A Little Star

This was it. This was where everything would be over for the sirius black. He told Snape the secret.

Sirius was sulking to the common room feeling the nasty stares from his best friend. He slowly looked up and met eye contact with him. Before he could muster up to say anything James slowly opens his mouth. “Sirius. What the fuck were you thinking.”

Sirius felt shivers run down his spine. James was fucking pissed.

“What the fuck were you thinking that you thought it was such a good idea to tell snape?! Or to tell anyone?” James said, shoving his shoulder. If it was possible there would be steam flowing out of Potter's ears.

Sirius was speechless. He didn’t know what he was actually thinking. He just wanted him to shove off and leave his family out of his mouth.

“Prongs-” James cut him off before Sirius could even come up with a sentence. “No sirius. You don’t get to call us that anymore.” He said angrily and looked him in the eyes and said “You stay away from us from now on.”

Sirius looked at him with tears in his eyes. “James please. Y-you don't mean that?” James scoffs and rubs his temples.

“You hurt remus. You hurt us. You hurt everyone.” James said sternly. “This is your fault. So don’t cry over something you did. This is on you.” James shoves him, “and you can find somewhere else to stay because it’s definitely not with me.”

James walks away while Sirius just stands there speechless. Tears slowly fall down his face as he stares at the ground.

Sirius walks to his dorm room with his ‘friends’. What should he even call them anymore? James was right. Everything was always his fault. Why did he have to ruin everything?

He grabbed his pillow, some clothes and his blanket, he thought since he wasn't allowed to hangout with them anymore he should just stay somewhere else for a bit.

He walks to the room of requirement. He walks in and sees a bed with a desk and a fireplace. He smiles softly and walks slowly over to the bed and sits down. As soon as he sat down he didn't hold back. He cried for hours.

The next morning he groggily opened his eyes and yawned. He looked at the time and went over to the closet that he didn’t notice last night and looked inside, his clothes. Ah.

He changed quickly and grabbed his book bag and wand and left. He walks to the great hall and sees a few eyes staring at him. To be specific it was just James and everyone. He sits down next to marlene, she smiles warmly at him and rubs his shoulder.

“Hey black, you look a mess.” She jokes softly, Sirius nods and just smiles. He looks at the food and he doesn’t feel hungry. He just stares off into space.

After a while classes are about to start. I failed to mention he has every. Class. With. james. He usually would sit next to his best friend but he chose an empty seat in the back.

He took out his notes and actually tried to do his assignments. He sighed softly, not understanding some of the things his professor was explaining. Class ends and he goes to his next and so on.

He goes back to the room of requirement to rest for awhile. He sighs and looks up at the ceiling, he puts his hands in his pockets and feel a sharp blade in his robes. He made a confused face and sat up.

He looked at his old razor blade. “Oh..” He took a good look at it and pulled his sleeves up.

A few moments later he grabs his wand to heal the open wounds. He pulls his sleeves down and lays back down on the bed. He closes his eyes and slowly falls asleep.

A few hours later he wakes up and realizes he didn't go to any of his afternoon classes. He whispers ‘fuck’ and gets up and looks in the mirror. He rubs at his eye bags and mutters curse words in french.

He leaves the room of requirement and suddenly bumps into someone and falls onto the ground on his arse. He groans “ow.”

He sees a hand in front of him “I'm so sorry! I didn't see you there sirius!” He looks up and sees Marlene with Dorcas. He nods and grabs onto her hand.

“ its okay, don't worry.” he smiles and walks off, “wait! Sirius.” Marlene calls after him, he turns around and looks at her confusingly. “I haven’t seen you at all today since breakfast. Is everything okay?”

Sirius bites his lip trying to figure out how to get out of this. “Did something happen with your friends? I haven't seen you around them much since yesterday” he looks down and fiddles with his fingers.

Dorcas looks at her girlfriend and puts a hand on sirius’ shoulder. “Hey black. I know we don’t know each other well but if you need anything, Reg and the slytherins are here for you. Come sit with us, i’m sure Reg will be happy to see you.”

Sirius looks up hearing his brother's name. Dorcas chuckles “c’mon. Dinner is jus starting.” he follows after them to the great hall.

They arrive at the slytherin table and smile seeing his brother. “Hey reg, look who's here” regulus looks up and his eyes light up seeing his big brother.

