Twisted in Bedsheets
"I get a dorm to myself!" Dorcas came knocking on their own dorm.
"Oh I'd love to get a dorm to myself," Barty was throwing himself already on Evan's bed. "Then I could--"
"Please don't go on." Regulus glared down at him. "Needless to say I'd also love it if you had a dorm apart from mine."
"Don't be so cranky." Evan joined Barty on his bed, too, too close.
"Yeah, Reg. You get your boyfriend in our room now as well." Barty's tongue was sticking out.
"He's not my boyfriend." Regulus was turning red now, blushing again. Reggie was so cute when he was flustered, it was a rare enough sight, more more common when it was just them. Dorcas really enjoyed it, seeing his friend happy. They didn't get much of that.
"Damn right I'm not." Alexander threw a pillow at Regulus' head. "He hasn't asked."
"WHAT?!" Dorcas spat, remembering herself, "So it's a thing now?" She knew Alexander was a big flirt and had a thing for Regulus, it was obvious and he's talked to her about it lots, but did he like him back? That's news.
"Since the party. But, well, we haven't had much of a chance to talk since." Alexander did love to talk about anything going on in his life. Especially if it made Regulus angry. Like this. "Sure we made out, but it was just that, not much talking." WHAT? It was her own fault, she blamed herself. No, actually, she blamed Marlene that she missed it, she distracted her at the party with her womanly charms. Merlin, she can't believed she missed Reggie flirting!
Barty and Evan started making a fuzz and throwing whistles and wild cheers. "Regulus you dog!" One of them said, and the other actually, literally started woofing.
Regulus turned and shot a spell that made the three of their mouths disappear. "I'm revoking all of your speaking privileges until you grow up."
"How will you kiss Alexander then?" Dorcas couldn't help it, Regulus' eyebrow crooked dangerously. His wand was pointed to her now. Sure the boys were still laughing even if there was no laughter coming out of their mouths. "Alright, I get it."
"So you get a dorm to yourself?" Regulus drove Dorcas back to her own point.
"Right. Still four beds though. I was thinking of asking Panda to move in with me, she's in the same situation in Ravenclaw Tower."
"Why not ask Marlene?" WHAT? NO. Like, yes it would be so fun, but they were barely together and that's too intimate, living together. What if they fucked up by going to hard too fast.
"Not there yet." Regulus seemed content enough with that answer. He probably differed because he was moving in with his boyfriend. Not boyfriend yet. Alright, she did hear that, but he was moving in with his Alexander.
"Truly can't believe no one has seen us yet." Sirius laid down on Remus' bed, it was somehow the exact same one. He knew that bed, spent a lot of time there, and the knicks and scratches that he'd left there when staying over with Remus were still there. And so was Remus.
"You don't get attention one day and you're dying?" Remus sat next to him, properly, taking off his jumper.
"Life's so hard when you're this pretty." He made eyes at Remus and he rolled his beautiful amber ones at him. Then he gave him a quick, shy, peck. Like a prude. Sirius would have him right there right now, any time, any place, any way. Just because he was shot forwards in time and his timeline-accurate version was still alive and his parents were probably dead and the war they were fighting was over and not over at the same time and his best friend had a kid he hadn't met and his little brother was here with him and they hadn't talked about any of it didn't make Remus any less hot, nor him any less horny.
"Not the only hard thing." Remus whispered in his ear. Time travel didn't make him any less horny either. Sirius almost choked on his own spit, terrible considering he'd rather choke on something else.
"Those guys seemed nice?" James interrupted Sirius' moment, again. It was a problem how often life got in the way of Sirius' plans to get ravaged by his werewolf boyfriend. If he had his way, he would split his days between that and eating, nothing else. He didn't want anything else.
"Who?" Sirius wasn't really paying much attention after realizing they'd time travelled and that meant he was free from his family forever. Like truly free with no chance of going back. He'd been blessed.
