"I Don't Miss You, I Miss the Misery"
"Ugh, Dandy yelled at me because I was a minute late today. He's always yelling at me for wasting time and shit while he's the one wasting time by screaming at me for one whole minute." Connie groaned, putting her head in her hands. Vee rolled her eyes, she was tired of her girlfriend always whining about Dandy. These days it was Dandy this Dandy that. She just wished Connie would stop talking about Dandy. With the amount of times she talked about him, she thought she was in love with him. Of course, that was far from the truth. But Vee couldn't help but be worried.
Vee was blind though. Blind to why Connie always was talking about Dandy. It was practically a call for help. Too bad she always hid the bruises, maybe if she didn't Vee would notice. But even then, Vee should be able to tell that it hurt from Connie's tone, to be able to see the pain in her eyes.
Over time, Connie's "constant" complaining about Dandy sent her over the edge. It's not like Connie ONLY talked about Dandy. Hell, some would say Vee is overreacting. Maybe Vee was just losing feelings, but she started to find her partner quite... unbearable. Connie thought that the stage of Vee's disdain towards her was over, yet that feeling had returned. It started out small, small words like "stupid" or "idiot" or "foolish". Then, it became stronger words such as "worthless" or "bitch" or "retarded". Any cruel word Vee could think of would be thrown into argument.
Eventually, it got a bit more physical. Maybe not as physical as Dandy was, but still quite physical. Connie should've seen the signs of what was to come. Vee's temper becoming shorter, the way she clenched her fists, how her tail angrily swayed.
It was just a normal argument between the two. Vee usually being the one doing most of the yelling, whilst Connie silently cried. Connie went to cover her ears, making Vee completely lose it. She whipped her tail, the mic hitting Connie hard across the face. She looked at her, wide-eyed, her reaction being very similar to the reaction she had when Dandy hit her for the first time.

Ichor dripped down onto the floor, splashing into the small black puddle below. Tears slid down her cheeks. A smile spread across her face. She looked like an insane asylum patient in that moment, smiling while crying and bleeding. Maybe she was insane. Each slash of the blade reminded her of Vee. The pain that she inflicted upon her. She missed it. Not Vee herself, just her actions. When Dandy hurt her, she only felt sorrow. When Vee hurt her though, she felt a sick sort of bliss. It's almost as if she enjoyed it. The abuse felt a lot like the blade that drew lines into her skin. It stung at first, but in the end it felt sweet, and she would end up wanting more.
The first time she cut herself, Gigi had caught her, and told Rodger. She understood why, Gigi was worried about her friend's safety. But it still somewhat annoyed her. Then Rodger told Dandy, which absolutely terrified her, knowing the punishment she was bound to get. After that time, she decided to be a lot more secretive about her self harm. She only told Gigi, who promised she wouldn't tell anyone again. Gigi then found the gloves that Connie now uses to cover her arms. She was glad that Gigi was trying to help her hide it, even if it wasn't the best way to help her, it's better than Dandy finding out again.
Then eventually Astro found out. Astro knew something was up with Connie, so one day he went to her room to confront her. He saw her with the razor in her hands and ichor falling down her arms. He was worried out of his mind for her and she begged him to keep the secret. He understood what she was going through with the whole self harm thing though, and promised her that he wont tell anyone, but he will help her get out of it.
Connie thought it was quite hypocritical of him though. He thought that she needed help but he wouldn't help himself. He would tell her that whenever she cut herself, to come to his room so he could take care of it. But he never took care of himself the way he took care of her. She saw it. He would just cover it all up with that damned blanket of his. Not even a bandage. Or even a disinfectant.
Knock knock
She knocked on the door, holding her arms close to her chest, making sure she got not ichor on her shirt. Astro opened the door, staring at her, knowing exactly why she was here.
Connie gulped, "h-hey brother... I err, h-hurt myself again." She wanted to go back to her room and break down. She didn't want to be here. But it's too late to turn back now. God, why is she so stupid. Well... Dandy did always call you a retarded waste of space... the voices started to taunt her.
Astro looked at her and sighed, "come in." He said with his tired monotone voice. While he seemed uncaring on the outside, but he felt extremely worried for her. He knew she was clean for a few months so what made her revert back to her old habits? If he wasn't so tired, he would've been panicking. He always panicked more when it came to his sister being hurt compared to others. While too many the two siblings seem to dislike each other, they actually were quite close. "You seriously need to tell me what happened. I wont let you leave until you tell me. So why, why are you hurting yourself again?"
Connie look down and sighed. She was not getting out of it this time. "Well... I do it because it reminds me of how Vee treated me... I miss the suffering that she put me through and I don't know... cutting myself kind of feels like it. Of course, there are other reasons I've hurt myself but... that's the reason I did it this time."
Once he was done cleaning her wrists, Astro opened up his blanket, opening his arms wide, giving her a hug. That was rare for her brother to hug her, hell it was rare for him to hug anyone. She quickly went into his arms, sobbing into his shoulder. He rubbed her back, humming a soothing melody to her, allowing her to fall asleep. He decided to let her sleep in his bed today instead of taking her back to her own room. He sat on the bed, resting her head against the pillow, while he read some books until he eventually got tired and decided to go to bed and sleep.