“Sirius.” he smiles, he stands up and gives him a longing hug. “I missed you.” Sirius smiles and inhales his scent. He tears up and whispers to him. “Tu m'as manqué aussi petit frère” reggie sighs and looks at him and frowns.

“Grand frère you don’t look so good. What happened? Why are you here?” he asked in a concerning tone. Sirius sighs and rubs his face. Reggie and Sirius tell each other everything so he might as well tell him. He was hoping his friends didn't understand french.

“Mes amis... ils ne veulent plus de moi. J'ai fait quelque chose de vraiment mauvais, Reggie.” He looks at reg and sees his eyes turn from concerning to anger fuming. Sirius grabs his arm. “Reg.. it’s okay.”

“comment osent-ils… ils étaient censés vous protéger!” He said almost shouting. Pandora gets up and grabs at his hand. “Reg.. calm down.” you could feel regulus’ magic from a mile away.

Regulus, after 5 minutes or so, calms down. He just sighs and looks at Pandora and gives her an assuring look, grabbing her hand. He looks at Sirius “you’re staying with us then. We have an extra bed in our dormitory.”

Sirius was about to protest but regulus shook his head. “No excuses. You’re my brother. You protected me now it's my turn. Please.” Regulus grabs his shoulder and looks at him sternly.

Sirius smiles giving in, “okay.”

“Heyy another black in the house” Barty laughs and puts his arm around Sirius. “You’ll fit in.”

“Don’t mind Barty. He’s weird.” Evan says from behind, he smiles and nods at him “if reg wants you here then none of us mind.”

The girls roll their eyes at the boys. “You guys are so silly,” Pandora said, laughing slightly. She looks over at Sirius and grabs their hand. “After dinner we’ll show you the common rooms.”

Pandora had a tone in her voice that made Sirius feel safe. He felt like he was home.

After dinner Barty and Evan had their arms around Sirius. Pandora and Regulus were talking, and Dorcas and Marlene were just holding hands laughing at Barty.

They got to the dormitory and everyone sat down on all the beds. “Evan and Barty share a bed so here's a spare.” Sirius sits down on it and smiles.

“It’s nice. Thank you reg.” he smiles, reg nods and yawns.

“Aww little black is sleepy.” Barty says poking at Regulus' cheeks, regulus rolls his eyes and pushes him off his bed.

“Shove off Crouch.” Barty laughs, “Alright, I think it’s time for us to sleep. Girls get out, we'll see you ladies tomorrow!”

“Okay! Don’t harass Sirius so much!” Marlene calls out. “We won't!!” Barty calls out and closes the door. He gets in bed with Evan and sighs.

‘Goodnight Blacks.” He said and closed the curtains and puts a silent charm around his bed. Sirius sits up and looks in the distance. Regulus turns and lays on his side looking at his brother.

“ êtes-vous d'accord?” regulus whispered softly. “Ouais. Je vais bien.”

“Qu'est-ce que tu as fait?” Regulus asked, “Je... j'ai révélé le secret de Snape Remus.”

Regulus looked confused “why?” sirius shakily sighed and said “il a menacé de dire à tout le monde ce qui se passait à la maison et il a dit que si je ne le lui disais pas, il te ferait du mal.” a tear falls down his cheek “j'ai essayé de m'expliquer Reggie. mais James ne voulait pas écouter. il ne me laissait même pas parler.”

Regulus walks over to Sirius and kneels at his knees. “You didn’t do anything.” regulus sighs and accios some tissues. “You’re gonna be okay. I’m here now.”

“James doesn’t want me to visit him this winter break.” Sirius sobs, “he said I ruined everything.” Regulus felt anger going through his blood but didn’t say anything for his brother's sake. “I’m just like everyone said. I just destroy everything. I’m a bad person reg, I fuck everything up.”

“That’s not true. Everybody makes mistakes. But that doesn't mean you’re a bad person, you’re nothing like our family Siri. You’re amazing. I look up to you, and I love you. If they don’t see that then they never really knew you at all. And I'll beat James’ ass for you if you need me to. All of us can” Regulus smiles at him

“You’re my brother, I love you. And when Snape comes back from the infirmary I'm just gonna put him back.” Sirius laughs. He laughed.

Reg grins and stands up and pushes him playfully. “Okay. go to sleep you big baby. We have class tomorrow.”

