Gringotts.
Merlin this is going to take a while isn't it?
==================================
It did. It took an hour and a half. In that time, they went over his inheritance, the compulsions, removing the compulsions, some information about his magic, and he was given a pouch only he could open to access his vaults to take out money. He asked, and only particularly wealthy wizards get those.
"So, Heir Potter, with your inheritance comes quite a lot." Odberg started, "You, as Heir, don't particular do too much. Your only role is to secure ally's between other Houses, like the Bones House for example. You do however, take everything when becoming a Lord."
Nagnock continued, "You get all properties and vaults handed to you. Contracts and marriages must be ran through the Lord, as they are the Head of the House. We will go over those when you become Lord, so need not worry now." He flashed a menacing grin. Harry nodded along, processing it all.
"Now, if the go back to the test," Ragnok started, "You are under a few blocks and compulsions. We can remove those now. Do I have permission to scan you to see what I am working with?" Harry nodded and Ragnok waved his hand in various complicated movements. When he finished, he nodded once and frowned slightly. It looked less terrifying than a smile, at least. "Well, the good news is that the trust and influence will be easy to remove, they have been on you for only 2 years," Only 2 years?!, "but the block is far more complex. It is a Black Magic block, it would of taken several hours to put on you, and has been on you far longer. It may be painful to remove."
He breathed out, shutting his eyes and shaking his head, "That's... that's fine."
"We will do those before you leave then." Ragnok said with a nod, "You have a very powerful Magic Core, Heir Potter."
"I'm sorry, but what is a Magic Core exactly?"
"Magic Cores," Odberg spoke this time, "Are where all magical beings magic comes from. It is the root of our magics. They are typically Grey, Dark or Light, however there are rumours of coloured cores, neither have been confirmed or denied throughout history, simply speculated."
"You will need to schedule a meeting with us so we can go over your status as Lord Ravenclaw-Black, that is if you would like to take the Titles now or later when you can claim them all?"
Harry sat there, chewing his bottom lip as he thought. He knew little to nothing about the current Wizengamot or what it is to truly be a Lord. He will have to learn how to first, and then claim the Lordships at a later date. He can be the Heir to all houses now and claim them, excluding Longbottom, next year potentially? That sounded good. "I think ill claim the Heirships to all houses now, and Lordships at a later date, if that is okay with you?" He asked.
Odberg nodded, and Nagnock stood, walking over to a cabinet and taking out a box. He placed it in front of Harry before sititng back down, "In there are all of your Heir rings." Odberg waved a hand and the top of the box came off, and he almost gasped at the rings.
There were 5 rings, all unique, yet all complimentary to eachother.
The Longbottom ring was the simplest, a silver band with the crest.
The Potter ring also had the crest, however was bedazzled with all sorts of gemstones.
The Peverell ring had the crest too, and it was the simplest crest of them all. A triangle with a line and circle within it.
The Ravenclaw ring was, again, silver and had sapphires instead of a crest.
The Black ring was in fact, black. An obsidian band, with an intricate 'B' on.
"If you would put them on. They will magically fit whatever fingers you put them on," Odberg supplied. Harry picked up each ring one by one and placed them on his hands. Ravenclaw went on his right index, Potter on his left index. Black went on his right middle, Longbottom on his left pinky and Peverell went on his right pinky. As described, they all magically sized down and fit each finger perfectly.
"Cool" he breathed out. But then he paused, remembering something, "Wait. Ragnok said I had been 'ignoring' letters. I never received any. What's up with that?"
Nagnock was the one to answer, "We have been sending letters to you, or more specifically, your Magical Guardian. It would of been Sirius Black or Alice Longbottom, but due to the circumstances, they were unable to perform as Guardian, so it would of gone to the Headmaster, as he would of been responsible for you learning about both the letters and your status in society. However, as we have discovered, there is clearly a reason for him to not have informed you all these years."
Harry was angry, and confused. He could tell the Goblins were also angry by the looks of them. That anger quickly turned into panic, "Wait, wont he notice my rings-?" He had quickly looked down but as he did, the rings disappeared. He could still feel that they were there, just not visible.
"Enchantments are placed on all rings for Heir protection." Odberg stated.
Harry nodded, "Thank Merlin" he muttered.
"Now," Ragnok stood up, clasping his hands, "We can go ahead to remove the compulsions and blocks, and then, I believe, you were here to take out some galleons?"
==================================
The process of removing the compulsions wasn't that bad. It felt uncomfortable of course, but he felt more relief after. The block was excruciating. It felt like hours and no time at all when it was being removed. It felt like someone had pierced an organ and forcibly tried to rip it out. He was no ashamed to admit he screamed. It hurt like a bitch.
Harry left Gringotts with a promise of his previous key (which was in the hands of Dumbledore) to be taken and melted when next seen by the Goblins, a new key with a promise of a brutal death if he were to lose it, a brand new pouch with gave him direct access to his vaults if he ever needed more galleons (with enchantments so only he could open it), a fuck-ton lot of knowledge he needs to process, compulsion and block free, and a new research project.
He still couldn't believe he was an Heir now. How crazy is that?! Well, this is usually how his life is. Crazy thing after crazy thing. He really shouldn't be this shocked after 3 years.
Harry took advantage of the fact he still hadn't been recognised in and head into Flourish and Blotts. He still had about 45 minutes before someone would realise he wasn't inside of The Leaky Cauldron, and decided he would make the most of it. He made a beeline for the back. He's pretty sure he had heard Hermione say there was something about the Wizengamot back there. He was right, there were tons all about the responsibilities of Lords, seat owners, politics, beliefs, families, all of what he needed was there. He even picked up a book about Family Magics and Cores. They interested him.
After purchasing many, 8, he realised he had 20 minutes left. Before heading back, he went back to the shop that started this. He still wanted that wand holster after all. He head back to that shop, buying a black with silver detailing holster. It was said to be invisible to everyone but the holder, to be summon-proof, and promised to be edurant during a fight.
He made it back to The Leaky Cauldron, sneaking in with a large group, and made it into his room without anyone spotting him somehow. Small miracles. He had just put all his bags under his bed when he heard Tom knock outside, asking when he would be down for dinner.
He grinned. He hadn't been caught.
