Mission Impossible
"I'm sorry, WHAT?!" Izuku screeches, earning him an explosion to his face. He coughs the smoke out of his lungs and glares at Kacchan with watery eyes.
"Keep your fucking voice down, shitwipe. We don't need anyone else to hear this."
Kacchan grabs him again and frowns as he dusts the residue of his explosion off Izuku's shoulders.
"Listen, this whole wedding is a sham. That bitch ain't Uraraka and she sure as hell ain't my bride. She's got the real round face held hostage and says if I don't go through with this they'll kill her." When Izuku tries to speak, Kacchan glares at him again to keep silent.
"There are already people working on freeing round face. We think we've got it narrowed down and we'll know for sure in about two hours. The thing is…" Kacchan glances at the clock and Izuku follows his eyes, his face falling as he realizes the problem.
"The wedding starts in twenty minutes." Izuku observes grimly. Kacchan nods.
"There's too much risk in letting everyone in on it, which is why I decided to pick a 'worst man'. You've got to stall this wedding Deku, you've got to prevent it at any cost."
Izuku splutters. "Are you serious?!" He shouts, and then lowers his voice at Kacchan's look. "Oh my god, you are. How am I supposed to stop a wedding?!"
Kacchan sighs and grits his teeth. "Look I'm not happy about this either. At least you're not the fucker that's got to marry the bitch! All you've got to do is prevent the wedding. Oh, and it can't be obvious."
Izuku runs his hand through his hair that he immaculately groomed before he came. He honestly doesn't care about that right now though.
"Okay." Izuku agrees, mind already racing with possibilities. "Stop the wedding. Don't make it obvious." He smiles wirily. "It's never easy is it?"
Kacchan scoffs. "We're heroes, you know? Now go out there and save me, shitty number one." He pushes Izuku out toward the door.
"Oh!" Kacchan whirls him back around. "One more thing; Icyhot is probably going to try to stop you."
Izuku pales. This just kept getting worse. "Why?"
Kacchan scowls. "I saw that bitch talking to him earlier, playing all friendly. I have no idea what she said to him, but I think she knows we're going to try to stop the wedding."
"Can't I just tell him then? Then he could help me." Izuku could probably stop the wedding much easier if he had someone helping him.
"It's a good idea, but you've got to be careful. Do it when no one's around. We can't have any of those fuckers finding out about this, you hear?" Kacchan holds his gaze to make sure he understands. Izuku nods. He's been in more stressful circumstances, although he's having trouble remembering when.
"Good. Now get your ass out of here. Time's a'ticking."
Izuku is shoved roughly out the door and then it slams behind him. He grumbles, dusting himself off. Why did Kacchan have to dump this on him? Actually, Izuku would prefer to be in the know. He knew this wedding was too strange to be true.
But, it's a wedding. What could possibly go wrong?
