Bifurcation sur la Route

Siriussy woke up in an infirmary, instantly sent back to simpler times—AKA, a week ago.

This time, Jame was not hovering over him, (A/N: Was he even last time? I don’t  remember) instead Lily Evans was, even though Siriussy was pretty sure she was shot (A/N: Was she?? Okay yes she was).

“Where’s Jame?” Siriussy croaked, causing the ginger to jump.

“Great Sigmas! I didn’t realise you were awake,” Lily sighed, placing a hand over her heart to soothe the heart attack Siriussy likely gave her.

“Mhm cool beans, well I am, so where’s my pookie-wookie-bear?” Siriussy attempted to sit up, wincing when he moved his…left leg? Right? Whatever, it’s one of them for sure.

“He’s…uhm, well, he’s in the back. He went out to get a favour from your brother and came back passed out.” Lily bit her lip, Bella Swan style; entire lip in mouth.

What?!” Siriussy leapt up from his bed, ignoring the pain in his dummy-thick thigh. He began to hobble away, but he quickly realised that, a, he had no clue where to go, and b, he was not going to be able to walk all the way to wherever Jame was. “Okay, uhm…this isn’t going to work.”

“Yeah, okay, get in the chair,” Lily directed, pointing somewhere over the rainbow where her ginger ass pot of gold probably was (A/N: you guys it’s okay for me to say this I swear on Edgylus I’m ginger)

“Get in the what?” Siriussy was confused because, well, what the fuck? Get in the chair, yeah, right, Leprechaun. Siriussy had seen the Leprechaun movies, trust. He wasn’t able to trust a ginger.

“The chair? The wheelchair?” Lily said, laughing a little. “Goodness, I might’ve made your dose a little too high.”

“Por quoi?” Siriussy slipped into French because he was a Frenchie and did that when he got very confused.

“No hablo español, get in the chair.” Lily shoved his arse down onto the wheelie chair and Siriussy huffed as he fell.

“That was French.” Siriussy folded his arms over his chest angrily.

“Whatever.” Lily pushed Siriussy down a dim corridor. It appeared as though they were in some sort of underground hospital, likely an Order location that Siriussy had yet to see, seeing as though he’d just joined like four days ago.

He should really stop sacrificing his life for a cause he’s just joined.

“He’s just in here,” Lily declared, turning the wheelchair sharply left, nearly sending Siriussy flying.

“Great Sigmas,” Siriussy muttered.

“He’s, uhm, well, he’s not looking too great right now, I don’t think. So…just don’t be too concerned, yeah?” Siriussy pretended to crack his back, really attempting to catch a glimpse of Lily’s expression. She looked sheepish, something Siriussy had never seen her look before. Jame must really be not okay.

Siriussy’s heart dropped when Lily pushed him through the door. (A/N: If any of you remember the symptoms of Sigmadrome, I don’t, so neither do you 👍) Jame was lying on a similar bed as the one Siriussy woke up on, but this one appeared to be blood stained. Probably because Jame was steadily bleeding from his arms and neck.

“What the actual farquaad, Lily?!” Siriussy gasped, eyes trailing down Jame’s still body. He was hooked up to about a million machines, including some sort of ventilator.

Siriussy knew about Sigmadrome, everyone did, to an extent, but he had no clue that it could get this bad. Assuming it was his Sigmadrome.

“Did he get shot or something?” Siriussy turned to look at Lily.

She looked at him and raised an eyebrow. “I was under the impression that you knew about his Sigmadrome.”

“So all of…this,” Siriussy pointed toward his sickly boyfriend, “is from his Sigmadrome?”

Lily nodded. “His condition has gotten worse. Probably because he refuses to eat his Vegetables.”

“How long does he have?” Siriussy dared to ask. He was frightened of the answer. What would he do if Jame died? They had only known each other for three weeks, but Siriussy knew he would rather die than live to see a world without Jame.

