More Goblet of fire
I know it’s been done before, but I like it when Harry’s able to speak to the dragons. In my version they speak a different dialect of parseltongue and it’s a bit difficult for Harry to understand them.
Anyway, he befriends the nesting Hungarian horntail and goes through the rest of the tournament as usual. When it’s all done though and he gets the chance, you can bet that Harry‘s going to Romania to visit his giant fire breathing friend. He‘ll get to meet her babies who will have hatched by this point and the mother will teach them how to not hurt her squishy human friend.
Throughout the story he will regularly visit the dragon reserve several times a year and gradually befriend more and more dragons.
-might not, might make the dragons have a magic unique to their species that they’ll teach Harry, giving him some new abilities that may include the equivalent of a fireball jutsu.
He’ll learn how to best treat dragons with respect from his large friends and how to recognize what their different body language means. This will help him further befriend more dragons including, but not limited to, the dragon beneath Gringotts.
Now more than ever, he’s freeing that poor dragon.
The goblins are, understandably, pissed the fuck off. But unfortunately, were they to react poorly to his property damage and theft, (take money from his vault to pay for it) it would cause outrage from wizard-kind due to the reasons behind Harry’s actions. Many Wizarding families might remove their money from Gringotts and deactivate their accounts. This would be a terrible to the goblin nation and so they have to just let it go.
Well, I mean, not completely. They may not want to risk taking what they’re owed, but they are fully within their rights to black list the potter family (meaning Harry) from all branches of the Gringotts bank, and refuse to do any further business with them. This will mean Harry is going to have to find some other place to store his family’s fortune.
Obviously, the ancient house of Potter being completely shunned by the goblins will cause gossip to run rampant and it will no doubt be put in the news papers. Thieves will want to take advantage of such a prime opportunity, what with an immense fortune like the Potters‘ being moved.
Magic is a handy thing though, and the wards of Grimmuald place will tear any interlopers apart.
Also-anytime a goblin catches sight of Harry Potter, they’re immediately issuing threats of death by beheading.