"Hermione, Ronald and Harry." Sirius couldn't tell him, could he? He should realize it himself, but James was dense like that. Quite dense when it came to getting it. Harry was his carbon-copy clone... with Lily's eyes. It wasn't a difficult assumption to get to. Especially after both Hermione and Alexander almost shouted it at the astrology tower. Truly dense his best friend was.
"That Harry had pretty eyes right." James diving face first into the pool and hitting the floor it was so hard not to get there. Peter shot him a look, Remus looked at Pete, and Sirius changed between both of them.
"Yes. Reminds you of anyone?" Remus couldn't give him the answer like that, but that hint should've been enough.
"I suppose they're just like Lily's honestly." James blushed a little over the realization, "You think they might be related? Lily has mentioned she has a sister." SIRIUS COULD HAVE HIT HIM. Then again the concussion wouldn't help him get any closer to what they were all thinking.
Remus had to fit his whole fist into his mouth to stop--Sirius made a mental note he could do that for... future reference--himself from screaming.
"You're kidding me." Peter wasn't as reserved.
"No, I swear, she has a sister!" James stood high on top as king of the hill, Dense Hill.
"You ought to tell her, maybe she's got thoughts on it." Sirius supposed that wasn't too much of a push. Well. Just maybe.
"Should we ask Pandora or Dorcas to stay on the fourth bed?" Lily asked the general public of the room--Mary and Marlene.
"You can't ask Dorcas." Marlene was adamant, "I love you and I love her, and this is very considerate, but I won't move in with her so soon, what if it makes me fuck up?"
"You love her." Mary always picked up on everything. She had to have an enchantment on her earrings or something, Lily was so sure of it.
"I haven't told her." Marlene was not fond of talking about feelings, ever. "But I figure she knows. And it's too early. I think."
"Well, something's something I suppose." Mary looked down at her nails, hinting she wasn't satisfied with Marlene's answer. She's not one to let anything go though. She hummed for a moment, most likely waiting for Marlene to fill the silence. "But I suppose there's much more pressing things to address." She looked at Lily. Like she was supposed to know what those much more pressing matters were.
"So?" Marlene caught her wave, Lily still hadn't. But the other two were looking at the redhead with inquisitive depth.
"So what?" Lily never had much going on, she liked it that way, she just had her friends and school, and maybe a crush once in a while, but that was it. She was generally on solid, safe ground. Of course right now she had an inkling of what they were talking about...
"Oh please!" Mary threw her pillow at Lily, and it landed next to her, planned, clearly, because she squeezed herself next to her.
"That boy was so very clearly your... will be... would? be?" No one had the hang of how this time travel thing works.
"He was the spitting image of James except for his eyes." Marlene launched herself towards them as well.
"Your eyes." Mary made sure there was no window for hesitation when it came to this kinds of stuff. And Lily had been trying to avoid it like it was the plague. "I definitely think that boy Harry came from you two. I think that's best a description I can do."
"I--" Lily turned on her back and looked at the ceiling. The three of them had been doing this for years now. It was far easier when the three actually fit and didn't have to hold hands to prevent them from falling off the sides. But holding hands was good in these moments. "I don't even know what to think! Or feel! Because first I was shocked that James and I would end up together since Pandora's vision, and that was alright. I have fancied him for a while now, he shan't know that girls, but you know. So that wasn't too bad. Now the dying was so abstract that I couldn't really wrap my head around that, and now they--we? Already died? But I'm still here, so that's discarded I suppose. But then time travel and Harry. Merlin, we're a year older only girls. And I do feel somewhat responisble, but also I didn't push him out of my..."
"Fanny."
"Merlin Mary."
"What's wrong with saying fanny?" She was always the more liberated of the bunch.
"My fanny. It was the other? Lily. But I do feel a connection of sorts I guess. I haven't even got a idea if James has figured it, he's dense when it comes to connecting the dots. And I haven't talked to Harry either. But he is still named after my grandfather I suppose." Lily was running out of words, and thoughts, it was a standstill with the world and it had to make the next move.
"That's I think the WEIRDEST situation we've ever been drawn in. Ever." Mary raised both their arms reaching to the ceiling. The sky. The starts were behind it after all.
