Leur Plan

Siriussy was restless. He was so close to finding his boyfriend and bringing him back to safety, but Edgy, backed by Lily, had insisted that they formulate a plan and get back-up before moving forward. In hindsight, it made perfect sense, but Siriussy couldn’t help how brash and bold this love made him. He’d agreed to their plan, but wanted to go against it every second of these past twenty-four hours.

He was in Professor Grubbyplank’s class, listening to his ramblings without actually absorbing anything. What did it matter anyways? It’s not like he’d be using any of this information if everything with the war went as he planned. And even if it didn’t, he’d be too dead to use it either. Plus, there was no competition, so the remainder of his lessons were really just roadblocks blocking his way into Jame’s arms. It was rather annoying.

But class would be over in five. Then he could hop on the next train to Alpha square as he’d done directly after school nearly every day for…weeks. It—it had been three weeks since Jame was kidnapped. He only had, what, hardly a week left of school? Time was passing Siriussy by so quickly, yet time couldn’t move slower when there was something to be done after his lessons. It’s like time itself was pitted against him, cackling with delight with every impatient tap of his fingers or nervous twitch of his eye. The sadist.

(A/N: So very quickly, more for my own reference than anything: Jame was kidnapped three weeks ago from Omega Chambers [i think??], kept in Cunter’s factory in Betapolis for two weeks and one day, and has now been in Alphaban for five days. Of course Siriussy doesn’t know that last bit, but I felt it was important to give you guys some sort of timeframe because my characters like to yap. Also Sigma Training has about five proper days of lessons (it’s currently Friday of week…maybe nine—I stopped keeping track) and then the Saturday after that is the Ceremony of Sigmas, where Snarp and Siriussy will be presented with their governmental positions. Yup, I think that’s it. It was annoying me that I felt like no one would know what day it is 💀)

“Alright, you two, you’re free to leave,” Professor Grubbyplank sighed, stacking some papers on his desk. “I can’t believe they’re still making me teach this class.”

Siriussy was immediately up from his chair, shoving his things into his bag with very little care. He was about three steps from the door when a nasally voice stopped him in his tracks.

“Zakk!” Siriussy shivered at the use of his old last name, not wanting to be associated with them. But of course Snarp knew it. “Where are you going in such a hurry?”

Siriussy rolled his eyes and turned around. Snarp’s hair really was too greasy. Siriussy wondered if he’d ever taken a shower. “Sick family member.”

“Oh, really? You see, I was under the impression that you hated your family.” Snarp grinned like the cat who got the cream, as if he’d “got” Siriussy. Yeah, right.

“Well that doesn’t stop me from wanting to see them die with my own two eyes, does it?” Siriussy raised his eyebrows, leaving Snarp open-mouthed. Clearly he’d won that argument, so he spun on his heel quickly and exited the room. Really, who had time for that greaseball? Not Siriussy. He had a boyfriend to save.

“How many men do you think he has?” Siriussy heard Edgylus ask, presumably to Lily.

He was only about ten minutes late to their Find Jame meeting, but they were incredibly punctual people, so it was no surprise when he found them already hard at work. What did surprise him, though, was the fact that Dorcas MooMoo, Pandora Rosepetal, Evan Rosepetal, and M. McKinnon were also there, in Edgylus’ sex dungeon, sitting in a circle of sorts, chatting freely about the mission.

“Hey everyone,” Siriussy greeted the Order members, now slightly nervous. He didn’t know that they’d be here today, let alone at all. He guessed it made sense, seeing as though they needed back-up, but…

Well they may not like Siriussy, per se, but they certainly loved Jame, so maybe that’s all they needed.

“How’s everything going?” He asked, suddenly filled with guilt for not having done much of…anything really. He was quite useless and this was all because he’d wanted to get his boyfriend back. Siriussy quickly resolved that he’d just start helping more.

Yeah.

It was never too late to be helpful.

“Well, we have a plan—which we can probably complete tomorrow, seeing as though none of us have any training on the weekends—but it does involve breaking into that factory—” Lily explained, apologetically, but Siriussy couldn’t see why.

“Are you kidding? That’ll be awesome.” He grinned. Not only would he be able to break into this factory like a total badass, but he could also save his boyfriend from a hostage situation! This mission was going to be legendary.

“Okay, well…” Lily looked uncertain, as if she was treading over unstable ground. “So, you can’t actually go in…” she trailed off.

“What do you mean? You just said we were going to have to.” Siriussy was confused. Did she not just say that they had to break into the factory? And of course that would include Siriussy…would it not? He was the reason they were doing all of this. And Jame was his boyfriend. So obviously he would be the one to save him—

“Well…we just agreed that you’d likely be a liability. You know, like if something…happened to Jame,” Dorcas tried, choosing her words slowly and carefully.

