An Offer
Nancy went into see Dee, but as she entered the room the enclosure was gone. The two Obscurials were still there, but Dee's enclosure was gone. Nancy left the small door and walked further into the world inside the briefcase. She walked by all the creatures. It was strange it was so peaceful, even the creatures that looked scary were peacefully wandering round. The Murtlaps were eating small pellets, and the Graphorns were asleep.
She walked on towards the lake. By the lake she stopped relieved as she saw Dee. He was stood with Newt, who was feeding the kelpie. Dee turned, and saw Nancy, he ran on all fours to her, wanting to get to her as fast as possible. A smile lit up her face showing love and relief at finding him, she threw her arms round him. Dee looked at her the petals that covered his mouth opened he looked at Nancy a very raspy sound emitted from Dee, he tried again. He looked at Newt who nodded "you can do it". Dee looked at Nancy, slowly the raspy sound formed the word "Nancy". Nancy opened her mouth in shock.
Tears fell as Nancy hugged Dee, she looked at Dee smiling "I love you too". Dee touched Nancy's heart then his own, he put his two hands together. Nancy nodded "always". Newt stood with a sheepish grin "I have a proposal. At some point Rolf and Luna are going to have to go back to there time". Nancy had realised this sometime ago, and the thought of loosing Dee hurt. Newt went on "you could come with us, we can come back to Hawkins". Nancy looked at Dee she was in love with him, how could she leave him. She wanted to shout about him from the roof tops.
She looked at Newt and took a deep breath before speaking "I want to introduce Dee to my parents, otherwise it'll feel like I'm running away, or that I'm ashamed of him". Newt looked from Nancy to Dee, he had to admit that although he and Nancy didn't see Dee as a monster anymore, Dee was a menacing and quite formidable sight. They stood holding hands Nancy looked at Dee realising something she didn't know anymore "where do we live now?"
Dee led her to a sort of wooded area. Nancy laughed as she saw that the trees had been modified to grow bacon. Rolf appeared "Newt has mentioned that you want to introduce Dee to your parents, have you mentioned anything about him to them?", Nancy shook her head "I know that they'll be shocked, but if they get to know him, do you think?" Dee held her hand. Rolf nodded uncertainly, he could see the love radiating off them "maybe take Luna with you, when you fetch them".
