The lake
Harry woke up and looked around his new room. The room was pretty childish, but it was decent. It had deep red walls that were tinted from age. The room had a creepy tone with all the dust and cobwebs. Toys were scattered across the room, especially on the floor. Harry cursed as he noticed the most frequent was legos.
Harry was almost out the door, when he stepped on a doll. He picked it up and examined it. It was a petite puppet, the doll had two pigtails of red hair, life like blue eyes stared at him. It wore a dress that was stained. The dress assumed white was tainted with yellow from age.
Harry's fingers ran over small embroidered letters. EL was embroidered on the back of the doll's neck. Harry dusted the puppet and put it on the shelf, mentality naming her EL. Harry remember picking her up last night along with a note. After a bit of searching he found said not and shoved it in his pocket.
Heading downstairs Harry saw Ivy and Peter, drinking tea and on their phones. Harry went and grabbed some coffee and sat on the counter as well. "Leo is gonna be down a cup of coffee they won't be happy about that." Ivy stated as she looked over her phone and took another sip of the cold tea.
"Oh well. If they are so lazy to make more they can do without." Peter broke out laughing at Harry's blunt response, while Ivy shook her head. When thumping came down the stairs, the teens turned around to check it out. Izuku ran up too them panting and coughing.
"GUYS I SAW A MAN IN THE MIRROR BEHIND ME!" Ivy ran up to him and started to pat his back. Harry ran up the stairs to check, he looked around all the rooms, the bathroom, the nook and crannies, yet nothing. Harry walked back down the stairs, Ivy was rubbing Izuku's back to calm him down.
"Izu I couldn't find anyone but Leo. Maybe you were still half asleep." Harry commented trying to calm him down. It worked and in a few minutes Izuku was calm once again. 15 minutes had pasted when Ivy had got off the counter. She looked around the kitchen then went to the hallway.
"Guys I need to head out to town! We have yet to go grocery shopping and we need breakfast." Harry looked around and smiled.
"Wow you guys are helpless when it comes to cooking. Ivy there is no need to head into town. I will cook." Ivy shrugged as she put her jacket on.
"Okay! Well I am still heading outside. I wanna check out the lake!" Ivy stated as she put on her shoes. Ivy had made it to the back door when she heard Peter ask Izuku
"If you are okay with it could you tell me the details of the person you saw?" Izuku nodded and told peter on how he only remembers the figure's hight. Ivy was a the lake when a ring on the ground caught her eye. It was a very simple ring, a silver band with aquamarines and diamonds embedded all around the band.
She winced as she read the engraving, "Promise to be with you forever plus a day", realizing it was an engagement ring. 'A big fight must of happened for it to thrown on the ground like that.' Ivy thought as she pocketed the ring. She was right on the edge of the plateau.
Not even half a foot way from the resting spot of the ring, was two tracks in the clay-dirt mixture. The width of each track was about four and a half inches. The two tracks seemed like they met after the five inch mark, but they suddenly stopped.
Ivy figured the tracks stopped cause they reached the edge of the cliff. Ivy stood there to check out if the track continued. Cracking drew her attention to the ground, panic filled her as the cliff edge broke. As she fell down the steep cliff she searched for a ledge to grab on to. To her unfortunate luck all she found was engraved finger tracks.
TW: explicit drowning scene
Ivy hit the water she immediately looked around, to find which direction the air bubbles were going. As she raced to go above water, her lungs started to burn and ache for air. She tried to swim up but tugging on her foot prevented it. She looked down to see her foot stuck under a long brick of cement.
She tried to break it and get free but Ivy had zero luck. She looked all around for something to brake it, only to find seaweed, larger rocks, more cement, dirt-clay mixture, and what seemed like faded handprints in the said dirt-clay mixture. The burning in her chest only got worse as seconds ticked by. Ivy knew this was how she was gonna die. The water felt as if it was tugging her down into the abyss. When more air bubbles appeared it startled her.
A chunk of the cement broke, Ivy wanted to cheer but she couldn't waste anymore time. Swimming up seemed a lot easier. Ivy didn't feel her legs moving, only her arms. Ivy couldn't take the aching anymore and her mouth involuntarily opened. Thankfully she was finally at the surface. Ivy hurried to the shore far away.
End of tw
Ivy made it to the shore to her relief and was cheering. The cold air got suddenly colder as her heartbeat slowed down. Coughing over took her as her body attempted to get rid of the water in her lungs. A hand on her back made her scream, Ivy looked around for a source of the feeling, only to see her foot caught on seaweed and the broken cement. She went over to pick up the block to set back into the water. It was significantly heavier than it was in the water.
She gave up and sat on the shore right by the water to let her mind register all that happened. Ivy felt that same sensation as if pulled into a hug. She looked around but, when she looked in the lake a figure.
He had shoulder length, light brown hair, that seemed to fade too a blue. His eyes were closed as he seemed to give the 14 year old reassurance. His clothes were torn, and wet. Sticks and seaweed were stuck to the said clothes as well. His skin seemed pale and was bruised in places. He wore a white button up, a dark green sweater and light brown Khakis. Ivy reached into her pocket and pulled out the ring.
She gently raised her hands while holding the ring and attempted to hug the Non existent figure, while still looking at the water. The figure was shocked and followed her eyes back to the water. His eyes were golden brown with streaks of electrifying blue. Ivy got out the ring and didn't know why she showed him it, but she did.
"Do you know who this belongs too?" Ivy askes hoping he would understand her. He nodded and went to grab the ring. The translucent hands grabbed the ring but as he pulled away with the ring, it was like he had a copy in his hand. One was in Ivy's but the figure's was translucent like him. The figure put it on his finger, looked at Ivy smiling and then nodded. The figure then got up and dissapered before Ivy's eyes.
Ivy stared at the lake in shock. "What the f!ck just happened?" She asked herself as she rubbed her head in frustration.