“My guess? A month at most,” Lily sighed, sitting down on a chair in front of Siriussy to better position their conversation. “If he eats his Vegetables, two.”

“There has to be a way to save him,” Siriussy insisted, swallowing past the lump in his throat. He was not about to let his boyfriend die in this war due to a non-war-related illness. Jame would be so disappointed. He wouldn’t even make the memorial, probably. It’s like dying from cancer during WWII. No one gives a shit because there’s a war on. And, also, you don’t get to be on the memorial, you died thanks to a weak fucking immune system, you absolute wanker. (A/N: I don’t mean that. I’m a good person, I swear.)

“At this stage, we can only postpone the inevitable.” Lily started fidgeting with her ginger hair, braiding and unbraiding a single strand.

“Well…” Siriussy trailed off, looking at his bloodied boyfriend, not knowing what to say. What does one say? The professionals don’t know what they can do, so why would Siriussy know? But the thing was, he wasn’t prepared to lay down and die, take life as it was; he wanted to save Jame. How? He had no clue. But he would see to it that they both made it through this war that Siriussy sort of accidentally joined. Siriussy really should stop getting involved with things.

“When do you think he’ll wake up?” Siriussy asked in lieu of a solution. He wasn’t the one who could save Jame, but he could be the one who ended this war. For Jame.

“I dunno, but you need to go. The Sigmas are suspicious of your absence.” Lily stood up shakily, moving around him to yank his chair out of the safety of Jame’s presence.

“How long—?”

“About two days. You need to get back for your Monday classes.”

Siriussy watched the hallway pass him by as Lily temporarily took control of his mobility.

“But—I can’t walk and—and how am I supposed to cover up my absence?” Siriussy sputtered, attempting to turn around to look at Lily. His heart was pounding. He would have to leave Jame here and go back to Sigma training—attempting to cover his tracks—while being unable to walk. What the fuck?

“The Order has your cover story under control, don’t worry. But the walking thing…” Lily hummed in dissatisfaction. “I can talk to Poppy and come up with something.”

“Poppy?”

“The head nurse here,” Lily explained as they took a sharp right, Siriussy knowing to hold on this time around.

“Where, exactly, is here?” Siriussy asked, looking around, the harsh fluorescent lighting hurting his eyes.

“Omega Chambers.” Lily shoved Siriussy back into his original room. “Alright, hurry up and get changed, you have to leave in ten.”

“What the frick frack patty wack?” But then Siriussy was alone, the door slammed and Lily poofed. “Alright then.”

So, Siriussy dressed himself in his garb (and bloodied) clothes from earlier…or, he supposed, from a few days ago? Whatever, time was a concept and Siriussy was a god.

About twenty minutes later, Siriussy was standing in the entrance hall of the Sigma Training Centre, dead silent and woefully alone.

Omega Chambers had apparently been an underground hospital, residing underneath Alpha Square, so Siriussy had ended up quite close to the Sigmas. Regretfully, Jame was unable to come with him, no matter how close, but at least he was getting the care he needed.

“Sigma Black!” A voice bellowed from the golden staircase. Siriussy whipped his head up to see Professor McGoogle standing at the top of the staircase, arms crossed over her chest. Her face held a scowl, but it was as such that Siriussy felt it was an act.

“Professor?” Siriussy squeaked back, nervous even though it appeared to be fake.

“Come to my office, please.”

Siriussy sat, fidgeting with his bloodied shirt hem as McGoogle paced before him. He did not know why she was pacing. He wished she would stop.

Minerver cleared her throat, finally taking a seat. “Alright, I’m going to put this plainly: I am a member of the Order of the Phoenix and it is now my job to watch over your dumbarse.”

“What?” Well that was certainly not what Siriussy was expecting.

“Yes and, erm…well I’ve just received news of a, erm…kidnapping.” Minerver shifted in her seat uncomfortably.

Siriussy’s stomach dropped. “W-well I-I…why do I care?”