Sirius nods and goes underneath the covers, “bonne nuit, Reggie.”Bonne nuit, Siri.”

The next morning Sirius is stirring and slowly opens his eyes. He slowly gets up, and all of a sudden..

A pillow got thrown at him, he groaned and said “dude? What the fuck?”

Barty laughs and gets the pillow he threw at Sirius thrown back at him, “ wake up sleeping beauty. Reggie is in the shower, told me to wake you.”

Sirius yawned, “I don't have any of my robes.” Barty pointed at the baggage “that’s yours. Marlene brought it earlier." Sirius looked down and looked through his things. His makeup bag.

“Woah you do makeup?” Evan said looking at the small makeup bag he was holding, “usually yeah, but i haven’t been doing my makeup recently.”

“You should do it today.” Barty said while buttoning up his blouse.

Sirius nods and looks to see Reg get out of the shower, “morning sirius, go shower. We need to meet up with the girls.”

Sirius grabs his uniform and brings his makeup bag with him. He looks at himself in the mirror and splashes his face with cold water.

He turns on the shower and waits for it to get warm.

He hops in the shower and washes his hair and sighs feeling amazing.

20 minutes later he hears a knock on the door, “hurry up! We need to leave”

He turns off the shower and gets dressed, he brushes his teeth. He turned to his makeup bag and thought for a little bit. ‘A little makeup won’t hurt.

They put on some eyeliner and concealer and leave the room. Regulus looks up and looks back down at his book. “Took you long enough.”

Sirius rolls his eyes and grabs his book bag, “lets go” they both leave the dormitory and head down to the common room

Sirius rubs at their shoulders softly and yawns a little. They walk down together and see all the slytherins together, he smiles softly and their sight.

“Finally you guys decide to come down.” marlene said putting her arm around dorcas smiling. Regulus scowls “they were the one that took half an hour in the bloody restroom.”

“Hey! You can’t blame me for wanting to look perfect.” Sirius said in a teasing voice and shoves their brother's shoulder. Regulus scoffs and hides his little smile.

“C'mon guys, let's go eat.” Pandora announced as everyone was talking about random things. They all agreed and started walking down together. As they walk in the room Sirius makes eye contact with Remus.

Remus gave him a stare that truly terrified him. He smiled softly and looked down. Pandora had a hand on their shoulder and he looked up.

He smiled at her and put his hand on top of hers. They all sat down and everybody started eating, except for sirius. Regulus noticed and put a piece of toast on their plate.

“Eat siri.” Sirius nodded and took tiny bites. He looked up to see Remus still staring him down, he shuddered and looked back down.

Regulus looked at Sirius and frowned. “What are you-” he looks up and sees Lupin staring at his brother. His eye twitched and grumbled.

“Ignore them.” regulus said. Sirius nodded and looked down at his hands. Sometimes the black brothers went non verbal on really bad days.

This was one of those days.

Sirius was the worst out of the both of them. back at home, their parents would blame them and hurt them for almost everything.

To Walburga and Orion, Sirius didn’t matter as much. they took their anger out on poor sirius ever since he was a little kid.

they took it of course. only to protect his little brother. anything to protect regulus

It wasn't a secret that Sirius loved Regulus. if they hadn't met the marauders he probably would already be with Regulus everyday.

but even then, even when they thought regulus didn’t know (he knew.)

He would look at the map then and their friends made and look for regulus’ name. He would make sure their Reg was okay.

“Non-Verbal today Siri?” Regulus asked. Sirius nodded softly. if they were lucky, this usually lasted a few hours. if it was a really bad day maybe a few days.

Regulus wanted to protect his big brother just like how they protect him. so they trusted James Potter with his brother. You can understand the anger he felt when he found out that Potter had just stopped talking to him like he was nothing.

flashback

It's Regulus' 2nd year of hogwarts. first day back. Before they had left, Orion and Walburga did a number on poor sirius.

“sirius. you need to stop nagging them. you know this only happens when you upset them.” Regulus said. They were both packing but Sirius needed his bandages changed before they flooed to 9 ¾ .

“it’s alright Reg. I'm fine, see? besides, it didn’t hurt much last night.” Sirius smiled and put their hand on Regulus' face.

At the time Sirius was standing around 5’6. Regulus 5’4.

