Chapter 7
(Three days later)
Remus and Sirius were meeting in the library to work on their project for transfiguration for the first time since christmas break, Remus was worried and debating if he should just cancel, and Sirius is still trying to figure out what he said or did to make Remus change so suddenly.
“Hey Remus, over here” Sirius said from his seat at one of the tables, the table was in the back of the library. Remus walked over disappointed that Sirius already saw him because now he can’t just run away and hide (and eat chocolate) like he wanted to do.
“Hey Sirius” he said, and if his tone of voice could be taken rudely that was not his fault. He sat down and pulled his books out of his bag and they started working. Sirius would occasionally try to start an actual conversation with him or steer to a different topic but Remus always cut it off fast and redirected them back to their project. They worked on it for about 2 hours and basically finished it, so they packed up and were about to head back to the dorms when Sirius asked him a question.
“Hey, to make working on our project easier, can I have your phone number?” Sirius asked.
“NO” Remus said really loud without even thinking about his words before he said it.
“Oh, that's ok I guess” Sirius said and walked away. Remus was left there just thinking to himself of how much of an idiot he is.

Remus took James’s advice and waited until it was time for bed to talk to sirius. He had gotten ready for bed and was just laying in bed wondering how this conversation would go and rehearsing what to say so it wouldn’t go wrong. He realized about 20 minutes ago that James must have told Peter to go anywhere but here because Peter is usually sleeping by now. Just as he was wondering where Peter had gone, the door opened.
“Hi” Remus said very low and Sirius just ignored him, not that he could blame him though.
“So I wanted to talk to you,” Remus said, getting up from his bed.
“About what, because you sure as hell didn't want talk earlier” Sirius said clearly getting aggravated by the conversation.
“Yeah, thats actually what i wanted to talk about, I-” Remus started but got cut off.
“You want to talk about how you didn’t want to talk really?” Sirius shot back. Remus opened his mouth to speak again but sirius didn’t let him.
“How about you talk about how you randomly switch all the time, you like me then you don’t, your talking to me then you’re ignoring me, Merlin both you and him need to make up your minds” Sirius said with a huff and turned away.
“Him?” Remus asked even though he knew it was him he was talking about.
“Never mind just forget it, i'm done with this conversation” He said as he took out his hearing aids. Not knowing what else to do Remus just took out his phone and started texting him.
