Step Asi- "Tea?"
Lily stopped at the end of her staircase and blinked. "Voldemort?"
Said dark lord nodded. "I am only here for the child, Evans. Where is he?"
Lily tilted her head. "He's not here."
"What? If you are lying to me, you foolish girl-" Voldemort was quite frankly, baffled, over the eye roll he received in response.
"He's with James this weekend?" Lily prompted as if Voldemort should have known this.
Voldemort appraised her, before deciding she was too calm to be lying. "Very well. I shall take my leave."
"Wait," Lily called, as the Dark Lord turned to the door. Was he really planning on using the door? How odd. "You don't actually think I'm going to just let you go off and kill my son, do you?"
Voldemort pulled his wand. "I don't see what you could do to stop me."
Lily glared at Voldemort. The dark lord blanched. Just who was this woman?
"Let's not find out," Lily retorted. "Have a seat."
In shock, Voldemort listened. Lily took the sofa across from him.
"Now," Lily began, "why exactly do you want my son?"
Voldemort blinked again, astounded that she was seriously questioning him. "There is a prophecy-"
"A prophecy?" Lily cut in, "As in, the shoddy one Severus told you about?"
"How do you know of that?" Voldemort snarled, hand once again gravitating toward his wand.
Lily flattened him with a glare. "I'm a legilimens. Severus' mind is an open book when we're having sex."
The dark lord grimaced but accepted the truth for what it was. Just what was this woman on? And how dare she talk to him like this? Wait, why was he letting her?
"Have you heard the whole prophecy?" Lily asked.
Voldemort slowly shook his head, causing Lily to sigh. "How about you go get it, and then we can discuss it together?"
"Why are you doing this, Evans?" Voldemort demanded, baffled.
"To save my son," Lily responded. Obviously.
Voldemort squinted at her before disapparating. He returned a few moments later with a foggy orb.
"SPT to APWBD? Oh, Merlin, I'd forgotten Trelawny had made the prophecy," Lily bemoaned, observing the orb. "Okay," Lily stated, as Voldemort reclaimed his seat. "If this prophecy is even accurate, I'm sure it doesn't say you have to do something so drastic as to kill a random baby."
Voldemort grumbled, playing the orb.
"The one with the power to vanquish the Dark Lord approaches... born to those who have thrice defied him, born as the seventh month dies... and the Dark Lord will mark him as his equal, but he will have power the Dark Lord knows not... and either must die at the hand of the other, for neither can live while the other survives... the one with the power to vanquish the Dark Lord will be born as the seventh month dies...."
"Welp, that's a crock of crap," Lily announced, standing up. "Tea?"
What the fuck.
"Green," Voldemort replied.
"Gotcha."
"Lily, I'm-"
"Hi, Sev. I was just going to get started on dinner. Any requests?" Lily cut in.
Severus tried again, "Lily-"
"Evening, Severus," Voldemort then greeted, smirking.
"My Lord," Severus replied. "I-"
Lily again asked, "Dinner, Sev?"
"I have no requests, Lily," Severus replied, giving up.
Lily turned, "What about you, Severus' Lord?"
"Something red," Voldemort replied, nastily grinning at Severus.
"Of course, you would say that," Lily chortled.
Severus shook his head and ascended to shower.
