To Tickle A Dragon
What if, due to the Shrieking Shack incident, Severus got hurt?
Like, really hurt.
So hurt the healers have to regress him back into a child – say, a five-year-old.
And during that process, what if the authorities discover Marauders are not the only ones abusing the boy?
What would happen then?
Or:
After regression, Severus’s case is handed over to the DMLE. As it is discovered he has suffered abuse from his own father, his custody is handed out to a respectful and non-violent wizarding family: the Malfoys.
What the public doesn’t know, however, is why.
Why would Abraxas Malfoy allow a insignificant halfblood enter the hallow grounds of the Manor?
Why would he save a boy with no influence nor prestige?
Just why?
Turns out, his son has a soft spot for the boy, and Abraxas himself - well, he has a soft spot for the boy’s mother.
For he sees a chance to get his once best friend back.
Or:
After Eileen Snape hears what has become of her dear little boy, she snaps.
Because enduring Toby is one thing, but enduring total strangers, let alone the fucking Blacks to hurt her darling boy…
That’s where she draws the line.
And so, when dear old Brax comes knocking, she takes his hand and re-enters the Wizarding world. With her darling boy in one hand and her trusty old wand in the other, she starts to rip the Marauders apart, one by one.
There is a limit to her patience, after all.
