Stress Eased By Comfort

Blake left her home, yawning. She was about to walk to the cafe when she heard someone call her name. It was Yang. She had brought another helmet for Blake. Yang smiled.

"Good morning Blake."

"Oh- right. Good morning." Blake said, putting the helmet on before sitting behind Yang. To who took off.

"Oh yeah, Weiss is off today. I forgot about that." Yang mumbled to herself.

"Will you be okay? Is this your first time doing this by yourself?"

"Yeah! But I got this. I will do great today!" Yang was smug.

So... today was really busy... and it had to happen on the day Weiss wasn't here! Yang was getting overwhelmed with all the customers. This is her first time working alone!

"U-Uh what did you want?" Yang asked. The customer scoffed.

"3 shots of vanilla."

"Yeah! Okay!" Yang laughed nervously. Looking at the line of impatient people. Yang was nervous. Then came next was her worse customer. Yang was already feeling overwhelmed. She gave the coffee to the customer for him to only drink it, spitting it out.

"THIS TASTE LIKE SHIT! What the hell are you doing?! You useless piece of woman!"

"HEY! DON'T TALK TO ME LIK-"

"YEAH! SHE MESSED UP MY ORDER TOO!" Another customer said. Almost everyone was complaining. It was mostly the rich people that complained. The poor ones were graceful.

"I- Uh-"

"You should be fired!" The woman shouted. Before Yang knows it, she got iced coffee thrown at her. The woman stomps out of anger and left. Yang stood there, covered in iced coffee. Her hair was a mess now. Yang could hear customers complaining. Wondering what was taking forever. Yang teared up.

What's happening?

Why does it feel so tight in her chest?

"I- I need to get out of here..." Yang mumbled she went to the back of the room, where no one could bother her. Yang tried to calm herself. She could hear shoutings but Yang just wanted to be alone. She sat down on the floor to sob into her knees. Yang isn't sure what's happening but it feels like she's dying.

"Yang...!"

Yang looked up, seeing Blake. She was holding Yang's shoulder. "I kicked everyone out and closed the shop. You need a break. Are you okay?" Blake questioned. She sees Yang crying and taking in breath.

"Wh-Why does it feel like I'm going to die?" Yang genuinely sounded scared.

"Panic attack... you're okay. I yelled at them. You're gonna be okay." Blake comforted. "Deep breath, deep b-" Blake was then pulled into a hug. She hugs back.

"I should've interfered... I'm sorry I wasn't able to help." Blake said. "at least you smell like coffee? Smells good." Blake nervously laughed. Yang chuckles. Wiping away her tears.

"I'm sorry... I don't know why I got that... I... I've never had a panic attack." Yang took off her apron and tried to dry herself with the towel.

"It can happen. You were pretty stressed, I could tell. You okay now?" Blake checked. Yang took in a deep breath.

"Yeah... yeah..." Yang breathed out. She stood up. Groaning at her now coffee stained flannel shirt.

"Oh shit. Weiss is going to get so upset about this..." Yang groaned in frustration. Blake tilted her head.

"Why would she? Weiss is a very understanding person..."

Yang was going to say something but nothing came out of her lips. She sighed. "I don't know. I just... hate feeling useless. Hard to explain."

"I see... why don't we take a walk around? It is a beautiful day out there" Blake smiled. Yang smiled back.

"Sure. I don't mind. Let me get my sunglasses from my bag." To which Yang finds and puts them on. "Now I feel extra hot."

Blake giggled.

"Sure thing hot stud."

"Wh-"

Blake left to go head outside. Yang was blushing from what Blake said. Even if she was teasing and messing around, it still brought her to happiness. She sighed and went outside with Blake.

"-and so I was like "what the fuck Ruby-" and my sister is just cackling. Poor Weiss was just wanting to go home." Yang was telling a story to Blake who was laughing.

"Makes me wish I was there." Blake's laughter dies out. Yang grins.

"Well you seem like a good friend of Weiss, and I see you as a good friend too... so I don't see why you can't hang out with us." Yang looks at Blake with happiness.

"Well... that does sound nice but... studies and... transportation. It wouldn't be able to work out." Blake sighs.

"I wish I could though." Blake looks over the patches of grass. Seeing a few flowers.

"The fuck is a faunus doing here?"

Blake froze. A rich dude came up to the girls. Looking annoyed. Yang stood in front of Blake. In fact she pulled Blake into a hug, continuing to walk. The dude scoffed before moving on.

"Wha... Wow. Thanks Yang."

"No problem. They better be scared of me! I know how to fight!" Yang punched the air. Making Blake giggle. She saw the sleeve slide down when Yang punched the air. Blake saw just Yang's muscles.

Holy shit.

"Don't worry. I'll keep you safe. No one's getting near you."

"Thank you... this... means a lot." Blake smiled. She kept walking with Yang.

"Hey. Why don't I come over tonight and eat dinner with you?" Yang suggested.

"As in like... a date?"

"Maybe if you want it to be that?" Yang smirks. Blake rolled her eyes.

"I accept. But I don't think we're quite ready for that yet." Blake pokes at Yang's cheek. Making her smile.

"I'll take it."