Regulus scoffed and pushed his hand away. “but next time they might not go so easy. you have to be more careful with your words.”

Sirius sighs and nods.

“Sirius! Regulus!” they heard a faint voice coming from downstairs.

Sirius sighed, “have everything reg?”

Regulus nodded. “don’t upset them.” Sirius grinned, “no promises.”

let’s just say… he upset them.

“Reg! I said I'm fine! it was just a little pinch” Sirius whined “Sirius. i fucking told you to shut up but you don’t listen. you never listen. I can't always be there to help you.”

“Reg..” Sirius said “I don’t need your protection”

“maybe not. but you need someone to knock sense into you when you’re being a fucking prat.” Regulus said.

They walk in the train and Sirius finds the compartment with all their friends.

Regulus sighed and stopped for a moment. Sirius looked at him “something wrong?”

“May I speak to Potter for a moment.” Regulus asked calmly. Sirius looked at him and gave him a look that said ‘what are you doing.’

James looked at him nervously and nodded. Regulus nodded and walked over to an empty compartment.

“I’m telling you this because I trust you with my brother. I only trust you because he loves you.” Regulus said calmly. “promise me you will protect him, that stupid prat won’t listen to me. but.. he’ll listen to you.”

James nodded “o-of course.” he said

regulus nodded. Before he left he whispered one last thing. “if i see or hear that you broke your promise. you’re not gonna be happy with the aftermath.”

James shuddered as he walked past him. Regulus walked over to Pandora and Evan to their compartment with all the slytherins.

flashback over

“reg? Reg?” Pandora is shaking him, he comes back to reality and looks at his best friend

“Is everything cool?” Barry asked. Regulus scoffed “yeah. stop staring at me and eat your fucking food.”

He groaned and turned to look at his brother who was picking at his toast.

He shoved his shoulder and told him to eat. Sirius nodded and ate a piece.

A few minutes pass and it’s time for class. no one has any classes with Sirius so they part ways with his brother and friends.

He goes to astronomy which is his first class of the day.

but the real problem is that he had that class with Remus. fuck.

He usually sat next to their boyfriend, but this time they sat in the very back. like yesterday.

Remus walked in sitting in his usual seat and Sirius tried their best not to look over. but he couldn’t help but miss him. so much. but he wanted to give Remus his space. just until he figures out a way to apologize properly.

Sirius always makes mistakes but this one. has got to be one of the worst mistakes.

he will never forgive himself for putting Remus through all of that. especially after everything they’ve been through together. Sirius just tears up thinking about it.

he starts sketching a bit in his notebook trying to get his mind off of things. then. he feels someone’s presence.

He looked up and saw remus. his heart dropped.

Remus looked at him in disbelief and had this look on his face that Sirius couldn’t explain. “sirius.”

Sirius couldn’t come up with any words. He was non-verbal today. He couldn’t bring himself to say anything.

This was bad.

“Are you gonna say anything?” Remus was annoyed at the silent treatment that Sirius had been giving him. Sirius tried signing to him.

“remus. i’m sorry,” sirius tried saying but Remus didn’t understand which made him even more angry.

“Are you kidding me? you can’t even say anything after all the damage you’ve done?” Remus harshly said. “Do you even have any idea what you could have done. i could’ve gotten expelled. or in azkaban. what the fuck were you thinking? or were you even thinking at all?”

sirius tried signing as quick as possible “i do have an explanation but i just wanted to give you spac-“

he didn’t have time to finish before Remus started screaming at him.

“You’re a fucking coward! how fucking dare you. i trusted you and you just thought it would be a funny fucking prank." Remus shoved his shoulder.

sirius winced and just stared at him. “everyone was right about you. I can't believe I was so blind not to see who you truly are. you really are your mothers son.”

that.

hurt.

Remus angrily walked away and sat back down. Sirius quickly grabbed all their things and left. there is no way that they could survive any classes today after that interaction.

Sirius is walking in the halls and bumps into Barry and Evan. He falls down onto the ground dropping everything.

“oh shit! Sirius, are you okay?” Barty asked, kneeling next to him. Sirius nodded, trying his best to put on his fake smile but failed miserably.

tears fall down his face and he starts hyperventilating. “shit. Evan get Reg.”

Evan nods and runs down the hall. Barty helps him sit up against the wall and kneels in front of him.

