Chapter 9
Sirius POV:
It had been two days since he had arrived at James’ house. Sirius had barely moved from the couch in the potter’s living room. He slept there and spent most of his days sitting there listening to James or Remus talk, or joust sleeping. He only ever left to eat or use the bathroom, that was all.
Everything hurt, but now, instead of sharp pain that felt like all his inside were on fire, there was a constant dull ache accompanied by a constant migraine. He hated it.
Currently Sirius was lying down his head resting in Remus’ lap while he braided his black curls. His younger brother was sat on the floor with his back against the couch, reading a book.
As he sat there Sirius couldn’t do anything to stop the overwhelming wave of sadness that washed over him. It was unexpected but not uncommon, especially as of late. A single tear slipped silently from the corner of his eye. He stood up quietly, muttering to Remus about using the bathroom, and swiftly left the room.
the second the door was closed he cracked, curling up with his back against the wall. Tears flowed down his face as he sat there. Wrong. Everything was wrong. His breath started coming in short bursts. He was frozen, helpless against the impending panic attack. His nails dug into his arm and he mindlessly scratched at the skin, making the area raw and angry. Blood caked under his fingernails. ‘Shitshitshit’.
There was a quiet knock on the door but he couldn’t here anything over the pounding of his heart. his arm hurt. Barely a minute later James potter burst through the door with little warning.
it definitely did not help the situation. Sirius continued to sob, his cries punctuated by sharp inhales as his lungs begged for air. There was a limp in his throat that he couldn’t swallow down. Black seeped into the edges of his vision, weary from the lack of air as well as the pain.
everything went black.