“But—what? Nothing—I could definitely handle myself! And besides, nothing—nothing’s happened to Jame,” Siriussy insisted. Obviously nothing—nothing too bad could have happened to Jame. And—and he could manage to finish a mission if—if something had. It’s not like he’d completely shut down—

“Siriussy, don’t lie,” Edgylus interjected. “I’ve lived with you. You can’t handle anything.”

“Exactly,” Dorcas agreed. “It’s—it’s for your own good, as well as ours. We don’t want anything to happen to you, Jame, or any of the rest of us if you can’t…manage.”

“And you can hang out with me!” Pandora exclaimed, far too brightly for Siriussy’s liking. He—he wouldn’t be the one to save his boyfriend.

He would be helping, of course, from the sidelines, but…he wouldn’t be the first to lay eyes on him, safe and sound. He’d have to wait even longer to see Jame again.

But—but that was okay. He could be patient. He—he could let Lily—who pretty much loathed Jame—and Edgylus—who had barely spoken with him—and M.—who barely even knew Jame, based on Siriussy’s observations—and Evan—which, okay, he was one of Jame’s oldest friends…so Siriussy guessed he’d be fine—and Dorcas…okay she was also fine. But, Siriussy’s point still stood in his mind. Jame—Jame wouldn’t feel as safe or comfortable being saved by nearly total strangers as he would be saved by Siriussy (well, that was speculation, but Siriussy knew it to [probably] be true).

“But—” Siriussy wanted to argue, but it seemed like fate had other plans for him because at that moment another person entered the sex dungeon through the trapdoor entrance behind Siriussy.

Edgylus’ eyes went wide. Siriussy immediately whipped around, expecting the worst—maybe Walburger had figured out where they were meeting?—but when he looked up, he was met with the sight of Remu. His hair was mussed, his shirt buttons uneven, and he had dark circles under his eyes, but he was here. In the flesh. And even though Edgy had neither confirmed nor denied his death, Siriussy still felt like he was seeing a ghost.

“R–Remu,” Edgylus stammered, rising to his feet. “I—”

“I’m not here for you. I’m here to help Jame,” Remu snapped, taking a seat next to Lily.

“Oh…uhm, okay…okay,” Edgylus murmured, nodding to himself as he sat back down. Siriussy still had no clue what had happened, but it broke his heart all the same, looking at his brother who appeared about two more harsh words away from bawling.

“So, tomorrow,” Dorcas began, taking charge of the awkward situation. “We’re going to split into two groups: the Runners—meaning the people who will actually be entering the factory and, if nothing goes wrong, saving Jame—and the Field Team—the people who will be our eyes and ears on the outside, looking out for AURORs, back-up, and watching the security cameras to guide us through the factory with minimal casualties.

“The Runners will be me, Evan, M., and Remu. The Field Team will be Lily, who will handle hacking the camera feed and any security measures, and Pandora and Siriussy, who will watch the cameras and warn us if anything is going wrong or if we’re getting too close to Cunter’s men. Prepare for many close-calls with these guards. They should be roaming the halls.” Dorcas took a deep breath, glancing around the circle. “Any questions?”

“What about…him,” Remu asked, practically spitting the last word as he pointed his chin at Edgylus.

“Edgylus cannot be seen during this mission, due to his compromised position in our city, so he’ll be staying back, monitoring AUROR radio frequencies.” (A/N: I’m having my Art Heist, Baby! moment with this one and it’s bloody fun. GO READ Art Heist, Baby! BY otrtbs IT’S SO FUCKING GOOD 😭)

“So, will all four of us be doing the same thing or are some of us diversions?” M. asked, her voice laced with boredom, as if she saved kidnapping victims every day. Which, honestly, didn’t seem like too much of a stretch to Siriussy. That bird was involved with some crazy criminals. (A/N: idk if i mentioned this earlier in the fic, but M. [marlene] is like…a crime lord, so…)

“I was thinking you and I could try and rescue Jame while Evan and Remu find Cunter and distract him.” Dorcas glanced at Evan and Remu, who looked pissed. “You see, they’ll think to go for the strong men while M. and I slip right past you all and save Jame! It’s a great plan.”

“Dorcas, you’re literally taller than me.” Evan glared at his friend. “Plus wouldn’t it be better to use Jame’s oldest friends as the diversion? Like…you and me? If they’ve kidnapped Jame, what’s to say that they don’t know everything about him and us?”

Dorcas bit her lip, thinking for a second before sighing. “You’re right. Okay, Remu and M. will be our rescue team, and…Evan and I will distract Cunter and his men.”

Dorcas looked awfully disappointed and Siriussy had to restrain himself from pointing out that “hey, at least you actually get to help.” But he wasn’t at all salty that he had to stay back and do surveillance. Not at all (A/N: 🤨). They’ll get Jame back either way and then they can kiss and be happy.