“Breathe sirius. breathe.” he says. “tu n'es pas seul. Je suis là, Evan est en route avec Reggie, tout ira bien. Respirez simplement lentement. dedans et dehors.”

Sirius breathes in and out slowly. trying to calm down but nothing is working. He grips onto Barry’s hand and sobs.

“what happened sirius.” he mutters under his breath and looks up to see Reg and his boyfriend run towards them.

“Sirius!” Regulus says and kneels next to him. He grabs his face and rubs his temples.

“Breathe siri. I'm here. Reggie is here.” he says. sirius chokes on his breath and coughs

“what happened?” he asked barty but he shrugged “he wouldn’t say anything.”

“We have to go to pomfrey.” Regulus says, Sirius looks up and rapidly shakes his head

“Non, non s'il te plaît, je vais bien”

Regulus sighs ‘thank god they're talking.’ But he shakes his head no “we have to Siri.” he said “you can’t breathe and you’re shaking.”

Sirius shakes their head no. “p-please. I'm okay.” Regulus sighs, “..fuck. fine. guys, let's take him to the dormitory.”

They head over to the dormitory and Sirius sits down on the bed. “what happened siri?” Sirius sighs and looks down and mumbles something that no one in the room could quite understand.

“Repeat that? couldn’t hear you.” Regulus said softly “Remus talked to me.”

Regulus paused and sat down next to him. “What did he say?” He said that as calmly as possible. straining himself from actually killing the werewolf.

Yes, Regulus knew Remus was a werewolf. He isn’t stupid. but his brother doesn’t know that so he’d rather keep it a secret for now.

“regulus it’s not a big deal-“ sirius said and he looked at his brother give him a look that said ‘tell me or i’ll cut ur dick off’

“He told me that I'm exactly like mom. but it’s okay. it’s no big deal.” Sirius said, grabbing his brother's arm. Everyone in the room felt Regulus’ magic.

“he. said. what?” Regulus said. “reg..”

Regulus left the room. Sirius yelled after him and groaned. “I'll go get him.” Barty said and left the room.

Regulus was fuming with anger and frustration. “Reg! wait!” Regulus groans and turns around while he keeps walking. “Not now barty.”

“Reg. Sirius doesn’t want this. I know how mad you are and I am too. but this doesn’t solve shit. you know that.” Regulus sighs and rubs his face

“I failed to protect him.” Regulus said “you didn’t fail anything. you are protecting him. Right now all he needs is his brother. He needs you reg. fighting his boyfriend and his friends is not worth it. for sirius' sake.”

Regulus nods and walks back to the room. sirius looks up and run towards him and shoves him “what did you do?”

“nothing. i’m sorry. i was just mad.” regulus said. sirius breathes “thank god.”

“you know you’re nothing like mum right?” Regulus asked. sirius hesitantly nodded. “sirius.”

“deep down i feel like i’m exactly like her.” sirius said frowning. regulus shakes his head “you’re nothing like her sirius.”

“you made one mistake. you had no choice either. they have to understand that.” regulus said. “they won’t understand if they don’t let me explain it. everytime i try to say anything they shut me down. maybe i just.. need to give them space.”

Regulus sighs and nodded. “From now on you stay with us. okay?” Sirius nodded and laid down. “You don’t always have to protect me, you know.”

“you protected me. it’s my turn.” regulus said as he got up and laid in his bed.

barty and evan went in the common room to get everybody in their dormitory. it was a friday so they didn’t have any classes for the next two days.

Sirius slowly dozed off and fell asleep. they needed it.

Regulus was laying down, had his glasses on and was reading a book.

everybody came in which made him jump in surprise “merlin.”

“Where's sirius?” Marlene asked. “sleeping.” Regulus waves his arm over to Sirius and she nods. “Is he okay? barty told us what happened on the way here.” Regulus nodded.

“I don't want him anywhere near Lupin or potter.” Regulus said. “he’ll only get hurt.”

“i’ll fucking kill them when i see them again.” Marlene said. the whole group agreed. “hey Marls calm down. we will not do anything for sirius’ sake.” Regulus said in a calm voice. “I wanna break their necks but for their sake I want to be calm and not do anything.”

“poor sirius.” Pandora said frowning at the scrawny boy. “he’s getting skinny reggie. he needs to eat.”

