Luna did a spell to let everyone take off their ear defenders. This wasn't one of the gates into the upside down they new. The gate it seemed was gone. Dustin was the first to speak "em guys not wishing to take away from this" he indicated Will "but where are we?". Eleven looked round and suddenly hardened "home" the way she said it had no fondness attached to it.
Luna looked round and projected her voice into El's head 'are we going to need help to get out of here. I'm assuming the alarms we can now hear are about us' they could now also hear feet running. Eleven nodded. Luna stood up taller "everyone ready for a fight, cos I think one's coming".
Men with guns entered the room all pointing at the small collection of people. A man with gray hair and a sharp gray suit stepped into the room and spoke "Eleven" his voice was very commanding, El stepped forward "papa" the way she spoke the word it was in the same unfeeling way she'd said the word home.
"Who are, these people you've brought" the way he'd said these people, there was an air of disdain. El looked at them all, and said one word "family" there was feeling behind the word. Joyce stepped forward a look of recognition on her face "your Dr Martin Brenner you run the Hawkins National Laboratory, you hurt my son" Jim Hopper stepped forward holding Will who was breathing. Joyce took Eleven's hand "you hurt my family". Jim held Will and looked at Dr Brenner "oh dear, your in trouble now mate, never get between Joyce and her family. One thing I'm dying to ask, what did those divers bring out of the lake". Dr Brenner cracked his neck and spoke "it was the equivalent of a stage dummy".
Eleven turned to Luna and nodded. Luna threw what looked like a yo yo, out of it came a huge winged creature, it's underside bright blue the top armer plated an ear piercing cry erupted from the huge reptilian bird. Next a creature bellowed, everyone aside from Luna looked worried as a huge animal stepped up. It had two menacing horns on it's head, and skin like an elephant, it's mouth seemed to be a mass of tentacles. It charged at the men and there guns, sending them flying.
Next the floor vibrated as a large small elephant sized creature walked through, it had a large horn in the centre of it's head, Luna grinned "I present the Erumpent, we call her penny" it walked after the other two creatures through the destroyed doorway, the tiled floor cracking as it walked. "what was that beautiful blue creature" Joyce asked. Everyone turned to Joyce who remarked "the under colour was stunning". Luna answered "it's called swooping evil, we call her Evelyn it's an unfortunate name, very misunderstood, the other creature was a Graphorn".
Suddenly Luna yelled "watch out, I didn't think Rolf would send them out, how exciting". Three heads covered in sharp menacing orange and black scales slivered through, three mouths opened showing sharp reptilian teeth. The others expected this to be three snakes, three very large snakes, but all three heads were attached to one body. Luna spoke in a strange language, all three heads bowed to Luna and set off after the others. Luna shrugged her shoulders "parseltongue, the language of snakes. Rolf taught it to me, he's a natural, I can't understand what the snake says back, Rolf can, it's called a Runespoors".
Outside was carnage. Luna spoke absent-mindedly "well if you bring a gun to a fight with a Graphorn, an Erumpent, swooping evil and the Runespoors, I don't fancy your chances" Luna said picking her way over the smashed tiled floor. They headed towards the screaming. Luna spoke "I did a spell before to confine the animals to the building. I don't think we need them running loose in town".
Outside Hawkins lab, workers ran for their lives with torn clothes. In the main entrance of Hawkins lab were the 4 magical creatures. The Erumpent seemed disorientated with a lab coat stuck on it's horn covering it's eyes. Joyce slowly walked up, she gently put her hand on the huge creature which seemed to calm a little "shhhh" she carefully removed the lab coat. Everyone looked amazed at Joyce, she looked at them and said "look I had to deal with Jonathan through the teenage years that was ruff, this is a pussycat, aren't you" Joyce scratched the huge animal behind it's ears, it turned over lying on it's back. Luna smiled "I think it's time to show you mine and Rolf's world".
