The plan
Draco Malfoy and Severus Snape walked in the door of Number 12 Grimuald place. Which was confusing because he didn’t remember seeing a door with a 12 when he landed on the porch. He shrugged it off and decided to ask his godfather later on when things weren’t as important. They walk through the house only to be surrounded by Weasleys and a Granger. All presenting with a look of shock and slight disgust. He kept his head high and walked into the kitchen where he saw a load of familiar faces.
“You’re Sirius Black!” He shouted before he could think of what to say.
Black chuckled and nodded his head. “I get that a lot. Pleased to meet Cissy’s son. She always was one of my favorite cousins,” at that a woman to his right flared her hair a bright red. ‘Must be Nymohadora’ he thought. “Besides Andy of course.” Black added. Draco nodded and sat down at an empty spot towards the back of the table. He saw Lupin standing behind Black, Mad-Eye Moody and Kingsley Shacklebolt were stationed further off towards the head of the table by the Weasley parents and the two oldest sons. Not long later Dumbledore walked through the door and set a potion in front of him. Draco could’ve guessed what it was, but waited for an explanation.
“Veritaserum my dear boy. Severus brewed it himself,” Dumbledore said. Draco looked up at Severus who nodded confirming its safety before Draco uncorked the vial and downed the potion. He saw the rest of the Weasley clan fill in by the door out of the corner of his eye.
“Now, Mr. Malfoy, you have information for us regarding Mr. Potter?” Dumbledore asked.
“Uhm well yes. I mean if you’re asking where he is I know, he’s at Malfoy Manor, in a cell. If they haven’t moved him yet that is.”
“What do you mean move him?” Moody asked.
“The cells work in weird ways, similar magic to the staircases at Hogwarts, the positions change around every few hours. While his cell itself is the same, the placement in the dungeon is relatively random.”
“How is he?” Black asked.
“Considering he felt the wrath of the Dark Lord multiple times and hasn’t lost his mind? Pretty damn good. He was surly with me when I went and gave them a pain potion and some bread earlier today.” He noticed the glare he got, guess they thought he should’ve given more than bread, “I couldn’t sneak anything else, the bread was from the kitchens, they would’ve noticed.”
“But the potions weren’t from the kitchens?” Kingsley asked.
“No, they were from my own stock that I made before I left Hogwarts.”
“You said they, who else is with him?” Granger finally spoke up asking. Drawing attention to the rest of the teenagers in the room. Apparently none of the adults noticed until right then.
“You should not be here, you are all too young! You don’t need to hear this!” Mrs. Weasley scolded.
“Mum, we have every right to be here as the rest of you. Harry is my best mate, I refuse to stand down about this.” Weasley said back. Draco was shocked and it seemed the rest of them were too.
“If I may, they should hear this. I know if it were my friends I wouldn’t stand back and wait until my friend came home.” Draco said. Obviously not what anyone was expecting, but the argument was dropped. “Anyway, Granger. Yeah I said they. Please do not ask me how I know or how it happened or even if they’re the real deal. The Dark Lord is convinced they are, and so does Potter.”
“Who are real?” Lupin asked.
“James and Lily Potter. They’ve been at the Manor for about a week or so…” Draco trailed off.
Black and Lupin whip their heads to each other while Weasley and Granger share a look and Weaselette covers her mouth.
“It was real….” Granger whispered
“Moony, they’re alive,” Black said.
“Now hold on a minute, what was real?” The oldest of the Wealseys asked.
“Uhm Harry had a dream right before his trial, it was uhm of his parents being tortured. We all assumed it was that Halloween, but if Malfoy says they're alive…” Weasley said. His face turned paler than Draco had ever seen.
“That’s what you guys were talking about when we walked in?” One of the twins asked. The remaining of the trio plus Weaselette nodded. ‘I really need to start using their names’ Draco thought.
“They were being tortured and we had didn’t believe him when he said it was real.” Black whispered. “YOU TOLD HIM IT WAS A MEMORY!” He shouted at Dumbledore.
“Sirius, how was I to know that the Dark Lord found a way to bring them back when no magic has ever been able to do that before?”
“At the end of the third task, Harry said he saw his parents come out of his wand. They and Cedric saved him from Voldemort,” Granger said.
“Priori Incantatem…” Severus whispered “Is the boy even strong enough for that?”
“He produced a corporeal patronus in his third year,” Lupin responded. Much to the shock of Draco. That was some advanced magic. ‘Of course Potter could do that,’ he thought bitterly.
“The connection in the wands and sheer will must’ve been enough,” the second oldest Weasley said. ‘Charles or Charlie?’ Draco asked himself.
There was a long pause before Black finally spoke up. “How are we going to get them out?”
“The Dark Lord is gone for the next few days. Recruiting or something in Albania, we should get them out tomorrow night.” Draco responds. “I haven’t got a clue how to though. Apparition wards are in place.”
“What about a house elf? Couldn’t Dobby get in there? He’s able to appirate in and out of Hogwarts and he was your elf after all.” Ron spoke up. The ginger pray does have a brain. Why didn’t I think of that? Draco thought. Granger must’ve had a similar idea becuase she looked at him with a hint of shock. “What I pay attention when you talk!” Weasley responded.
“That should work. I can get them out of the cell, have Potter call him and take them all back here.” Draco nods. The order nods along with the plan and Dumbledore removes himself, probably to grab Dobby from Hogwarts, but he’s pretty unsure as he didn’t bother to ask.
“Come on Draco, we must leave now. We can’t raise any more suspicion than we’ve already caused” Severus says as he leads him out of the kitchen. They make their way to the porch and Severus appirates them back to Malfoy Manor.
Everyone eventually cleared out of the kitchen with the exception of Ron, Hermione, Sirius and Remus. Sirius looked at Remus with tears in his eyes.
“They’ve been there for a week. Why didn’t we take his dream seriously? We knew how they died, it didn’t add up.” Remus shook his head, his own eyes welling up.
“Do you think Harry believes them?” Ron asked
“He’s smart. Probably had to check them out himself before he believed them.” Hermione responded with a low chuckle.
“Reckon he lost his shite” Ron said. Hermione didn’t even bother correcting his language.
“Just like his mother” Remus said with a crack in his voice. He then conjures a bottle of firewhiskey and four glasses. “You tell anyone about this I will deny it to my grave” Ron and Hermione nod and accept their own glasses before Remus hands one to Sirius. The four of them sit in an uncomfortable silence for the res for the evening.
