The Return

"Harry? Are you okay?"

Harry looked up at Cedric leaning over him.

"Yeah, I'm fine."

He said while clutching his right ankle. Cedric touched it gently, Harry winced.

"You're not fine Harry.. I think you sprained your ankle."

Cedric looked around their surroundings. "How did we even get here?"

"I don't know. We just touched the cup and-The Cup! The cup is a port key! We can use it to get us back to Hogwarts!"

Harry jumped up, forgetting about his sprained ankle, and collapsed straight away.

"Harry!"

Cedric caught Harry before he could hit the ground. Harry smiled at him.

"Thanks, Cedric."

Cedric smiled back. He noticed how close their faces were. Just mere inches apart. If Cedric leaned in just slightly, their lips would connect. He looked into Harry's emerald green eyes and leaned in ever so slightly. The breeze picked up significantly. The two boys pulled apart quickly, surveying the environment. A quiet, raspy whisper could be heard.

"Kill the spare."

A flash of bright green zoomed towards Cedric. Harry noticed what it was and pushed Cedric out of the way of the curse. Only to get hit by it himself. Illuminating the whole graveyard in a soft eerie green glow.

"HARRY! HARRY!"

Cedric stumbled to his feet and ran over to Harry. He turned him around so he could see his face. Harry's eyes were closed but he was breathing. Cedric sighed in relief. He grabbed his hand and said,

"It'll be fine Harry. I'll get us out of here."

Cedric looked around for the Triwizard Cup. But all he saw was a short, chubby, ugly man walking into the graveyard. It was night, so all he could see was a dark silhouette. Before Cedric could grab his wand, the man yelled,

"PETRIFICUS TOTALUS."

A small blue light flashed from the man's wand and hit Cedic in the chest. Freezing his body in place. Cedric fell to the hard ground without a sound. The short man walked over to Cedric to identify he was frozen.

"Wormtail... Get the boy."

The raspy voice said. Wormtail quickly moved away from Cedric to the unconscious Harry. He picked Harry up over his shoulder and carried him to a grave. He magicked a strong rope to tie the boy in place, standing up, against the white grave. When the rope finished binding Harry to the grave, Wormtail made sure it was tight enough so that if Potter woke up, we won't be able to escape. His breathing quickened when he was instructed to move the other boy into Harry's line of sight.

"Wake the boy up..."

Wormtail pointed his wand at Cedric and said the reverse incantation of the spell. Cedric sat up and breathed heavily as soon as it was lifted. He looked up at Wormtail. Then his eyes moved to Harry tied to the grave. His eyes widened in fear. Cedric tried to run over to him, only to be held down by vines that grabbed at his wrists and ankles. He watched as Wormtail moved to Harry.

"STAY AWAY FROM HIM!"

Cedric yelled. Wormtail ignored him. He was centimetres away from Harry when he slapped him on the cheek, effectively waking him up. Harry was startled awake by a searing pain in his cheek. He looked up and saw Wormtail standing in front of him. He saw movement behind the ugly man and saw Cedric trying to get free of the vines.

"CEDRI-MMhf."

Wormtail forced a gag into his mouth. Muffling his shouts. Cedric looked up at the voice and saw Harry with tears running down his cheeks. He could feel them running down his own too. Harry was struggling to break free of the tight ropes that bound him to the grave.

"LET HIM GO! YOU MONSTER!"

Cedric shouted at Wormtail, his voice filled with hate. Wormtail spared a glance at the boy on the ground but continued to the edge of the graveyard. He disappeared. Cedric turned back at Harry, still struggling against the ropes.

"Harry."

Harry didn't hear him. "Harry!"

Cedric said louder. Harry stopped struggling and stared into Cedric's eyes while Cedric stared into Harry's eyes; whose glistened with tears.

"We'll get out of this. Okay, Harry. We'll find a way to get out of here, grab the port key and get back to Hogwarts."

Harry's expression did not make him look like he believed that they'd get away. "Nod your head, Harry."

Cedric said firmer. Harry nodded his head. Cedric smiled. 'I hope it's true,' he thought.

Harry's P.O.V.

I saw Cedric smile. It was beautiful. It has always been beautiful. It always reached his soft grey eyes. I stopped struggling against the ropes and just looked at Cedric for comfort. He has always been one to give it. I tried to smile back at him but forgot I had the gag in my mouth so it ended up looking stupid. Cedric chuckled. A loud scraping sound echoed throughout the graveyard. My eyes snapped over to Wormtail pushing a large cauldron towards us. I wonder why he isn't using magic. A simple Wingardium Leviosa would suffice. He stopped pushing it around five meters away from me. My eyes moved to the bundle of cloth Wormtail was cradling like a baby. He unravelled whatever was in the cloth and dropped it into the cauldron. He then walked towards me, his wand out. He pointed it at me. I closed my eyes in anticipation. Nothing happened. I opened my eyes and Wormtail was walking away with a bone.

"The bone of the father, unwillingly given."

