Figuring it out

Sirius and Remus exchanged tired glances as Ember's cries echoed through the room. They had thought they were ready for this, but caring for a newborn was proving to be tougher than they imagined.

"Let's try swaddling her again," Remus suggested, his voice worn out.

Nodding, Sirius gently wrapped Ember in a blanket, her amber eyes wide with curiosity as she looked up at him.

"She's got your eyes," Sirius said proudly.

"And your stubbornness," Remus added with a small smile.

Ember cried again, her tiny fists waving in the air. Sirius felt a pang of frustration. He was used to facing challenges, but this was a whole new level.

"We'll figure it out, Moony," Sirius said, giving Remus a reassuring kiss, "We always do".

With a happy sigh, Evanlynn closed her eyes and drifted off, leaving the chaos of her own home behind for a peaceful night with her uncle's.
