Chapter 3: Gringotts Goblins and Radical Revelations
“Hello Professor Flitwick.” Harry says as he enters the room.
“Hello Mister Potter.” answers Professor Flitwick.
“Forgive me if this is a rude question,” starts Harry. “I would like to know why you know enough about Goblin Culture to teach me?”
“No, the question is not rude,” responds Professor Flitwick. “Nor is it unexpected. To answer your question. The reason I know enough of the Goblin Culture to feel comfortable enough to teach you is because I am a half goblin.”
“That's why you are so short.” exclaims Harry. After he realizes that he said that out loud he sheepishly says “I am sorry professor.”
“It's perfectly fine,” replies Professor Flitwick kindly. “Now let's begin your lesson on the best way to interact with a goblin.”
So over the course of the next 30 minutes Professor Flitwick tries his best to impress upon the most important lessons of Goblin Culture. Some of the topics in the lessons were the greeting to use, the way you say goodbye to a goblin, the art of negotiation and other intricacies that wizards don’t often understand about goblins. Harry, as he often is in charms, is enamored by the way that Professor Flitwick teaches. Since Harry wants to make the best impression upon the beings that help with his money is taking many mental notes. Harry wants to interact with the Goblins and give the best positive first impression possible in the situation.
With 10 minutes till 10 Professor ends the lesson with this final note, “That is the most important part of interacting with the goblins. You must not smile with your teeth unless you want to do something very vicious!”
“Thank you Professor! Do you have any book recommendations for me to read about Goblin Culture?” asks Harry as he gets to walk with Professor Flitwick to Professor McGonagall’s office.
“Yes.” responds Professor Flitwick. “I will have a list ready when you get back.”
Harry nods his thanks to the diminutive professor as they part ways at the doorway. Harry enters Professor McGonagall’s classroom to go to her office. He knocks and opens the door to see if she is in there. She was not. In order to make things easier he goes back in the classroom to sit at a desk.
A few minutes pass as Harry waits for Professor McGonagall to return from her meeting with the Headmaster. As he waits for his head of house he reviews what he learned from Professor Flitwick.
“Are you ready to go, Mr. Potter?” asks Professor McGonagall startling Harry out his thoughts.
“Oh, uh yes!” Harry said as he stood up.
“We will be taking the floo to the Leaky Cauldron, so I will put a slight glamor on you before we go into the public.” Harry nods. Professor McGonagall puts the glamor on him and Harry feels her magic surround him. He is standing a little taller. Instead of him being 5’3 he now stands at 5’6. His hair is slightly longer and a little redder instead of his black hair. Where his scar was is now unblemished skin.
“Thanks professor!” says Harry in shock.
“You're welcome.” replies Professor McGonagall. “Now have you ever used the floo before?”
“Yes but instead of going to Diagon Alley I went to Knockturn Alley,” Harry responded sheepishly.
“Ah well then Mr. Potter I need you to enunciate the words. Now follow my example.” As Professor McGonagall says this she grabs a pinch of Floo powder. “Grab a pinch of floo powder,” she observes him grabbing some. “Not too much powder, good that's perfect. Then you throw it into the fire, say your destination and exit through the correct fireplace. Like so.” After Professor McGonagall finishes saying that she does exactly that. She throws the floo powder into the fire, shouts “Diagon Alley” and disappears in a deflagration of flames.
Harry looks at that and says “Easy” with the confidence of an older man. He followed the steps exactly. Through the floo powder in the fire, shouts “Diagon Alley” and gets engulfed in flames. He is going through the floo network, sees his exit and exits. Next thing he knows is his face meets the floor and he hears a light chuckle come from above him.
“We are going to have to work on that young man.” Says professor McGonagall.
“Yes Professor,” Harry says as he gets up. “I completely agree. This will not happen even if I wasn’t about to become a Lord. Hitting my face on the ground every time I come out of the floo would be horrible.”
Harry gets up and dusts himself off. Then he feels some magic wash over him, looks up and sees Professor Mcgonagall pointing a wand at him. She smirks and says, “Magic.” before walking off. Harry shakes his head while chuckling and follows.
“Professor, just so that you are aware, Professor Flitwick gave me a brief introduction to Goblin Culture and told me it is best to represent my true self without any magic to cover me.” says Harry as he gets in step with her.
Professor Mcgonagall looks down at him with an approving expression on her face. “ I must agree with that statement and praise you for going to Professor Flitwick for advice on goblins.”
“I can’t take all the credit professor,” Harry says as they approach Gringotts Wizarding Bank. “Professor Flitwick approached me and asked what my experience with goblins was. So I saw no reason to lie. I told him the only interaction that I had with a goblin was when Griphook took me to my trust vault in my first year. So Professor Flitwick pretty much ordered me to get dressed in my best clothes, which happen to be the dress robes from the school list, and get to the transfiguration classroom next to your office. Then he spent at least 30 minutes explaining to me some of the basics of interacting with goblins.”
Professor McGonagall nods in approval. As they enter Gringotts Wizarding bank Professor McGonagall discreetly removes her glamor over Harry. When they approached the goblin teller Harry spoke first.
“May your enemies tremble when they hear your name Master Teller,” Harry starts. The goblin teller raises his eyebrow. “We are here to see IronClaw the Potter Account Manager.”
The goblin teller looks him over and gives him a scrutinizing look. Harry stands up a little straighter and looks right back at him. After another beat of silence the goblin says, “Follow me.” They walked down towards IronClaw’s office. As they followed the goblin teller in silence Harry was looking around the halls of Gringotts. After about 10 minutes he recognized a Nundu head that they saw for the 3rd time. “Master teller, are you lost?” asked Harry.
“Harry!” exclaims Professor McGonagall.
“No I am not Mister Potter,” smirks the goblin. “You must possess some interesting amount of power to be able to recognize what you have.”
After that they head straight to IronClaw’s office. The goblin knocks on the door and they hear a “Come in.”
As they go into the office Harry says “May your coffers overflow with gold Master Teller.”
“As do yours,” replies the goblin.

