Tony couldn't do it anymore.Fighting with Steve nearly every time they saw each other had surely taken a troll on him.Nowadays,if Steve and him weren't fighting each other,that probably would be because Steve and the rest of the Avengers(minus Vision and his Rhodey) were on a mission.Not that they told Tony that they were going on a mission(they weren't idiotic enough to actually believe he didn't know where they were,when they used his gear and equipment,were they?)but Tony simply thought that this was because he had told them that he couldn't go on long missions for a couple of months as had work for S.I to do.
Apparently,having given the position of CEO of Stark Industries to Pepper wasn't enough to get him off meetings or work.And that's why he had to cut short his "Iron manning" as he was a lot busier this past few months.
His fights with Steve weren't helping either but that wasn't the only thing bothering him.After everything that had happened with Ultron,he could see the mistrust in the other Avengers eyes,even Steves.And the irony?Steve had taken Wanda Maximoff under his wing,saying that she was a misjudged child (even though she was over 20).The same Wanda who had played with his mind and had shown him his worst nightmare.
Was he the only one who still got nightmares of her even after all this time?Yes,very likely.Or maybe Clint does too.For a while at least he must have had.At the beginning,he was the only one other than him who was against having the Maximoff twins in the team.He wasn't exactly in good terms with mind control.Not after a certain god of mischief had made him his puppet.That obliviously changed when the older Maximoff twin,Pietro,gave his life to save him.His guilt for the young speedster's sacrifice made him also take Wanda under his wing.He also went as far as to give Pietro's name to his third child(and what a suprise it was once it was revealed the archer actually had two children and a wife).At the end,he decided to retire and be there for his wife and children at the small farm they owned. Tony was worried for the man.Years of working for SHIELD and then being an Avenger surely wouldn't just be forgotten.Tony and Clint had in fact become closer over the years with the pranks they would play on each other.Clint better know that if he and his family ever needed help Tony was only a call away.
His cute science bro also left a little after the battle with Ultron.He didn't blame him at all.Maybe a tiny bit for letting him take all of Ultron's blame on his own but he understood why Bruce would leave.Sometimes he just wanted to turn back time and just hide away with his Brucie-bear and his green buddy.
Lastly,Thor had left too,saying he had to go back to Asgard in search of information.They had yet to hear back from the man.To be honest,Tony missed him.Surprisingly they had gotten along just fine(Thor had experience with cocky rich divas)before a little accident happened with Thor choking him. Unbeknown to others Thor,in the small amount of time they had with Ultron searching for them,had come to find him and apologised.He said he was sorry and he had forgotten that Misgardians bones were weaker than the Asgardians ones and he could have caused actual damage to Tony.Tony had quickly reassured the man that it was fine and Thor hesitated a bit before nodding.

But now.Ohh now was much worse.Steve's team had gone and destroyed properties on other countries.Then Wanda tried protecting Cap from a bomb and they ended up in more trouble. People were out for her blood.Tony tried to protect her by having her stay inside and not allowing her outside.He had tried explaining to Wanda why he was doing it and he thought the woman had understood.She hadn't shown displeasure and spent most of her time with Vision.
Tony was man enough to admit that he could have handed the situation better but between paying for the destruction the Avengers caused and projects for S.I, things got a bit out of control. Especially when they got created...the Sokovia Accords...
People were scared of them.Of all of them.And that's why the Avengers had to take a step back and work with the Accords.But that's not what happened... He tried to explain it to Steve but the man was too stubborn.Not trusting Ross and saying the government wanted to control them and that they had agendas. He had almost gotten the man to put his signature but then he heard about Wanda's house arrest...and then a James Buchanan Barnes came...

Currently he was heading to Siberia because Steve and Bucky were going there.How he knows?Sam Wilson told him they would be going there to fight the rest Winter Soldiers.Luckily,he was able to catch Captain's team with the help of his team.
His Rhodey,the one and only Colonel Rhodes also known as War Machine(there's no way Tony would have let his platypus change the name to Iron Patriot).
The Vision,who Tony couldn't stand listening at the beginning of his creation without thinking of JARVIS.But slowly they began building a bond based on respect and trust.After all Vision still hadn't fully developed so he couldn't understand many emotions.
King T'Challa of Wakanda or Black Panther,who had joined the team in search of Barnes as Barnes was believed to have killed Wakanda's ex-king and T'Challa's father T'Chaka.
Peter Parker who also happened to be Queen's friendly neighbourhood Spiderman.What was Tony thinking when he dragged a 14 years old child in the Avengers fight?Ohh right he thought that Steve wouldn't actually attack them nor that the fight would get so serious.He also thought that the kid would actually listen to him when he told him to keep distance,not that the kid would go and fight the Winter Soldier,Falcon and Steve.
Finally,Black Widow or Natasha Romanoff or Natalie or Natashali or whatever name she chose for the week.After all she changes names as fast as her loyalties.Everything was going well until the end when she switched teams and let Steve,Barnes and Barnes's daughter escape.
And Tony?Tony was angry at Natasha.But also sad.Very sad.He thought that they had gotten closer over the years.All of them had.She was the last one of the original team to stay in his team and not go over to Rogers's.But she did.She betrayed Tony and his trust.And it fucking hurted.The avengers were his family but maybe just maybe to them he was never anything else other than a teammate. Someone who housed them and gave them everything they asked for without demanding anything in return.
When they were going though HYDRA's info after the fall of SHIELD they had found out a well secured information about a project of HYDRA.That project was a biological child of Barnes,HYDRA created twelve years ago.Tony hadn't seen her at the fight but only at the last few minutes when Steve and Barnes were trying to escape.
The kid wasn't allowed at the fight and was told to come only at the end when they would be escaping.Or that's at least what Wilson had said to him when he asked where Steve,Barnes and Fayina(Sam also told him her name) were heading.
Fortunately,they had managed to capture Wilson,Clint and Wanda and the new guy.Ant-man said his name was? Unfortunately,Natasha managed to escape.She was also wanted as she broke the Accords orders for Steve's team(or Rogue Avengers as the media had started calling them)to be captured.
Tony send the Spiderling back saying that he had already done enough and he shouldn't get involved more. And his poor platypus?
Rhodey was in the hospital after having been hit unintentionally by Vision and in danger of never being able to walk again.He had to do something for it after Siberia.Tony also ordered Vision to stay behind with Rhodes and Vision feeling guilty stayed.King T'Challa had also left(probably in search of Steve and Barnes too).
That's how Tony found himself heading to Siberia without any form of backup other than his baby girl,FRIDAY.The AI he created after the death of his beloved AI JAVRIS.
