Remus POV:
great.
Just great.
he’d finally gotten a chance to tell Sirius how he felt. Sirius had told him the he loved him. Remus had shoved him away,he had told the already broken boy in front of him that he couldn’t love him.
no. He hadn’t said that. But this was Sirius they were talking about, the sweet and loud and funny boy who seemingly searched for love and validation from those he was close to. The one who always had a habit of jumping to conclusions whenever someone took to long to answer a question. And now… the person in front of him was hardly Sirius black. The boy in front of him and been broken, he had his humanity and trust shattered and yet he had still chosen to trust Remus with his feelings. Sirius had chosen to let him in, and what did Remus do?

”what th- Sirius? Are you ok?”
Remus hoped, he prayed, that James or Pete had just dropped something - down the stairs maybe? -, that that wasn’t Sirius. That he was fine..
” Sirius?!” The panic in James’ tone didn’t sound good.
remus got up from his spot on the couch and bustled quickly out the door Sirius had exited out of just moments earlier.

sirius was laying unconscious at the bottom of the staircase, a horrible gash on the side of his head was oozing blood.