“i know. but he refuses to eat.” Regulus said. Pandora walked towards Sirius’ bed and brushed through their hair with a hand. “we need to protect him guys.” Dora said. she looked up with her blonde hair in a bun. “we have to.”

Regulus nods agreeing with her. and he looks up at everyone. “do you guys promise me you won’t let them out of our sight.”

now i know what you’re thinking. why is he being so overprotective?

Regulus feels the need to protect his brother after failing so hard the first time. it is important to him that his brother heals properly. because even before all this prank shit, sirius was struggling hard.

he needs them to know that they're there. and that this time he’s not gonna trust anyone with him except for the people he loves and trusts the most.

his best friends.

“of course reggie.” Evan said, rubbing his shoulder.

Pandora smiles and sits down in the middle of Sirius and Regulus’ beds.

a few hours pass by. Barry and Dorcas left to go sneak food for everybody.

Sirius woke up an hour ago and has just been reading and listening to their brother and Pandora's conversation. He yawns a little and stands up.

the duo looks up at them and gives them a questioning look. “everything okay?” Pandora asks. Sirius smiles and nods “just need to use the floo”

They both nod and continue their conversation. They
walk into the restroom and turn on the faucet. they splashed their face with cold water.

they heard behind the door barty and dorcas walking in with food.

They heard laughter and he smiled. They put their hands in their pockets and pulled out their blade. He looked at it for a minute.

‘A little bit won’t hurt’ he thought. it wasn’t a little.

He healed his arms and pulled his sleeves back down and pulled his trousers up. He heard a knock on the bathroom and jumped. “Sirius, what are you doing in there?!” Barty screamed “i need to shit”

Sirius stifled a laugh. “I'm coming out! one second” he fixed his hair and makeup and left the bathroom. Barty muttered a quick thanks and sprinted to the bathroom and slammed the door.

everyone started laughing and if u listen closely you can hear him say ‘fuck you guys’

Sirius sat down next to Regulus and asked “what are you doing?”

Regulus shoved chips into his mouth and said “eat.” Sirius’ eyes widens but starts eating the shoved food in his mouth. He swallowed everything. He conjured a cup of water and drank some since his mouth was all dry.

“oh sirius! I have some of your notes I collected today. I went to your classes and got them.” Pandora said and gave them to him. “I forgot to give them to you earlier but here.”

They nod and smile softly, “thank you.” she nodded and continued her conversation with Dorcas.

there was suddenly a knock on the door.

Sirius looked at Regulus and Regulus walked up to the door and opened it. It was a student.

“h-hey Regulus. um there’s people looking for Sirius.” The student says. He raises his eyebrow and tells them “who is it?”

“g-gryffindor’s..” He says quietly. Sirius freezes, Regulus sighs. “tell them to come in. but they are not talking to my brother alone.”

They nod and walk off. Regulus keeps the door half open and Pandora sits next to Sirius, putting her arm around their shoulder.

“Everything will be okay. we’re here for you Siri.” Evan said, standing next to the door with Dorcas and Marlene.

Dorcas goes to knock on the bathroom door “Barty! Hurry the fuck up.” you can hear a commotion in the bathroom and hear a muffled ‘hold on!’

He ran out of the bathroom and the aura seemed really fucking tense. He slowly walked towards his boyfriend “what’s happened?” Evan fills him in and tells him “some gryffindor is here to see Sirius.” Barry nods and sits on the opposite side of the boy.

a small knock is heard. Regulus opens the door and immediately you feel the anger run through the boy's veins. if looks could kill, the people that Sirius’ brother was looking at would have dropped dead.

“Lupin. Potter. and Pettigrew.” he said sternly. Sirius froze and clenched his eyes shut and leaned into Pandora’s arm. she smiled softly and pressed a small kiss to their temple.

“Regulus.” A familiar voice had said. “Where's sirius?” a small voice said.

Regulus cursed under his breath, trying his very best not to kill these motherfuckers.

“Why does it matter to you? thought you wanted nothing to do with my brother.” Regulus said. Marlene next to him gives Lupin a hard glare.

“we just want to talk. we just need to understand why he did what-“ Marlene cut them off, “you don’t get to talk to them after fucking kicking them out of your guys little friend group. and comparing them to their mother.”

their faces didn’t change slightly. “It's not our fault he had a big mouth and blabbered to Snape about his own boyfriend's business.”