“Jame…he—”

Siriussy screamed in agony, falling out of his chair onto his knees, immediately breaking out into monologue. “Jame! My love, where have they taken you? Oh this cruel world will never sleep until our love is separated and dead. They want to see us six feet under, on opposite ends of this cold existence. They steal you, taking my fragile heart right along, leaving me to suffer. This psychological warfare will damage my psyche, but it cannot damage our love. I love you more than you could ever know, my dear Jame, mon Jamie.

“I will burn the world to ashes if that’s what it will take to get you home. I will murder every man, woman, and child who dares to come in the way of our life together. I will cure every illness and injury that believes itself to be superior to our feelings for each other. No one but you will come out alive, if that is what it takes. I would lay down my life to ensure you a long and fulfilled one. That is a promise.

“So tonight, when your heartless kidnappers are asleep, I will find them and find you, slitting their throats and escaping into the wild world with you, away from this war and melancholy, all in the name of love.

“I will not rest until your attackers are brought to justice. I will not rest until you are in my arms once more, Jamie.”

“Are you done yet?”McGoogle scratched the back of her head.

“Shut the fuck up, yes.” Siriussy sniffled.

“Okay, so basically, Mr. Baddie with a fattie, you gotta stay in school while the Order attempts to save him. You understand?” McGoogle snarled, baring her teeth.

“Mmm, sure,” Siriussy lied like a liar.

The moment McHoochieMama sent Skibidi Siriussy back to a boring fucking class (honestly how was Siriussy going to become The Sigma™ with his lack of schooling), Siriussy mentally broke the fuck down, causing Professor Binns to kick him out to “get better soon, luv.” So, Siriussy, for the hundredth time, escaped Sigma Training Centre to get his main opp, Jamussy, out of that kidnapped-for-ransom situation.

First things first, he had to track down Lily Evan Peters and Edging Lord Zakk for assistance. Lily had definitely been at the Chambers when the kidnapping happened, Siriussy could easily deduce, and Edgylus was just a smart-arse.

(A/N: POV SHIFT!! [lily will never get a pov I am not a fan of lily povs; not sorry])

Edgylus was casually fucking his boyfriend when Siriussy barged into his secret sex dungeon.

“Erm, what the sigma?” Remu cocked an eyebrow, balls-deep in Edgylus.

“GAH! MY EYES! THEY BURN! (A/N: me)” Siriussy screamed, attempting to rip his eyes out of their sockets.

Edgylus sighed, his brother was quite over-dramatic…obviously. He squirmed out from under Remu, quickly pulling on his pants and brushing his curls out of his gleamy silver orbs. He had hella abs, just like his fine boyfriend, but Remu had a nine-pack (A/N: he was secretly batman), while Edgy had only a lowly six-pack.

“I forgot you had a sex dungeon,” Siriussy sighed, shaking his head in disappointment.

“And I forgot you loved to barge into rooms,” Edgylus retorted, reaching an arm down to help Remu up from the ground where they were shagging.

This was wildly inconvenient for Edgylus. First of all, he’d been working non-stop on his case against Lily, and second of all, Remu had been confined to Omega village by the Order thanks to that big kidnapping. They figured they had a mole, which, yeah, Edgylus knew exactly who it was. All he needed was more evidence…

But not now. Now was his only time with Remu since the bombing. It hadn’t been too long, realistically, but Edgylus led a lonely life. And this lonely life of him was now leading to a wedding…

Great Sigmas, Edgylus was getting married. What would he tell Remu? He figured this wedding would take a year to plan, then by then the Order would’ve won the war and he could ditch all of this…but the war efforts had been drastically pushed back, what with the resistance’s only hospital having been taken. Now everyone in the Order is too worried about injuries to plan any missions, and not to mention the Potter boy was taken…

This was a shit show.

“Edgy, I need your help,” Siriussy began.

“Absolutely not.”
