Finally There
I couldn't take my mind off the other first year that had bumped into me on the train. His beautiful silk black locks and his eyes- oh his eyes. They were the most beautiful emerald colour with hints of honey gold in them. I could look into them for an eternity and never get bored. I wasn't talking to Jasper since he made me look away from the Angel and I lost sight of him. Avery was whining and bugging me but I won't talk to him until I find my angel again. I finally saw him as we were walking down the path to what led to the lake. His beautiful eyes that had looked at me with scorn were now facing away from me but I could tell that they were laughing at what seemed to be his brother, perhaps twins?
I froze as his eyes flashed towards me and the light quickly faded and was soon replaced with annoyance. My eyes quickly left his and my cheeks warmed from what I was sure was the cold.
'Firs' years, this way! Follow me! Careful now , don' wan' to ge' hur' now do we?" A seemingly gentle giant said. He got on a rickety boat and said, "Now! Four te a boat!" I looked at him incredulously, he can't really expect me to get on that boat did he!?
Somehow, the green eyed angel ended up on my boat along with my three friends, Rabastan and Rodolphus Lestrange and Jasper Avery. He sniffed imperiously and looked ahead, his delicately balanced body not even wobbling as the boats floated towards the castle as soon as the giant said, "FORWARD!"
Jasper elbowed me, snickering, before I gave him my most deadly glare, to which he whimpered at. The twins laughed at him and I looked hopefully at my soulmate before deflating when I saw that he had not even looked at my frightening display of deadliness.
I really hope we both get into Slytherin as I am definitely going there and him being there would make my attempts at wooing him much easier. The giant led us up to the castle and knocked on the door and it creaked open. We were all whispering to each other, well I wasn't whispering, I had much more decorum than lowering myself to that, and I realised with pleasure that neither was the boy. Jasper, on the other hand, had no such reservations. "Do you think that we have to fight a troll to get sorted into our house? That's what my cousin Bromhilda told me, but I couldn't tell if she was joking or not."
I sighed, Jasper was much too gullible for his own good. But if his cousin told him already, what difference does it make. "Yes, my father told me the same thing, so it must be true, because father never lies to me." I say with a solemn attitude. Jasper whimpers and I stifle a laugh. That's what he gets for what he did at the platform.
Mcgonagall leads us into the Great Hall after a long speech and I instantly see what father was talking about. The sky enchanted to look like the stars were mythical and I instantly loved it. We were all muttering in awe, when the sorting hat started its song. As it finished and bowed to all four houses, the entire hall burst out into raucous applause. I tuned out of the sorting before I saw the green eyed boy going up to the name, 'Potter, Hadrian!' He was instantly given to the noble house of Slytherin which made me want to cheer more than a little bit. His brother stood there shocked before shrugging his shoulders and going up when his name is called.