“did you even try to listen to what they had to say?” Dorcas asked “or are you scared of being proved wrong?”

“It's just gonna be some stupid excuse. it’s not our fault he’s just giving us a reason to be angry at him for longer. and the worst part is he won’t even explain to us why he did it” Remus said nastily.

Pandora stood up and walked towards the trio. putting a hand on Regulus' shoulder. “He was just trying to give you guys space. it’s clear you guys are mad and upset. apologizing will do nothing but anger you more." She turned to look Remus in the eye “sirius has an explanation. He is not ready to tell you yet because you’re blinded by anger. you may not believe what he-“

she gets cut off abruptly and she flinches “we don’t give a fuck about that! he doesn’t get to just say nothing while we’re here suffering.” that was the last straw. Regulus pushed James. “Don’t! You do not get to raise your voice at her.”

“you lot are fucking arseholes. if you just fucking listened to what my brother had to say then you wouldn’t be running around in circles trying to understand what he did.”

“why would any of us listen when he fucked up so bad” Remus asked. “guys let’s just calm-“ Peter tried to protest but he was shut down quickly. “wormy. not now.”

Pandora sighs softly “he’s giving you space. isn’t that what you wanted?”. James and Remus stay quiet.

“We want to talk to him.” James said “if you’re gonna talk to him then we have to be there.”

“why do-“ Dorcas cut them off “because lupin. we don’t need to tell you why we want to be there when you talk to them. we don’t owe you an explanation.”

“fine.” Regulus sighs and opens the door all the way. The trio walks in and Regulus closes the door. “say whatever you have to say and don’t get mad if they don’t say anything.”

Sirius was fiddling with their fingers and barty was rubbing their back. “Why did you do it sirius.”

“I never did it on purpose.” Sirius mumbled. “je ne ferais jamais ça à mon lunaire”

“Excuse me?” James said. “repeat the last part in English.”

Sirius looked down. “He said that he would never do that to Lupin on purpose.”

“why can’t he just say that in english.” Remus asked. “French is our first language.”

“no shit we know that.” James said fiercely. Regulus was about to say something but Pandora stepped in front of him. “What reggie means is that sometimes when we’re upset, French is all of our first languages. and speaking in french sometimes is more calming and comfortable for us in stressful situations.”

“what?” James was confused. and it’s understandable. “Sirius is more comfortable speaking in French when they're stressed or anxious.”

“He didn't even know he was speaking French by the look on my brother's face.” Regulus gestures to Sirius’ face. The look on his face was a mixture of confusion and frustration.

“Go on sirius. take your time." Pandora said. “I wouldn't have done it if he didn’t threaten me and my brother.” Sirius said softly. “I would've hated myself even more than I do now.”

Remus looked confused. and remorse.

“I would never ever pull a prank like that. I would never hurt you remus. I love you.” Sirius said.

Remus’ face didn’t change. Sirius hoped that they would believe them. but unfortunately..

“bullshit.” Remus said and walked off. sirius’ heart dropped. James called out Remus’ name and looked at Sirius glaring at him.

“This is your fault.” James said before walking away. Peter stood there.

“I'm so sorry sirius. for what it’s worth, I believe you.” Peter said sympathetically and walked off.

Sirius looked down at his hands and tears ran down his face. “those bastards.”

“barty..” Evan said, “they wanted a fucking explanation and now they don’t even believe you?”

“It's okay barty.” Sirius said through their tears. Barty shakes his head “no it’s not! they went through all the trouble and didn’t even think for a second that maybe what you’re saying is the truth.”

Regulus fumed in anger. angry that they didn’t believe him. angry that they still blamed him.

but he shook it off for Sirius’. sirius matters more than some stupid gryffindors.

“Sirius, you should get resorted.” Regulus said all of a sudden. Everybody looked up. “what?”

“you obviously don’t belong there. you belong with us.” Regulus said. “and besides. sooner or later dumbledore will get upset seeing that you’re coming into our dorms.”

“you’re a slytherin by heart. me and you both know.” Regulus turned around and looked at him with pleading eyes. “you’re safe here. slytherins protect our own. not shut them out.”

Everyone nodded. Sirius thought about it. he looked up “i’ll think about it. Give me a day.”

