Dad and Daughter
Who are you?"the girl angrily asked.
He couldn't quite place what he was feeling but he was confused.The child made him feel...somehow protective over her and she seemed rather familiar to him?How is that possible if he had just met her?His instincts were telling him that there was something more than the girl being just a random successful attempt given the super-soldier...and the Winter Soldier would figure out what he hadn't been told.
But for now...
"I am your new handler and if you want to survive in a place like this,you might want to change your attitude."the Asset answered in a warning tone.
"And why should i listen to you?"asked the little girl.
"Because if you don't listen to me,you will be given back to your previous handers" answered the Asset.
The girl gulped and slowly made her way towards him while asking"So,what do you want from me?"
"HYDRA wants me to train you."
"Why is that?"
"So that you can become a assassin for them"
"ASSASSIN?"The girl yelled."I DON'T WANT TO KILL ANYONE FOR YOU ALL.I WANT TO GET OUT OF HERE!"
"Keep quiet.You don't have much of choice here child and if you want to survive,you better listen to me"
The girl gritted her teeth."Fine.But don't expect me to like it."
The Asset answered"I truly don't but I know my skills well enough to know I could make you.."
'Assassin?Me?Assassinating people for HYDRA?Killing innocent people?No.No,no,no.There's no way that's true.I don't want to do that...but then again that's the best chance I'll ever have to get out of this place...' the little girl thought.
"When are we starting?"I said.
"Right now.Come at me." my 'new handler' responded.
'I am faster than the average human, I should be able to hit him at least once even if he is trained.'the girl thought.'He wants me to fight him?Ok then.' she hesitated a little but then rushed to him.
Before she could even understand what was happening the Winter Soldier had grabbed her arm and thrown her to the wall. "AHHHH"she screamed. Her whole body was hurting but most of all her arm."YOU"I gasped."Crazy bastard.You broke my arm."the girl cried out in pain.
"It will heal.Now get up.We have merely started"He said.
'That asshole.How does he expect me to stand up while my whole body is hurting'
'Meanwhile the Winter Soldier was watching the girl gasping for air and trying not to scream.' "Stand up"he said. She looked at him with angry tears in her eyes and said
"Asshole.Fucking Nazi"
The Winter Soldier glared at her with a murderous look and saw her trembling."Stand up before i get there and make you get up myself."
She slowly got up and rushed at him again

And again and again and again...
"Please...please...no...no more"the little girl begged,having been beaten multiple times already."I'll do whatever you want...just...please stop."
"Stand up"an emotionless voice and cold as ice was heard.
(You'all thought the Winter Soldier would go easy on her, didn't you?Nope, not a chance.After all he still is HYDRA's puppet and has no idea who the girl actually is.)

That's how it went for many years.Until the fall of SHIELD.Or better the fall of HYDRA or even SHIELDRA.The one in which all of SHIELD's info got dumped into the internet for anyone to see. Thousands agents lost their lifes because of it and most of them were innocent.And the irony?It all happened because of this so called 'heroes'.The Avengers.Captain America and Black Widow.
He remembers training her a few years ago.She was one of the best candidates the Red Room had. But the Winter Soldier could not care less for either her or Captain America.Not when everything was happening so fast.
His head was hurting him and everything was a blur.Ever since Stevie-wait...who is Stevie?Ever since Captain America called him...

{"Bucky...?"Captain America asked in disbelief.
"Who the hell is Bucky?"answered the Winter Soldier.}

But one thing was clear.Now was his chance to finally escape from HYDRA's control and manipulation.From being their Asset.He could finally be free.He alongside with his daughter.
He still remembers the day he actually learned the truth about his and the girl's real relationship.What the Handlers didn't mention was the blood connection between them.It was shocking but not entirely unexpected.It explained how after HYDRA's multiple failed attempts in recreating the Super-soldier and finding people to actually be able to live with it in their bodies more than a few weeks,a young child able to withstand it had appeared.It also explained why they looked so similar and why he felt protective over her when he first met her.
How he found out?He had suspicions so he tested their blood on a mission and it matched.He had asked permission to take the girl,then at nine years old,with him on the mission saying that after five years of training under him,he wanted to test her.
Obviously the mission wasn't something extreme and she hadn't participated in half of it.He had to go on an enemy's base,find some information and kill everyone he saw,then destroy the base.He hadn't allowed her inside while killing everyone but had her with him when searching for information.
Oh and another thing was that the girl couldn't go on a mission and continue to getting called "the girl"or "the child".That's how she got nicknamed "Volkova".A name she would later on continue using on missions or training.

While his head was killing him,he could remember going to find Volkova and escaping with her.For the months that followed,they would hide from place to place and then stay in a small apartment in Bucharest. While all that happened,they also observed how people would act.More specifically how fathers and daughters were supposed to actually act.
To be honest,they were some really dark months before they started to have a healthy bond.They were trying hard not to get caught by HYDRA after their escape and that was not their only problem.The Winter Soldier didn't even understand when he got pushed in the back of his mind and a certain James Buchanan Barnes was suddenly in control of their body with memories of both HYDRA,the 40s and a daughter all mixed together.Or the fact that it was Volkava's first actual time being outside without taking into account her few missions.They both went through a lot but after they reached their apartment in Bucharest,things slowly became better. A certain talk they had also helped a lot.

"I want you to give me a new name."Volcova demanded.
"What...?"Bucky could only stare dumbfounded at the young girl he trained for more than six years.(or at least the Winter Soldier)
Bucky continued staring at his daughter dumfounded.Daughter?Yeah right.He had spend less than few months with her and he had already failed at taking care of her."Are you sure?I am not the man you spent half of your life with."he said finally
"Yes.Yes I'm sure.Winter Soldier or James you are still my dad."Volcova looked hopefully at Bucky.
Bucky took a deep breath.He could understand her want to for a name.After all 'Volcova' was just a nickname like 'Winter Soldier'.
"A name,huh?"He thought about it for a little."How about Fayina?Fayina Barnes. How does tha sound?"
"It sounds wonderful."Fayina answered and Bucky could see her eyes watering.