“Perfect!” Lily clapped her hands together, then shut her laptop rather aggressively. “Alright, well I’ve gotta bounce—”

“Where’ve you got to be so urgently?” Edgylus scoffed, stretching out his neck.

“Uhm Alpha stuff—” Lily tried, shoving her laptop into its bag and gathering her stuff into her arms.

“On a Friday night?” Dorcas cocked an eyebrow. “Are you sure about that?”

“Yeah, yeah, I–I joined a…fight club.” Lily was standing now, weight shifting nervously from foot to foot.

“Lily, what are you playing at?” Evan demanded, standing up as well, towering over the short girl, even though he was only five-eight himself.

Lily looked like she might throw up. Why was she so nervous? Siriussy couldn’t imagine why she’d be so—

“Lily, is there something you haven’t shared with us?” Siriussy questioned slowly, standing up next to Evan. They were blocking her into a corner, leaving her without the ability to run.

“N–no! ‘Course not!” Lily insisted, but Siriussy didn’t miss the brief panic behind her eyes and the stutter in her words. “I would never betray the Order!”

“Guys, I think she’s telling the truth,” Pandora said, appearing behind Evan and Siriussy. Everyone in the room—minus Lily, of course—stared at the blonde incredulously. “I mean, think about it. Even if she did give Riddle insider-information, that wouldn’t necessarily stop him from just killing her after he got everything he wanted out of her.

“Riddle isn’t one to stick to deals, you know.” Pandora shrugged. “I dunno though, believe whatever you’d like. I’m believing Lily.”

“She has done a shite ton of work for this mission,” Dorcas conceded. “Would a traitor really do all of that?”

Siriussy glanced at Evan, who looked like he was thinking the same things Siriussy was. Would Lily really do extra work to save an Order member—who was pretty high in the ranks, meaning that Riddle would likely prefer him dead—when she could just…not?

“Shit, I’m sorry, Lily.” Siriussy bit his lip. “I guess I’m just…on edge.”

“Great Sigmas, me too.” Evan shook his head.

“It’s fine, I understand.” Lily gave the two a brief smile and Siriussy couldn’t miss the way she seemed to breathe a sigh of relief. But Pandora’s point had made too much sense to be wrong, so he would believe her. For now.

Siriussy slipped out of the alley covering the secret trapdoor entrance of 21 Grimace Shake Lane about ten minutes after Lily, the second one to leave. He had a lot to think about, but he would have to get back to his dorm quickly, as dinner was approaching. That meeting had taken a lot longer than it’d seemed and he couldn’t exactly miss a meal, seeing as though he was one of two students at the Sigma Training Centre. It would look far too suspicious.

So, Siriussy took the first train out of Alpha Square that he could and sprinted from the Training Centre station once it had arrived.

Luckily, dinner was still ten minutes out, so Siriussy had time to stop by his room and piss. Damn, being a hydrated queen was just so difficult. (A/N: real. which is why i don’t drink water ! BUT YOU SHOULD !)

Siriussy glanced at the golden clock on his wall. It was time for him to go eat.

He was walking down the golden staircase, nearly slipping down it again, when he heard a nasally voice coming from Sigma Dumbledore’s office at the top of the stairs. Siriussy immediately about-faced and climbed up the stairs again, far too nosey for his own good.

“Yes, well I saw him go into an alley and then some boy followed him!” Snivellus whinged. Siriussy’s stomach dropped. He—what?

Had—had Snarp followed him to Alpha Square? Siriussy prayed Dumbledore wouldn’t buy this…and hopefully Snarp didn’t see anything else. Or else…

Sigma Dumbledore sighed heavily and, while Siriussy couldn’t see him, he could picture the exasperation on his face. “Siriussy was visiting a sick family member. This was likely a coincidence.”

Siriussy’s heart pounded less hard. His breathing steadied.

“B–but—”

“How long, would you say, did it take for this boy to follow Sigma Black?” The old man asked, bored. Siriussy might as well have wiped the sweat from his brow.

“Well—maybe twenty, thirty minutes…” Snarp mumbled.

“So you were…watching for half an hour?” Dumbledore sighed again. Siriussy suppressed a laugh. Ignoring the fact that this was terrible—Snarp could have learned about his association with the Order—and he hadn’t even noticed the fact that he was being followed—which could compromise this entire mission and even the Order’s war efforts, if he wasn’t more careful—this was a funny conversation. Snerverus sounded like a right twat.

“Well…” Snarp couldn’t come up with anything, clearly, and Dumbledore was definitely winning on behalf of Siriussy, so he decided to go down to dinner, quite hungry from the day’s activities. Plus, he had an early morning tomorrow. He was going to get his boyfriend back.

Oh wow, he was going to get Jame back.

He’d’ve better not screw this up for himself.
