

It dawns on Izuku then, what this must look like. He pulled Todoroki into a closet. And started stripping him. Oh my god. He's glad Todoroki can't see the blush that covers his face.

"Uh...you looked hot?" Izuku replies weakly. And then wants to hit himself because that can be misunderstood as well. But, well, it's not like he's wrong.

Todoroki doesn't respond for a while, and then he is undoing the buttons on Izuku's own jacket and tugging it off him.

His brain short circuits. "Uh? Todoroki?!" He squeaks.

Todoroki leans in, close to Izuku's ear, where his lips are almost brushing it, and whispers.

"Aren't you hot too?"

Izuku.exe has stopped working.

He has always thought Todoroki was a beautiful human being. When they went through school, whenever they took on missions together, Izuku can admit that he enjoyed it. Of course, he knew the way his heart fluttered and his cheeks warmed up wasn't normal. But he didn't think there would ever be a chance for him to act on it.

"Todoroki." Izuku says, but that doesn't sit well with him. "Shouto." He corrects, "Can I kiss you?"

The silence is heavy, but only lasts a moment. Afterwards, Izuku is pulled into the most wonderful kiss he has experienced in his entire life. Shouto ruins his hair even more, but this time Izuku gets to ruin his too.

And then the closet door flies open, sending them both tumbling to the ground and knocking their foreheads together.

"Ow!" They say in unison.

"Oh man, I called it." A feminine voice greets them. Izuku looks up from his spot lying on the ground to see Jirou and Yaoyorozu standing and grinning down at him. He groans.

Todoroki stands and offers Izuku a hand up, which he takes. "That closet was locked." Izuku mutters, disappointed and embarrassed all at once.

Yaoyorozu holds up a makeshift key and they grin again, high-fiving each other.

"What did you need?" Todoroki asks them, acting more composed then Izuku is. His hair has been thoroughly mussed though, and he isn't wearing his jacket, so the image weakens a bit.

Jirou snickers. "Did you forget you were the best man at this wedding? They've been looking for you."

Todoroki's eyes widen and his mouth forms into an 'o'. He goes to grab his jacket and Izuku pouts. The flower is still there. Damn.

And then, they hear the screams.

People thunder past from the chapel, yelling as the ones that are heroes help direct. Izuku and the others stare in shock.

Iida comes running out to meet them. "Todoroki! Thank goodness! The building's on fire!"

Oh yeah.
