Quidditch And A Break In. Again.
January slowly faded into February. The cold had not decreased not one bit, the castle constantly covered in ice or snow. The match against Ravenclaw was drawing closer, and Harrison hadn't heard back yet about his broom, but he wasn't too fussed. He'd rather have checked the safety of the broom than hopped on it and fallen to his death.
The trio continued with their lessons, using the time turner, studying, doing their own self studies. They decided early on to revisit Necromancy later on. All books on it were in the Forbidden Library, and none of them wanted to sneak in.
Their usual spot in the library increasingly became theirs. Hermione bought a few things for the space during Hogsmeade visits when they had realised no-one else even knew about the hidden away alcove they studied in. A plant. Then another. A little figurine that looked like Buckbeak, who the trio bonded with during a visit to Hagrid after lessons.
One day, they even turned up to find that Pince had installed curtains on both the window inside the alcove and the entrance, giving them more privacy. In return, Harrison gave her a drawing of her putting books away in the library, Ron gave her chocolate, and Hermione gave her a plant.
Heir lessons with Neville also continued pretty well. They'd covered all the basics so far, and were now going into the actual Lord part. Laws, inheritance, importance, subtlety, alliances, everything. Susan Bones also joined in occasionally, putting in her own input. Her aunt was the Head of the Department of Magical Law Enforcement, and so she knew quite a lot about the works in the ministry and where which families supported what. Outside of Heir lessons, he got close with the two, paring up with them usually in Herbology.
The trio also continued the process of becoming animagi. The last two steps were the spell until a thunderstorm, and meditation during.
Patronus lessons were also improving. Harrison was finding it easier and easier to create a shield, finding it easier and easier to prevent the memory from resurfacing.
It was actually the aftermath of a lesson, Harrison and Remus were sat in his office, drinking hot chocolate, when the teen was struck with two realisations.
One, he could ask Remus for a pass into the restricted section.
Two, he didn't know when his bloody birthday was.
"When's your birthday?" He asked, sipping the hot chocolate, having decided to start with the second option.
Harrison knew everyone he cared about birthdays. Ron's is the 1st of March. Hermione's is the 19th of September. Neville's is the 30th of July, the day before his. Hagrid's is the 6th of December, and it took bloody ages for him to find that one out. Fred and George's is the 1st of April. Luna, a friend of Ginny's who quickly became friends with both he and Hermione, is the 13th of February, and Ginny's is the 11th of August. The list went on, Lavender, Dean, Seamus, Padma, Parvati, Molly, Arthur.
He didn't know his parents'. He didn't know Remus'.
Remus, looked a bit shocked at the random question at first, but then let a soft smile spread on his face, "It's the 10th of March, Harry. What's with the question?"
He drank his hot chocolate, as he waited for Harrisons reply.
"Well, I know everyone's birthday. Ron, Hermione, Neville, even McGonagall now that I think about it. But, not yours."
Remus hummed, and the conversation changed, and changed again, and once more before Harrison could ask for a pass for the Forbidden Library. Remus looked confused, but he told the man it was for research on the Hogwarts founders. Not a complete lie. He did want to research into them eventually, being the Ravenclaw heir and all, but not now.
Remus agreed, and as if knowing his true intentions, told him he could come back to get it renewed anytime.
"So, what do you think is under a dementor's hood?"
===================
When Harrison returned to the Gryffindor common room, Hermione and Ron were sat with Lavender, Parvati, Dean, Neville and Seamus. Hermione was in a deep discussion with Neville, Lavender and Parvati, while Ron and Seamus were having yet another round of Chess, with Dean as moral support for Seamus. Poor guy thinks he will win against Ron at least once.
He only just sat down after saying hello, when McGonagall walked in, holding the firebolt in her hands.
"Here you go, Mr Potter. We've done everything we could think of, and nothing seems to be wrong with it. You must have a very good friend somewhere."
She left it against the chair he was sat in, before swiftly turning and walking out.
"I suppose I don't need to borrow a school broom after all."
==============
The next day, Ron and Harrison were walking back to Gryffindor Tower. They'd been walking around with Stephen Cornfoot, Hannah Abbot and Susan Bones, talking about things he doesn't exactly remember, but he knew he laughed a lot.
There, they saw Neville, practically pleading Sir Cadogan, who was refusing him entrance.
"I wrote the bloody passwords down, I must've dropped them somewhere!" The boy sounded fustrated.
"A likely tale!" Cadogan roared, just before spotting Harrison and Ron, "Ah Good evening, fine young yeomen! Come clap this loon in irons!"
"Oh shut up," Ron said, rolling his eyes.
Harrison said the password, Cadogan looking rather disappointed that he actually knew, and the portrait hole swung open.
That night, Scabbers made an appearance for the first time in 2 weeks, but disappeared once more when Crookshanks tried eating him.
==============
"I'm bloody starving," Ron groaned, the trio walking towards the library. Lessons just ended, and so dinner wouldn't be for ages. The Ravenclaw vs Gryffindor was just the weekend before. Honestly, Harrison thought it was a bit weird playing against the house he was the heir too. But, Gryffindor won, and celebrated.
"You reckon we could find the kitchens on the map?" Harrison wondered out loud. The twins brought food for celebrations/parties in the Gryffindor common room all the time, so it wouldn't surprise him if it was on there.
"Oh yes, the map!" Hermione exclaimed as they walked into the library, "Gosh, I'd completely forgotten about it!"
They walked over to their table, sitting and drawing the curtain. Once it was completely drawn, Harrison took the map out his bag. Not that he didn't trust his dormmates or anything, but he'd preferred the map to be with him, even if he hadn't used it yet.
"One way to find out I suppose."
It took a while, being distracted by a few times at discoveries. Ghosts, teachers, students in broom cupboards, but eventually, they found the words 'Kitchens' not too far off from the Hufflepuff common rooms. It took a longer amount of time before they even got into the kitchens.
And, just to top off the day, Sirius Black broke into the boys dorms, almost tried attacking Ron, and escaped yet again.
During loud conversation in the common room, arguments, commands, everything, Ron turned to Harrison and whispered, "Your Godfather might just be mad."
"Yeah, I bet 12 years of Azkaban does that to a person."
"Imagine what 13 years would of done."