Regulus smiled and nodded.

“let’s stop moping. c'mon guys. Let's have some fun.” Barty says as he pulls out drinks and weed. Sirius smiles and looks at Regulus.

He scoffs and laughs lightly. “sure.”

hours later all of them passed out except for Sirius. He was wide awake staring at the ceiling and thinking about today. They were tired and confused. but later they slowly dozed off and passed out.

The next morning Sirius wakes up to someone throwing up in the bathroom.

“shit barty. how much did you take?” Dorcas asked, patting his back. “I don't even.. remember..”

He turned to see Regulus holding his head and Pandora rubbing his temples.

they looked at Sirius and asked “how are you not throwing up?” Sirius looks at them confused. “What do you mean?”

“You drank the most out of all of us.” Marlene said. “I don't know. I guess I'm just used to this.”

Marlene rolled her eyes and face planted on the blanket she put on the ground. “Have you guys ever done this before?”

“we have.. we just don’t do it often.” Pandora says. She didn’t drink or smoke last night. worried that everyone might need her in the morning. she was right..

“Reggie, are you okay?” Sirius asked, walking towards him. “i feel like i got crucioed”

Sirius laughs, “here I know a spell to make you feel better.” Sirius gets his wand and instantly Regulus feels a little bit better than 5 minutes ago.

“thank you sirius.” Regulus sighed in relief. “hey sirius! can you use that spell on me” Barty says before gags back into the toilet. “and me!” “Me too!!” “please use that shit on me i’m dying.”

Sirius smiles and laughs at everyone. they mutter under their breath ‘light weight’

Marlene gasped and grabbed his ankle and pulled him so that he could fall on their arse.

“oh merlin! marlene what the fuck” Sirius said laughing and hitting her with a pillow. she laughed and pushed them back.

After throwing up and laughing they all slowly started to feel better. They all started to clean up and hide all the leftover drinks and weed.

“Are you guys up to go to hogsmeade?” Barty asked. Sirius nodded vigorously. “yes! oh merlin i haven’t gone in so long.” Regulus nodded. “yes. Let's get ready.”

The girls left the dorm and went to Dorcas’ room to get ready. Everyone else stayed here. Sirius put on some baggy jeans and put on a long sleeve and put a crop top over it. They then got a jumper and put it together. they found their docs and tired them up.

They went into the bathroom and did their eyeliner. they grabbed their wand and put it in their bun.

He walked out and looked at the mirror. Then Barty comes behind him and puts an arm around their shoulder. “there’s the sirius we know.”

Sirius smiles and laughs. “I'll be in the girls room.” Sirius said and walked away. They knocked on dorcas’ door and waited. you could hear a faint ‘coming!’

it was Marlene looking dashing as always. she whistled and patted his face “why don’t u look dashing?” Pandora looked to see who it was and hurried them over to come in.

“You need jewelry!” Pandora says. “Do you have piercings?” Sirius nodded “yeah i have 7 on each ear, a septum, eyebrows, lip and i think that’s it yeah.”

she squeals and gives her one of her necklaces, asking Dorcas if she had any spare septum piercings. “yes!” and gave them a bunch of jewelry to put on.

he sat down on the desk and started putting in all of the jewelry he was handed. They look at the girls and ask for their approval. They all laughed and said “yes!”

After a while everyone was finally finished. They were walking down the halls together. Sirius was under Marlene’s arm talking to her and Dorcas.

Pandora and Regulus were of course having yet another conversation. and Barty was just finding ways to fluster Evan.

on their way to hogsmeade they were of course given looks due to the fact that Sirius Black was hanging out with them. but they ignored it. Sirius was just having fun, they deserve that after everything.

They passed by Lily Evans and her boys. (Remus , James, and Peter) Sirius hadn’t noticed hence too busy smiling at a joke Barty made.

Regulus looked over at them, gave them a look and continued his chat with his lovely best friend. “Marlene, are you still doing quidditch?” Sirius asked. Marlene nodded. “yes. Dorcas is as well. that’s why we’ve been absent from the group.”

if Dorcas and Marlene weren’t there it was either because of quidditch practice or they were shagging. usually a mixture of both.

It didn’t really matter. All that mattered was that.. Sirius was home. and they needed this. they needed them. that’s all that mattered.
