Summary
One-shot story. Crack fic. Based on the new She-Hulk trailer. An alternate Bruce Banner arrives to the MCU and gives Jennifer Walters a harsh reality check, making her realize her own desires.

Something that came into my mind after watching the "She-Hulk" trailer. Speaking of that trailer, it looked like trash. It was not good at all. Consider my hopes for this show diminished. Oh wait, I was never excited for this show anyway LOL. Anyway, I needed to address the scene from the trailer where Jennifer/She-Hulk says that only narcissists, billionaires and adult orphans can be heroes, which is total BS.

Disclaimer: I do not own the Marvel Cinematic Universe and the Hulk. It belongs to Kevin Feige, Universal Studios and Marvel Studios.

A bar somewhere in New York

"Look at you, you're a superhero now! You could be an avenger!" A woman named Nikki told Jennifer Walters, who was in her She-Hulk form as they sipped drinks together.

"Oh, I'm not a superhero." Jennifer said. "That is for billionaires, narcissists and adult orphans, for some reasons."

"That is so true." Nikki agreed.

  Edward Norton's Bruce Banner

Suddenly, Jennifer and Nikki heard someone coughing in front of them and they turned around to see a middle-aged man sitting on the table alongside them. He was a tall, lean, handsome man who had a brown hair, blue eyes and a small scar on his left eye. He resembled the actor who played The Narrator/Tyler Durden in Fight Club, a cult classic that Nikki used to watch.

"Excuse me, what are you doing here?" Nikki asked.

"Are are really this shortsighted? You think disrespecting the heroes who saved the world would make you better?" The man told Nikki and Jennifer.

"Who the hell are you?" Jennifer asked.

"I'm Bruce. Bruce Banner, but probably not the one you're expecting." The man said. "I come from another dimension and I ended up in this universe, where I came across my counterpart, who looked like a big green nerd, and I learned that the Multiverse existed. Then, I found out that the other Bruce also had a cousin named Jennifer, who started to gain attention from the media as the new hero "She-Hulk", so I decided to meet her."

"And? There's no way I could believe such bullshit. You're Bruce Banner?" Jennifer let out a fake laugh. "Get outta here."

"Bruce" swallowed as he told her. "You know, I really don't like your attitude, to be quite honest."

"I'm sorry?" Jennifer inquired.

"It's funny that you criticized the man who saved half of the universe as a narcissist, yet you come off as one. If it wasn't for that narcissist billionaire, you wouldn't be here right. You should be thankful." "Bruce" remarked.

"Pfff, wherever. It's not like he saved the world every day." Jennifer said as "Bruce" sighed.

"You probably never even met Tony Stark and yet here you are, judging him because he was an arms dealer. That man might have been flawed, but in the end, he sacrificed his own life to save the universe. I expected gratitude and respect for Stark."

"Hey, those days of superheroes saving the world and doing the right thing are so old school. People want fame and attention nowadays." Nikki attempted to interrupt Jennifer and "Bruce"'s conversation before "Bruce" turned around and faced Nikki.

"Could you put a sock in it? Nobody asked for your complaints." "Bruce" sarcastically remarked, clearly not pleased by her attitude.

"Hey! That's no manner to speak to my friend!"

"You're not that better either, so don't lecture me." Bruce replied grimly as he turned and confronted Jennifer, who was lost for words about her alternate cousin's attitude.

Bruce sighed and rolled his eyes. "I can't believe this. I never thought I'd encounter someone much worse than Ross or Thanos, but you've proved me wrong. Your remarks about Tony. The fact that you revel in your own arrogance. Your desire for self-worth and attention. You've probably spent too much time on social media."

"Look, don't you dare to tell me how to live or..."

"Or what? You're gonna expose me and try and cancel me?" "Bruce" mocked. "You've probably never faced any obstacle in your life. All you care about is feeding your own ego. When I volunteered for the gamma procedure and became the Hulk for the first time, I spent five years running from Ross and the military trying to find a cure for my condition until I realized it was a part of me and that I could use it a force for good. It took a very long time, but eventually, the Hulk and I made peace with each other. When my wife was killed during the Decimation, I mourned her for five years. I never forgave myself for that. I joined my friends in stopping Thanos and brought back half of the universe and afterwards, I decided to become a better person and married the love of my life. And you? You've probably been more concerned about your privilege and never thought about changing yourself for the better, which doesn't surprise me, considering the nature of our society nowadays, so you don't think for a second that you're better than me."

Jennifer had no idea how to react to her alternate cousin's comments, as she was left completely speechless. She never got used to being called out for her actions, yet she knew that he was right. Despite achieving fame and attention from becoming a Hulk like her real cousin, she never particularly struggled or actually worked harder to achieve what she desired.

"Look, Jen, if you have some things in your life to get off your chest, you and your real cousin need to talk this out, because I can't tolerate this behavior." "Bruce" advised Jennifer before he left the bar.

"You alright, Jen?" Nikki asked, still shocked about the argument.

"Yeah, I'm fine. It's just..." Jennifer swallowed before coming to the conclusion. "He's right."

The next day, Jennifer and the real Bruce Banner decided to talk things out and Bruce began helping her become a better person, inspired by the conversation she had with the alternate Bruce last night. Overtime, Jennifer began accepting her form, gaining much more confidence and started to care about other people, while also acknowledging the heroic acts of The Avengers, such as Iron Man and Captain America.

The alternate Bruce went back to his home reality, where he reunited with his wife, Betty, who was expecting their first child together. He also told Betty and the Jennifer from his reality about the brief adventure he had in the Multiverse.
