the day it all went down
it had been a completely normal Monday before the quidditch match had started, James sat at the Gryffindor table with Sirius, Remus and Peter, taking slight flirty jabs at Evans, who had ignored him completely, but every time James had taken a glance at the teachers table he saw Dumbledore staring straight at him, and whenever they made contact a searing pain took over his head. but James always brushed it aside as nothing, then the Marauders would go to there classes, then have lunch then the quidditch match started, it had been going well in the beginning, Gryffindor-10 Slytherin-7 all James would need to do is find the snitch and they would win, but, his head started hurting again, making him pause in the air on his broom pretending to be trying to find the snitch. James stayed in the same place as Slytherin scored 2 more points, it now being Gryffindor-14 Slytherin-8, why was James having trouble finding the snitch, James looked around, spotting Regulus flying around the pitch looking for the snitch, clearly taking a more tactical approach to finding the snitch, James looked around once again spotting dumbledore staring at him, before it clicked in this mind dumbledore was using Legilimency on him, which in his family was a GRAVE disrespect, it was a myth in his family, who ever use Legilimency on a Potter was trying to get into family secrets or something like that, James felt his world go dizzy, he heard the commenter for the game shout something, but James couldnt hear it, he looked more and spotted his friends in the gryffindor stands, there faces looking at him also with, was that concern? James didnt have more time to look before a searing pain took over his head again, making him wabble on his broom, his vision became blurry, then, with one more jolt of pain his vision went black and he fell off his broom with the screams of his friends in the background of his mind.
LOCATION:HOSPITAL WING
TIME:1:34 PM
James groaned as he awoke, the first person he sees being Sirius "Prongs? oh thank merlin your awake! Madam Pomphrey!" James heard Sirius say, before another figure came into view "Potter dear, you took quite a nasty fall, thankfully you have only a concussion, do you recall what happened to make you fall?" Madam Pomphrey said, James looked around, seeing the concerned faces of his friends, before he spoke "i dont know, one moment i was fine then it felt like someone was using Curcio on my mind, sorry Pads.... but it all went blurry then i looked and i think Dumbledore was trying to use Legilimency on me" James said, watching as his friends faces turn from concern to shock, as he had told them the previous year the myth of Legilimency in his family "Legilimency?! but James that would mean" Remus cut himself off looking away "that would mean Dumbledore was trying to disrespect you" Peter finished for Remus. "but why would he? he of all people know the myth in Prong's family" Sirius said, there conversation became drawn out, James couldnt pay attention anymore, his head was stinging again. but Dumbledore wasnt anywhere near, Remus had been the first person to notice James's sudden lack of attention "James? are you alright?" James heard Remus's concerned voice say as everyone quieted "yeah im fine i swear" James said, trying to sound convincing, but he knew he probably didnt. Sirius sighed "come on Prongs, you fell during quidditch, and Dumbledore is trynna read your mind! obviously you arent fine!" Sirius said, crossing his arms "okay okay im not fine, but, you guys remember that um, one night, before the full moon? well i had a dream of this exact thing happening!" James said, as everyone looked at him like he grew two heads, "thats not possible Potter" a new feminine voice called, and Lily Evans appeared in the doorway to the hospital room, her ginger hair gleaming in the light, "Evans!" James shouted at once, sitting up "fuck ow! bad idea" James groaned, a searing pain erupting on his left side, Lily stood infront of the bottom of his bed, arms crossed and a stern look on her face, "really Potter?, a dream about you falling off your broom?, sounds like something you blimey made up" Lily said, "how long have you even been here Evans?" Sirius said rolling his eyes "for 20 minutes" was wall Lily said before turning her attention back towards James "i just came to inform you all that Professor McGonagall has been yelling at Dumbledore for hours since the match, something about Legilimency?" Lily said raising an eyebrow, before righting herself and making her face stern again "anyways, everyones concerned, Potter how are you feeling?" Lily said as James spoke "as better as ever now that my lily flower is here" James said smirking as Lily rolled her eyes, before she left the hospital wing. and soon so did Sirius, Remus and Peter, rendering James now alone to face a night in the hospital wing.
