”I hope you can find happiness here, my boy,” Dumbledore said softly. ”You surely will be loved.”
Severus growled. Had he not been stripped of his wand, he would have sent a curse right to the Headmaster. ”You can shove your love and happiness up your arse,” he hissed.
”My boy, I know this may be a little upsetting-”
”A little upsetting?” Severus spat. ”UPSETTING?! Upsetting is something you can use to describe a failed quidditch match. But this?”
He lifted his hand and waved it right in front of the Headmaster. The dull yet clunky silver ring in his left hand was hard to miss.
”This is stripping me my basic rights. This is binding me legally to that murderous Gryffindor arsehole. This is nothing short of a human rights violation.”
He lowered his hand and proceeded to poke the old wizard’s chest instead. ”Do not belittle me,” he growled gutturally. ”A little word like ’upsetting’ doesn’t even begin to describe the vile acts you people have put me through.”
The Headmaster frowned. ”Severus, my boy-”
”I am not your boy, you old goat.”
Dumbledore sighed. His eyes didn’t twinkle, and the wrinkles on his face looked more accentuated than normal.
”Severus,” he tried again, ”you know why we did this for you, don’t you? That miss Evans asked this to protect you?”
”Don’t lie,” Severus hissed. ”Lily may not be my friend anymore, but she would never inflict this on me.”
”Oh, my boy… She just did.”

In an attempt to save her ex-friend from the Dark, Lily persuades James to cash in a certain life debt owed to him.
As the Order hears about the issue, they come up with a follow-up plan, intended to keep Severus Snape tightly on the Light side as their potioneer.
The most efficient way to execute the plan?
Have someone marry the Slytherin.
Or:
Upon graduating, Severus is extorted to both join the Order and marry Sirius sodding Black. And as if that isn’t shameful and humiliating enough, he is then forced to take up an apprenticeship under Fleamont Potter.
Trapped, humiliated and alone, Severus starts to wonder whether he really wants to keep on living. He has nothing left: his only friend has stabbed him in the back, and the Dark won’t welcome him anymore.
And then – then Black tells him to accept everything. To accept his… care.
Severus cannot.

A fic where Severus is forced to marry Sirius and join the Order and where both Lily and Sirius are willing to mend their relationship with him.
Severus, however, isn’t so keen on the idea.
