Chapter 6
Natasha looks at Tony skeptically, looking at his face in an iron suit and the teenage boy in his arms, whose skin has turned to it’s supposedly original pale tone. After a second, the redhead sighs and looks over her shoulder.
“Helen! Tony’s found a knocked out teenager.”
-
Tony was tasked with the job of calling Thor, and he’s just about to press the green call button when he hears the walkie-talkie.
”Mr. Iron Man sir?”
Spidey.
“Holyshit, sorry kid. I didn’t tell you where I went.” he curses to himself, thinking about how concerned he must be for his friend. He doesn’t get a chance to say more though, Helen ushering both him and Loki inside.
The woman places Loki on the couch, immediately checking for a pulse, then checking to make sure he was stable. “Hey, I took your friend over here to MIT, I have a friend of my own that’s good with medical.” Tony winces winces at the suspicion on both women’s faces, realizing the amount of interrogation he’ll be going through later.
“Yessir, which wing? I’m on my way right now.” and it was clear that there would be no convincing Spidey otherwise. Once he’s given the vigilante directions, he turns off his walkie-talkie for the time being to focus on the teen he had brought into the dorm. That’s when it hit him: what the hell am I going to tell Thor?
Tony then proceeds to realize that it does, in fact, have to be him, considering Nat in general and Helen’s current unavailability. Yay…
Just as he had resigned himself to his fate, he heard a panicked knocking at the door. Spider-Man. Despite knowing the kid for the past 45 minutes and having the entire likelihood that Tony is younger than him, he can’t help but feel a sort of parental care over him. Coming back to, he opens the door.
It isn’t Spider-Man. Except it is, except he’s not wearing his mask. Tony then realizes that Spider-Man most definitely is not older than him.
Before he even realizes it, he hears himself say, “Oh my god you’re a child.” The boy before him looks at Tony sheepishly, but seemingly realizing the situation, requests to see his friend. he can only nod, letting in the hero that he now knows is a child.
Internally panicking, he realizes that he still has to call Thor. It’ll be fine if I wait a minute, right? It’s not like Loki is going to freak out horribly, right? Not with all the stories we’ve been told, surely.
Tony spoke too soon.
