Flashback when you met me, your buzzcut and my hair bleached.
“Shit..” Chuuya mumbled under her breath, her tail slicing through the water, and her hair flowing behind her, her scales shone from the light above, gracefully beaming into the water.
“It's your fault we’re late..” Akutagawa spoke, staying just behind Chuuya, not being able to keep up with her rapid, frantic pace.
“You think I don’t already know that?” huffed the redhead, seeing the moonpool insight, continuing her fast ways, as she made it upon the pool, seeing the familiar coral banks and vibrant fish, she also noticed her brother's angry face.
“You better have a good explanation for this.” Kouyou said down to the redhead with fire in his eyes, said redhead turned around to Akutagawa, hoping for some excuse from her, but instead saw her swimming off as fast as she possibly could, that’s just great..
“..we were just wandering around and lost track of time” she spoke, hoping it would ease her brother from his furious state, but Kouyou still seemed as stern as ever. “Fine, I’ll let you off easy for now.. just hurry to the moon pool, covering this late for your asses is very suspicious—“
“Yes yes I know, thank you though!” she smiled, before coiling around him, and swimming through the small tunnel, her ravenette friend following behind her.

Chuuya sighed as she crawled out of the moon pool, cracking her bones slightly. It was a pain to come here every time she wanted to turn, but the beaches were guarded and unsafe, and their pool was yet to be discovered.
Emerging behind the redhead came Akutagawa, stumbling out of the small cave, and putting on the shoes she had left at the entrance of the hidden pool “you done just standing there yet?” Spoke Akutagawa to Chuuya as she threw her bag and shoes at her causing Chuuya to almost drop her belongings onto the cold wet floor in front of her.
“Shut up, let’s go” She sighed once again, putting on the items as quick as he limbs let her and followed the handmade path out of the small forest, coming along the line of sand on the familiar beach, it was still dark so the waves were hard to notice but god you could hear them, the harsh crashing against the other waves akin, and the thundering ripple of the water, it almost made Chuuya shiver.
The two of them made their way to the small city, the sky becoming slowly illuminated by the sun, as they both turned into the school, as Chuuya fumbled with the strap of her bag she noticed someone new, the girl was hidden away behind a tree, but she could see the short, soft brunette hair and the glasses framing the edge of her face.
“..is she new?” The ravenette standing beside her asked curiously, clearly noticing her as well, as Chuuya was about to answer her she was interrupted by Gin, Akutagawa’s brother.
She distantly heard them arguing, but her sole focus was on the girl under the tree; her, now feet, carried her closer, this going unnoticed by the redhead, until she came face to face with the girl.
“..can I help you?” the brunette girl spoke, her voice oh so raspy but oh so sweet.
“You’re new here.” The redhead stated leaving no room for questions.
“…that’s correct”
“That's…” damnit, she didn’t know what to say, her mind going blank as she stared at the brunette, the uncomfortable silence stretching, before Chuuya found her voice again. “What’s that book you’re reading?..”
“..songs from the deep, by Kelly Powell” the girl responded back with a slight smile, and Chuuya smiled back “it’s a book of this girl searching for a serial killer on an island surrounded by sirens.”
Sirens.
Chuuyas' smile faded. “..what does the book say about them?”
“ah, just the common ‘wickedly evil’ stuff, but personally I think they’re interesting, or just misunderstood” She spoke with a glimmer in her tone, a slightly mischievous smile decorating her pale face.
“They’re not.” Chuuya had responded back, before an expression of slight embarrassment painted her face. “…at least if I assume that anyway” the redhead smiled.
The brunette chuckled back awkwardly, looking off to the side. “So.. what’s your name?”
“Dazai Osamu.”
hm, interesting name. “..I’m Chuuya, .. do you know anyone here yet?..” she asked the no longer unknown girl, Dazai.
“Yes! I’ve moved here for one of my friends, Fyodor "
"Fyodor??”
“Yeah..?”
“Seriously??”
“What do you mean seriously what’s wrong with her?” Asked Dazai, her body language became tense.
“..nothing at all” Nothing other than she's said siren herself..
“Hm.. I should be off” the brunette mumbled, picking up her bag and packing away her book, and quickly disappearing into the school as if she wasn’t even there to begin with. If Chuuya was being honest it was kind of unsettling but she couldn’t help but be interested in the brunette and how she became friends with her siren friend.
Chuuya sighed, walking back over to Akutagawa, avoiding her cold gaze. “What did you want with her?”
“Nothing now, she’s got affiliations with Fyodor, so I can only assume she’s with mori too.”
“Wasn't Mori outcast from the Ávytrum clan a long time ago though?” The ravenette asked sceptically.
“I assumed so, but she did have an influence on people, so I assume at least some of them may have left with her”
“Shouldn’t you stay away from that new girl then? She doesn’t seem like good news," Gin stated, standing beside his sister with a troubled expression resting on his near perfect profile.
“Yeah.. we’ll see..”
