The Beginning
~Eleven years ago~
WINTER SOLDIER POV:
The Asset was listening to some handers talking,probably wondering what to do with him or for another mission.He couldn't understand what they were saying.Not because they were speaking Russian but because he had just come back from a mission and he was pretty out of it.He probably needed to be put on that chair again and god knows how much he hates that chair.
If he wasn't being put to that chair for a while,he would always feel like that.He felt different.Like his body wasn't in control of his mind.He was listening to small whispers in his mind stopping him from completing the mission.And from time to time he would hear a woman's lullaby in his mind or see pictures of some specific people.An old and tired looking woman,three younger women and a young skinny man who seemed to always be hurt.He couldn't understand why.Had he killed them before?He didn't feel like he had killed them before.That probably means that they were either victims of his or worked for HYDRA.
"Soldier"one of his handers said."With me."
He followed the man to another room.It looked like a infirmary and the 'doctors' of HYDRA were there.
"Sit"the handler pointed to a chair.
The Asset complied.The doctors started doing some tests on him and at some point he felt a huge dose of sleeping drugs in his system being given to him.He didn't knew what they were planning on doing with him but he didn't really want to know so he let the drugs in his system do their job and make him fall asleep.
Unfortunately the Winter Soldier wouldn't understand the significant of that day for the next five years.
~five years later~
"Asset,with me"a handler said.He seemed familiar.
The Asset followed.
"You remember how you trained the girls at the Red room,the little black widows,don't you soldier?We need you to do that again but this time perfect it.Make it perfect.An untouchable warrior.An incredible force to be up against.Understood?"
"Yes,sir"the soldat replied.
"Good.From now on you will be both a trainer and a hander to her."
'Her,so it I a girl I wil train...'the Winter Soldier though.
"Another thing is that she too has the same serum as yours running through her veins..."
The Asset was surprised to hear that.Only all his years of training made him not show it.
"...so her abilities must be the same as yours if not a bit better or worse..." he said the last word with hated and disgust. "You also will keep giving us regular updates on her."
"Of course sir"
They reached a room and in it the Winter Soldier could see three men trying to hold in one place a young girl.A really young girl.The child couldn't be older than six years old.The girl was small and thin,she had blue eyes and dark brown hair.They were short and a bit curly.She was wearing a white t-shirt and shorts(both very dirty).The child looked starved,dehydrated,tired and obviously she looked like she hadn't been showered in days.She was also hurt.A lot hurt actually and judging by the bruises and cuts,new and old,in her whole body she must have been in HYDRA for some time if not her whole life.Not to mention the bruises of handcuffs in her arms and legs and a large bruise around her neck which he suspected was made by someone choking her.
Was she the girl HYDRA wanted him to teach?The wanted to bring someone so young in a world like theirs...to face such hardships.While he can't remember much about the girls he trained at the Red room,he could remember that they were at least teenagers,not this young.
However,she can't be a weak child if they want him to train her.Having a young child like her trained by the Winter Soldier himself,the fist of HYDRA?She truly isn't a failed attempt.HYDRA must have actually found another human able to withstand the super-soldier serum,like he had.
"She's in your hands now,Soldier.Don't disappoint us."said the man that bought him here.
"Never,sir"the Asset answered.
The Winter Soldier saw how all the men walked out of the room at that.He turned to look at the little girl and saw her staring at him with a look of fury(which probably is directed to the men from before),confusion, tiredness,suspicion and...
"Who are you?"the girl angrily asked.
He couldn't quite place what he was feeling but he was confused.The child made him feel...somehow protective over her and she seemed rather familiar to him?How is that possible if he had just met her?His instincts were telling him that there was something more than the girl being just a random successful attempt given the super-soldier...and the Winter Soldier would figure out what he hadn't been told.
