Sirius

Seeing as it was his idea, Sirius was made to go first. He wasn’t necessarily happy about it but he couldn’t argue since it was his idea. They had agreed that they all got one chance to flirt with Sniv (ew) and then ask for a date before reporting back to the group.

as Sirius marched off to go and find the snake he declared confidently that he would have the little shit swooning for him by the time he got back.

James, Remus and Peter were all sat around a large circular table in the library when they spotted Sirius.
He wore a strained, clearly forced smile as he approached them. As he slid into his seat Remus asked the question they could all clearly tell the answer to from just Padfoot’s face alone.

”Well, has Snape been swept off his feet yet?”

Sirius coughed loudly into his fist before muttering something under his breath.

“Pardon?” Remus asked, grinning at the despairing animagus, “Didn’t quite catch that”

”nooooot exactllyyyyyy” Sirius repeated slightly louder.

“oh yeah?” James asked, clearly enjoying this, “go on”

”he um- he said no”

”What?!” Declared Peter in what sounded like genuine shock, “What happened???”

“Weeellllll…” Sirius began his retelling.

Snivellus was alone in a hallway, sat on a bench reading, nobody around because the guy was such a loner.

He looked about to stand up, probably to go and find Lily since he clung to her like a leech. As he raised from the bench a hand suddenly found itself beside his head against the wall. The startled boy glanced up at who had trapped him against the stones, only for his face to flush a light red when he craned his neck up to see Sirius’s face.

“Hey Snape”

”Hi Black” his dark eyes diverted from the taller boy’s face, clearly embarrassed and flustered to find himself in his current situation.

“How’s it going”

”uh-“

Sirius smirked as the smaller boy stumbled over his words clumsily.

”I don’t know, how are you?”

”Better now that I’m here”

Severus’s face flushed darker, he tilted his head down to try and hide it beneath his hair.

“Soo~ what do you say about you and me, Hogsmead next weekend?”

The Slytherin’s head snapped up in surprise. No wonder why, it was probably the first time anyone had ever asked him to go with them.

“Oh… Oh I would love to, but… I can’t. Even though I would love to go since you’re irresistible, with your handsome smile and gorgeous locks-“

“He did not say that.” James interrupted, physically holding back laughter. Peter and Remus were attempting to do the same to much less success.

Sirius pouted irately,

”He could have!”

”Mate it’s Sniv.” Peter pointed out inbetween shaky breaths, “No way he’d ever say anything like that”

”I don’t know, I don’t remember everything that guy said.”

the other marauders looked at him, clearly unimpressed. He sighed,

”Ugh! Fine, it went something like this,”

Snivellus sat on a bench in a hallway, completely alone, obviously who’d want to hang out with him?

He was so buried in his book (probably filled with dark magic the evil git) that he didn’t even notice the incredibly handsome, tall, strong boy sitting next to him until he was giving the little Slytherin shit attention that he didn’t deserve.

“Hey Snape”

The smaller boy groaned loudly, cartoonishly rolling his freakishly dark eyes. It was such an overdramatic reaction that you could actually see it behind the greasy curtain that was his fringe.

”Ugh! Can’t you see I’m clearly too busy doing nothing to engage in civil conversation? What do you want Black?”

The Griffindor chuckled, not dissuaded by the hostility of the snake.

”I was wondering if you’d want to go to Hogsmead next weekend?”

”HA!” Snape cackled hideously, “Like I would ever get off my high horse and date an arrogant prick like you.” Amusement fizzled out towards the end, bleeding into pure, unfiltered, evil, unwarranted hatred.

”Meh, a little more likely I guess,” Remus chuckled once Sirius was done. Padfoot huffed, clearly annoyed with his friends.

”Well it was something like that okay?!”

Severus sat on a small bench in an obscure hallway of the school, the library was usually too crowded around this time so he liked to retreat to this little alcove to read. It was quieter here.

”Hey”

Scratch that. The boy instantly stood up, about to walk away as quickly as possible from the owner of the voice who was far too familiar.

”Woah hey!” Severus felt a large hand wrap around his wrist and all of a sudden he was trapped between the wall and Sirius Black.

”What do you want Black?” He hissed, merlin he hated how small he felt compared to Black.

The Griffindor smirked, “How are you?”

”I’ve been better. Now let me go” he demanded, trying to slip in between the limbs pinning him to the wall.

Sirius chuckled at how brash the snake always was. “That’s too bad, I feel great. Any way I could share that with you?”

”Yeah you could leave me alone.”

Sirius caught sight of the Slytherin’s hand sliding down the wall towards a pocket in his cloak from which his wand protruded. To prevent a spell to the face he grabbed the wrist, pinning it to the wall beside Severus’s head. Wow, was Severus always that small? The joint was dwarfed in Black’s clutch.

”Let go!” Severus yelled, heartbeat suddenly picking up when he realised he’d been disarmed. Sirius’s expression faltered slightly, softening for a moment before regaining his air of confidence.

“I’ll let go if you do one thing for me”

”I’m not doing anything for you!” Embarrassingly enough Severus’s voice pitched up a little bit as he struggled.

”Come on, it’s not much” Sirius smirked at the trapped boy, “I just want you to go to Hogsmead with me next we- CAUH!”

Severus had sent his knee full force upwards between Black’s legs. The taller boy stumbled backwards enough for Severus to make a break for it.

Goddamnit, wasn’t that a tad bit of an overreaction? Thought Sirius as he watched Snivellus disappear around the corner. Even if he did hate Sirius surely it wouldn’t be cause for that big of a reaction?

Not that he did it a lot or anything but whenever he did, people usually liked it when he pinned them to walls.….

he wasn’t sure that he liked the change. Why did it matter? …

it was just Severus.
