We are going to Hogwarts
Mother was showering both me and James with kisses and hugs on the platform of the train station. James' face went bright red like a pepper and I snickered to myself. I personally did not mind the affection mother was showing us. James dragged me away from our parents and screamed a long goodbye at them. I simply waved from my position next to my twin.
I turned around and headed onto the crowded train, I could still hear my mother's voice tearing up that her babies are leaving, but of course she didn't show it as was fitting of a member of the House of Black and Potter. As I was lost in my thoughts, I bumped into another boy, in our same year it seems and a Malfoy to boot. His eyes widened at the sight of me before he schooled his face into one befitting his... status. I turned my nose up at him before turning around and trying to find James. As soon as I found him I ran after him, not giving the boy behind me a second glance. If I had, I would have seen him staring off at me dreamily, before his friends came to tease him about it.
As soon as I found James I dragged him into an empty compartment with only another student in there. He seemed like a first year as well but he had many scars slashed across his face which made him look older. "Whoa. Cool!," James whispered but it seemed he wasn't too quiet because the boy scrunched in on himself and I gave James a withering glare that I learnt from mother that made him cower away from me.
The other boy gave a little laugh that instantly are me want to coo over him. Thankfully before I could do that, another boy came in, his silky black hair tied up in a bun and strands of hair framing his face. His grey eyes immediately made me place him as a child of House Black, but he seemed... a little different to the rest of them. For one, he seemed to radiate with sunshine and two, Blacks do not typically shine, in a matter of speaking.
As James was getting acquainted with the others, another three people came in. A small, mousy boy who seemed terrified of his own shadow ( definitely not a Gryffindor that's for sure), a girl with long fiery hair and another boy with shoulder length black hair and skin so pale that it looked like he never leaves his house.
The mouse boy seemed to attach himself to my brother, who was staring at the girl with a dreamy look on his face which only I noticed. I snickered and shoved him, breaking him out of his spell enough to glare and grumble at me. He was too scared to do anything else because he knows that mother taught me all the jinxes I needed to protect myself. The others soon noticed me after our little scuffle and I waved sweetly. I rolled my eyes internally as they looked between me and James before realisation came to their brains. Not ravenclaws, definitely. Apart from the boy with pale skin, who seemed to be doing an excellent poker face. He would be a good friend.
I stopped my calculating when I heard my twin cough and say cheerfully, "So, what are your names and what house do you think you'll go to?"
After the subject change, we got to know one another. Lily Evans expected to go to Ravenclaw or Gryffindor, Sirius Black (I knew it!) wanted to go to Gryffindor to spite his parents, Remus Lupin expected Hufflepuff or Ravenclaw, Peter Pettigrew expected Hufflepuff, Severus Snape expected Slytherin as did I and my brother expected Gryffindor. I believe that all will go as they plan apart from Remus who I suspect will go into Gryffindor with the rest of them.
