Chapter 4
Danzō was covered with boils.
Which was alarming all by itself. He was an A Rank jounin shinobi. He should have enough chakra to prevent such unpleasant irritating conditions from cropping up. Even a D rank chuunin should be resistant to minor infections and ailments that plagued Civilians.
No, the really, truly alarming thing was that the boils spelled out "宄". They were all over his body! They were all over his face!
Transformation technique didn't hide them! Instead of boils spelling out 'traitor' on Danzō's face, he had boils spelling out 'traitor' on his borrowed face.
They also popped up on his Shadow Clones!
He resorted to covering the first one with a bandage and another popped up! And then another and another! His entire body would have to be wrapped up like a mummy to hide them all!
He blamed the red-haired child had been found by Viper wandering around the Forbidden Forest. Seeing what could be a long-lost Uzumaki, the child was snatched up by the Root ANBU and taken into one of their secret facilities for testing. The boy's Chakra is amazing! They've never seen coils like it!
Root's prize was exciting enough that Danzō himself came down to have a look at the prize they captured.
The shaggy haired youth was wearing an odd gown and felted cone-shaped, broad-brimmed hat. His odd garments made them first think he was a girl child. If he were proved to be an Uzumaki 'she' would have been a prize for their breeding program!
The medical exam revealed the boy to be well, a boy! Less exciting than a female Uzumaki like Mito-Hime and Kushina-sama but a valuable prize all the same.
The potential full-blood Uzumaki sat on a stool fiddling with a willow branch. Root ANBU had examined it and found it to be an inert piece of wood and so let him keep it.
Right up until Danzō had entered, the child had been perfectly biddable and passive. Silently following the Root ANBU into captivity and submitting to any test or exam they desired to perform. He never spoke, he never complained, he never defied them in any way. He just watched and listened silently.
Honestly, it was pretty unnerving!
However all that changed when Danzō Shimura entered the interrogation room and the sight of Danzō changed all that! The red-haired boy had been completely silent until that moment shouted out nonsense words whilst clutching his comfort stick.
Boils spelling 'traitor' immediately popped up across Danzō's forehead!
The rest of Root's ANBU healers were useless! Completely useless! Not a single thing they did made the boils go away.
Mind you the rest of Root was puking up slugs.
None of them could be seen in public and then disaster struck! Every damn piece of furniture in Konoha's administration buildings, whether they were official or unofficial like Root's, decided to go for a walk!
Danzō Shimura and Hiruzen Sarutobi had no idea if it was Kinton or Mokuton that had caused every single desk and cabinet containing their secret files to take a walk to every Shinobi Clan and Family with a kekkei genkai and spewing their plans and schemes out at their feet!
Those same Shinobi Clans and Families had immediately demanded an emergency meeting with the Hokage and the Council.
Hiruzen Sarutobi thought he could tap dance his way out of trouble or at least put down any thoughts of rebellion. After all, Danzō was plotting to eliminate the Sandaime down the road too! He was surely as much a victim as the other clans! Right? Right!?
When the Root ANBU had been confronted by Konoha's real ANBU, Danzō Shimura had been sure that Root would triumph....only to see them immediately surrender!
The slug puking Root ANBU believed that Tsunade Senju, the Fourth Hokage candidate, had secretly developed some sort of weird Slug Hiden and inflicted it on them and the only way to free them of their slug puking Juinjutsu was surrender to Konoha T&I and her authority!
The red-haired Uzumaki child disappeared, along with all traces of his existence, from the secret lab along with all the other breeding program candidates that had been imprisoned there.
Later on a family of alleged Uzumaki descendants were welcomed into Konohagakure by Yondaime Hokage. She added them to the Senju Clan genealogy and let them make their home in the Senju Clan Compound.
The former Root ANBU shuddered in horror when they saw a familiar face amongst the family members being welcome into the Senju Clan Compound.
The boy in question seemed to be able to see them as clear as day despite being cloaked in ANBU's strongest miezaru jutsu!
He looked to one side at Tsunade-hime and then to the other side at the 'Uzumaki' Elders, and seeing nobody was paying him any attention accept the former Root ANBU, he held up his toy stick and made a throat-cutting gesture with it.
YIKES!!!!
The all silently vowed to never speak of what they saw and heard and to give the 'Uzumaki Clan' a very wide berth!
