Chapter 3
Remus did not have a good sleep that night. It was constantly interrupted with thoughts about Sirius. OH, how much he hated how much of his brains now Sirius occupied.
Whatever, he’s just a fancy freak.
He turned over in his bed. The alarm clock read 3:42.
Fuck off. He growled as he check the time
God, can I please sleep.
It was 4:26 and God did not hear out Remus’s wishes, so he was forced to stay awake.
Maybe i could watch the sunrise? If I’m not getting any more sleep, I might as well.
So he got out of bed, ready to take on the world…ish… maybe after a proper amount of caffine. He walked down the stairs, as carefully as he could to not wake up any of his family. He stepped over some wooden planks left over from the night before, when him and his uncle were doing some repairs on the stairs. He caught a glance of his uncle snoring on the sofa and he couldn´t help but smile. There was nothing he could say more certain in his life then finding his uncle asleep on the sofa every Tuesday morning. He always falls asleep watching the new episode of whatever soup opera was running the night before. Ben would never admit it, however he was the one always convincing May to watch these stupid TV shows. And she always agreed, no matter how much she seemed to resist.
It's a part of why I love him. She always said. No matter how stupid the show actually is, he is always there. It's what we agreed in our vowels: through the good AND the bad... this is the bad part. Aunt May giggled as Ben playfully shouted at her something along the lines of "You are way too dramatic."
Sometimes Remus wondered if he will ever find someone who will love him as much as May love Ben. Whatever. Let's not think about it now. Stargazing time.
Calling whatever was Remus about to do stargazing was... generous to say the least. He just climbed onto the roof and sipped his coffee, and stopped paying attention to the stars and soon as he noticed how close to the full moon it was. He shook the thoughts as fast as he could. And started thinking about the project Minerva assigned him and Sirius.
What the actual fuck. Is he supposed to do? Figure out if catgirls or werewolfs can exists or make fuckin' centaurs? WHAT THE FUCK?! Why would she give such project to highschoolers?! I mean they are in their last year, but they are still just a bunch of 18 yearolds! How the fuck are they supposed to do experiments on that big of a scale? Who would approve that... like EVER?! His legs started to shake violently, yep this is the begging of what Peter would call a panic attack. Unfortunely, he wasn't rich enough to be allowed to have those so Remus called it a "wave of nervousness".
Okay. Breath.
Fuck I can't do that.
No. You have to do that, pussy.
Okay, enough of that, Remus. Go get ready for school, you can't do that on a rooftop, you will fall down and die.
Right and I don't wanna do that.
Right... die, not good.
Exactly.
Some might call him a freak, but having conversation with himself really helped him calm down. He just can't mention it to anyone, because if he does he ends up in a loonybin. Right, he was completely calm. Remus forgot about the sunrise he was meaning to watch. He needed a distraction, from everything. Who would have thought a first day in school would put him under this amount of stress.
Right.
He sat down behind his desk and brought out his type-writer. It was an antique after his father. Uncle gave it to him on his 15th birthday along with an old analog camera, that was also the day his passion for writing and photography was born. He joined the club working on school newspaper and he loved it with every bone of his body. Of course he loved science as well... it was something his parents did, he felt connected to them though that, in science is also were the money lies. If him and his aunt and uncle weren't struggling so much, he would become a writer for a news paper. No matter what his old english teacher thought about his handwriting, he did have a talent for writing... or at least he liked to think so.
But that is just a dream. He shook his head. Let me be a dreamer for a little while... Remus though as he started to type away.

"So I haven't gotten any sleep last night- so what Dora?! You and Pete give it to me EVERY TIME." He tried to avoid his friend the whole day, however they caught him right as he was exiting the room in which the school newspaper's club was located. He was there to give them the article he had written last night... more like this morning.
"You know...maybe if you would have gone to the neurologist I recommended to you last year, we wouldn't be in this situation for the 300th time!!"
"Dora is right you know... we have recommended some great doctors, why didn't you see go them?"
"I JUST DON'T DO DOCTOR'S OKAY!" Remus shouted at them. Because I don't have the money for you fancy doctors...
Peter sighed as he pinched the top of his nose bridge. "Why are you are being so stubborn Remus..."
"Look who the cat dragged in!" A familiar voice suddenly shouted behind them. "Remus! I tried to offer you a ride this morning but your aunt said you set off to school on your own. Me and James could have like- totally drive you here."
"Oh, hey!" Remus smiled shyly as he greeted his best friend and her boyfriend, who was standing right behind her. "I just wanted to get some fresh air... nothing to get the brains started like a morning walk!"
"Well, if you ever don't feel like walking...just let us know, we didn't really start on the best terms yesterday. You seemed a bit overwhelmed... I guess me and Sirius can come off as bit too much... especially when you meet us for the first time."
"No, it was totally fine."
"You sure? Because we could totally give introductions another try, we were thinking about getting some food after school. Would you like to join us?" James offered with a kind smile and an expression so soft he now understood why Lily had fallen for the boy.
"...I wouldn't want to be a bothe-" He didn't get to finish the sentence before his ribs got attacked by both Peter and Dora. "He would love to come." Peter agreed for him. "He is just a little shy."
"I know." Lily giggled. "Well, we will be looking forward to it. Mary and Marlene will be coming as well and hopefully Sirius will show up... Oh! And you two can totally come too! The more the merrier!"
"Thanks for the invite, but I can't I have piano lesson after school. But maybe next time." Dora smiled kindly back at Lily.
Lily turned to the right of Remus. "No problem at all! What about you Pete?"
"I'm not sure yet, I need to check my schedule... thanks for the invite though!" Peter grabbed Dora and Remus and started to drag them away from Lily and James. "You know..." he started to whisper. "I like Lily, but she is a scholarship student... and I can't be seen with those during my free time, my father would kill me."
Dora nodded in agreement. "Lily is super nice and thoughtful, but... you are right Peter... it would ruin our reputation..."
Oh yeah...Remus sometimes forgets that his friends are rich snobs. "Is it really that important? You both like her, and she is my friend... so why not come?"
"You don't get it.-" Dora shook her head. "Your parents don't work in politics. Public image is the most important thing."
"She is right..." Peter agreed "what if one day when I wanna candidate for a senitor and she turns out to be a criminal or something and there are going to be pictures all over the web with me and her! It won't matter how long ago it was! My carrieer would be ruined!"
Right, rich snobs, who don't know who he is (more like isn't). Remus doesn't have anything more to say to that.
