Five
Bellatrix pulled me through the streets of Diagon Alley, occasionally stopping long enough that it looked like we were window shopping. It was kind of fun until Trixie suddenly disapparated and I along with her.
"Couldn't you at least warn me before you do that," I cried, startled and slightly dizzy, not that I'd ever let anyone know that much less show it. Trix just snorted and continued pulling me through the... What was this? A mansion? "Hey, Trix, exactly where the fuck are we?"
"My boss' place. Now, I am going to speak to my boss. You are to stand in the corner and roll that knife between your fingers and look terrifying. Capische?"
"Fine," I groaned.
Bellatrix rolled her eyes and sighed, "One more thing, well, two, really, but anyway, do exactly as I say."
"And the second thing?"
"Damn you for interrupting, I was getting to that."
"Are you going to tell me or not?"
"........"
"I'll set cats on you," I glared.
Trixie shook her head and said, "You may end up being assigned another job. It's not a certainty, though."
"That's what you're worried about," I laugh, "if I were you, I'd be worried that I would go berserk and kill everyone in one of my not-so-infamous episodes, which, by the way, are very rare at this point." Bellatrix rolls her eyes, clearly not worried.
I open my mouth to say something, and Trixie snaps her fingers in my face and snaps, "Silence! We're here!"
My jaw shuts with a click, and I nod and quickly pull up my hood, hiding my brown eyes from view, never mind that I'm wearing colored contacts and shouldn't have to worry anyway, but whatever.
"Ah, Bellatrix, welcome back. And oh, you've brought someone with you!"
The voice, though I was not sure that it was the dark lord's, sent shivers up my spine, though I kept my spine ramrod straight and my face blank, eyes void of all emotion, even if they couldn't see them.
"Now, now, Rudolphus, I'm sure that the other has a reason for being here," a smooth, rich baritone purred, and if that didn't send shivers up my spine (the good kind), I didn't know what would.
"Yes, My Lord," the first, eerie voice said. Now, I moved a little more into the room, seeing the two who had been speaking for the first time. One, I could clearly tell, was Rudolphus Lestrange, and the other had to be the dark lord. Though, I hadn't realized he would come back like that. Tall, dark-haired, and handsome. 'Well, fuck me,' I thought with exasperation.
"Go stand over in that corner and look terrifying," Bellatrix whispered to me, pointing. I nodded and moved quickly, making sure to pull out the massive throwing knife I always had on me, no matter what (this was the favorite knife, though it was more dagger than knife anyway). I considered it a kind of good luck charm. Add that to the fact that it was coated with a pair of toxins that worked perfectly together, one making the other impossible to pick up on and therefore impossible to cure in time if you could even get your hands on the cure. I twiddled it between my fingers, watching the others in the room for their reactions. Rudolphus blanched when his eyes landed on the runes and glyphs on the knife. He could translate them easily, I knew, hence my pulling out this particular knife. The Dark Lord followed his gaze, and his eyes widened slightly, almost imperceptibly, in shock.
"Does she know what, exactly, she's holding," Rudolphus whispered, pale as marble (well, white marble, anyway).
I smirked, "Actually, she does, and unless you want it buried in your trachea, I suggest you shut it." The two exchanged a glance, and Bellatrix elbowed me firmly in the ribcage. I stood my ground and made no movement when she elbowed me a little harder.
"Shut up," Bellatrix whispered urgently, "unless you want to get crucio'd."
"I severely doubt it would be the worst thing in the world," I whispered back while rolling my eyes.
"Okay, who exactly is your friend, Bellatrix," The Dark Lord said.
"No offense, but I can speak for myself," I said, holding up a hand in Trixie's direction, preventing her from speaking, "I am the assassin, Belladonna. And you are?"
Once again, the two exchange looks, before The Dark Lord-okay, that's getting annoying, let's call him TDL from now on, yes?-said, "Why would you, Bellatrix, bring an assassin here?"
"Again, I can answer this one. I'm her surrogate daughter." Bellatrix rolls her eyes, exasperated. TDL's eyes widen briefly before he blinks, and Rudolphus, who doesn't seem to have nearly as much decorum, well, his jaw hits the floor. "Now, can we get down to business, please? I was told there may or may not be a job for me."

Sorry it's so short but a) I'm a master procrastinator and b) I needed to get an update out. I really like this chapter for reasons I honestly cannot explain.