He dropped the bone into the cauldron. I saw him take out something silver and sharp from his pocket. "The f-fl-flesh of the s-servent... w-willingly s-sacrificed. You may revive y-your master." I wanted to cover my ears so I didn't have to hear the blood-curdling scream made by Wormtail. I heard a splash. My eyes opened and what I saw was just gruesome. Wormtail sliced his own hand off! I panicked when he started walking toward me, staring me in the eye, holding the bloody knife. I quickly looked at Cedric and saw him struggling against the vines that held him down again. I felt a hot breath against my neck. Wormtail plunged the knife just below my shoulder. Making me scream, but it was muffled by the gag. Blood seeped into the fabric of my t-shirt, dripping down my arm. Wormtail held a vial and collected some of my blood. "T-the blood of t-the enemy, forcibly taken. You may r-revive your enemy."

With those last words, he poured my blood into the cauldron. The wind started up again, blowing my hair in my face. A bright blinding glow erupted from the cauldron. An ugly baby-like animal rose out of the cauldron, curled up. It spun quickly and slowly transformed into a man.

"Robe me!"

Wormtail scurried to robe the man. Cedric and I were paralyzed. Not by a spell. Everything that just happened... Lord Voldemort just rose out of a cauldron for Merlin's sake! But he looked different from the last time I saw him... He wasn't attached to a professor's head. He had a whole body. Voldemort turned to face the tied-up boys. He had smooth pale skin, beautiful midnight black hair, fiery-red eyes that burned with passion and the smirk that was plastered on his face made him look like the Slytherin he is. He stalked towards me gracefully. My scar started tingling.

"Harry Potter. The Boy-Who-Lived. Completely vulnerable and helpless."

My eyes widened in fear. Voldemort stepped closer to me. His smirk never left his flawless face. He lifted his hand and removed the gag. I could finally get the disgusting taste out of my mouth. "I've always dreamed about doing this." He said in a calm yet sinister voice.

"W-what do you mean?"

I asked. Before I could say anything else, Voldemort stunned Wormtail.

"I don't want to be disturbed by him."

I gave him a questioning look. I opened my mouth to speak but closed it as soon as I felt Voldemort’s lips on mine. His hand cupped my face. My scar burned. It felt like my head was going to explode. I tried to pull my head away from Voldemort's, but his hand held my face firmly. Not letting me move it away.

"Stop! STOP! STOP IT!"

I heard Cedric yell. Voldemort finally took his face away from mine. I gasped. My vision blurred and I saw spots on the edges. 'No. Don't pass out now.' I thought. Voldemort was walking towards Cedric

"So, Potter saved you from the Killing Curse... Interesting..." Voldemort stood in front of Cedric, thinking hard. After a minute he said the reverse spell to the stunning spell and said, "Wormtail, untie the boy. When Potter saved him from the Killing Curse, he himself got hit with it instead of this boy. No one in their right mind would do that for someone unless they love them dearly." Voldemort paused and Wormtail quickly untied Cedric while Voldemort gave him time. He was shaking so badly. Chopping his own hand off must've been traumatising.

Cedric stood up and backed away from the two other men.

"Stop!" Cedric froze where he stood. Voldemort turned to face me smirking. "Is it true that you love him, Potter?" I blushed. Not trusting my voice, I stayed silent. Voldemort took that as my answer. "I will show you how it feels to lose someone you love, but actually remember it." I stared at him in shock. Voldemort said the spell so quickly I couldn't comprehend what just happened.

A green flash of light burst out of his wand, illuminating the graveyard in a green eerie glow. It was in slow motion, the green light hit Cedric and he slowly fell backwards, flying backwards a few feet first. His eyes were wide open, his lips parted, and his facial expression was surprised, scared and in shock. I couldn't see his chest rising. I only saw a manic smirk on Voldemort's pale face.

Cedric... was... dead...

Cedric... was... dead...

It took me a minute to remember how to breathe. Voldemort's laughter filled the air. It was sickening. He faced me, his red eyes glowing.

"Now, you are mine..."

He whispered just loud enough for me to hear. I was so confused. I thought Dumbledore said that Voldemort was incapable to love.

"S-stay away from me!"

I yelled at him. My voice was filled with anger. Voldemort paused.

"All right,\\Nagini\\," Voldemort called out to Nagini in parseltongue. A great big snake slithered out from behind the grave I was tied to and moved to her master. "Ahh, I missed you." Voldemort petted the snake's head. It hissed in delight to see him. Voldemort bent down and whispered something to her in Parseltongue. I watched as the snake turned around and slithered out of sight.

"What did you tell her?"

I demanded.

"You said to stay away from you. But you didn't specify anyone else to stay away." He said with a smirk. I glared at him. 'What is he playing at?' I felt something move across my stomach. I looked down and saw Nagini. My head snapped up and I stared daggers at Voldemort.

"What the hell is this?!"

I yelled at him. He laughed in return. It got harder to breathe as the snake kept tightening around my torso.

"Wormatil. Come here."

Wormtail scurried over to Voldemort. Voldemort grabbed his arm and pressed his wand against it. My vision blurred and the last thing I saw was multiple hooded figures appearing in the graveyard as I slipped into the world of unconsciousness.
