"Don't Worry" Is Actually a Very Worrying Thing to Say
Izuku has twenty minutes, courtesy of his wonderful mother, to find a way to stall this wedding for good. And now he knows the villains can hear him whenever he talks to anyone with a flower pinned on their shirt. Looking around at all the guests walking about though, almost everyone has a flower pinned to their shirt. Whether or not they are all bugged, Izuku can't take that chance.
He thinks of what a wedding needs. Not much, really. The rings were a bust, despite them never being found. All they really need for the ceremony is the bride, the groom and- the priest!
Izuku spots the man, dressed in white robes trimmed with gold. He needs to get rid of the priest. But how? Not physical violence. Obviously, he can't just throw him like he did with the rings…
He approaches the priest, trying to think of something to say to get him to leave, when he spots something on a bench near the podium. There's a book, a phone, and a set of keys.
The priest's stuff. Izuku's mind informs him helpfully.
Stealthily, Izuku slips through the guests and grabs the keys. He meanders back through the crowd and walks out the chapel. Standing before the parking lot, he presses the button on the key fob and locates the car that honks. A grin stretches over his face.
"Midoriya?" A voice beside him calls, making him jump. He almost drops the keys.
He turns. Who would be out here?
"Kirishima?" He asks, a little surprised to see the redhead. By himself. Outside. Looking absolutely miserable. "Is everything okay?"
Kirishima wipes at his eyes. "Oh I'm fine. Sorry, I should probably get back inside, huh?" The smiles he offers is strained though, and Izuku can't let this go. Even if he is on a time sensitive mission.
"No wait." Izuku says, grabbing Kirishima's arm. "Uh, I was wondering if you could help me out?" It's not the best thing to say, but maybe Kirishima can use the distraction. Besides, Izuku has noticed, there is no flower pinned to Kirishima's suit.
Kirishima seems uncomfortable, but he stays. "Yeah. I guess. What'd you need help with?"
Izuku grabs his hand and places the keys in it, closing his fingers around it. "I need you to plant false evidence in this car and then call the cops to report it."
Kirishima glances at the keys. "Midoriya...what? Whose keys are these?"
Izuku ignores him. "It doesn't have to be anything major. Maybe drugs? No, we don't have anything like that here. Stolen property would be better."
Kirishima pales as he continues to mutter. "Uh, wait! Whose keys are these?! Midoriya?!"
"You've got to put something of yours in his car and give a description of the car with the priest's description saying you saw him take it from you." Izuku insists, staring at Kirishima's confused face. "Trust me."
"Trust you?! Midoriya, bro, you're talking about committing a crime!"
"Yeah."
"We're heroes?!"
"It's for the greater good." Izuku tells him, wondering if the priest will notice soon that his keys are gone. "I'm trying to stop this wedding."
Kirishima's face changes completely. He holds onto the keys tighter.
"Okay. I'll do it."
"You see there's- wait, you will?!" Izuku shouts, surprised.
"Oh yeah. Anything to stop this wedding. Count me in Midoribro. That priest is going to prison."
Izuku is starting to regret this. "Uh, you don't need to go that far."
"Don't worry!" Kirishima says with a grin and a thumbs up.
Later, when the police show up with guns drawn and the priest is face first on the asphalt being handcuffed, Izuku is very worried.