“May your blade be covered in the blood of your enemies Master IronClaw.” says Harry.
“May your blade be covered in the blood of your enemies Lord Potter.” replies IronClaw.
“I received your letter this morning and decided that today was my earliest convenience because I thought it was best to come here especially since I was confused by it.” starts Harry without much prompting.
“In what way were you confused, Lord Potter?” asked IronClaw.
“About you calling me a Lord.” Harry said.
“Ahh, I see.” syas IronClaw pulling out a piece of paper and an ornate Goblin made dagger. “This is an inheritance test. I need you to let 7 drops of blood onto the sheet. With those 7 drops of blood it will show your lineage.”
“Ok,” responds Harry. He takes the ornate dagger and pricks his pointer finger. Let 7 drops of blood hit. And he covers his finger. Casts a scourgify of the goblin blade and endlessly heals his hand with an episkey.
IronClaw sees that and raises his brow. Professor McGonagall gave him a look of begrudging approval. As he cleans the dagger and his hands as words slowly appear on the piece of paper.

“What the Fuck!?!?” says Harry… well Hadrian now. In his anger Hadrian’s magic exploded out of his body and slammed into the wall and damaged the weapons on the wall.
“Harry, I mean Hadrian, could you please rein your magic in please? You are damaging the office.” Professor McGonagall stammers out as she is being crushed by her students' powerful magic.
“Lord Peverell please rein in your magic! We can solve this once we are calm.” states IronClaw, slightly grimacing at the sheer power the young man in front of him is displaying, at the same time as Professor McGonagall.
Hadrian notices that they are both slowly crumpling under his magical power. He took a few deep breaths and pulled his magic in. “It says I have other blocks, potions and spells on me. How can we check that?” Hadrian says in a slightly trembling voice.
“Take the blade and put 3 drops of blood on this piece of paper.” IronClaw states as he pulls out another paper and gives him the dagger again.
Hadrian does as he is instructed and as he is healing himself and cleaning the blade. He sees more words appear.

"Fine, but you better give me a good explanation young man!" says Professor McGonagall. Hadrian nods his acknowledgement
IronClaw saw the horcrux on the paper and swore in gobbledygook. Got out of his desk and opens his officer door and yells out a few commands, waits for a response and sits right back down on his desk.
“What the hell is a horcrux and why the hell did Voldemort make one?” Hadrian exclaims.
“A horcrux is the most vile piece of soul magic in the entire wizarding community. We goblins have thought that you humans didn’t remember them. It turns out we are wrong.” replies IronClaw in feigning calm.
“How the hell do I get this out of me!?” screams Hadrian.
“We goblins will help you get this vile magic out of you for free. You as Lord Peverell are a Goblin Friend. There hasn’t been one of those in quite a while.” IronClaw says simply as a knock is heard and the door opens to a goblin that has an intense stare on their face. IronClaw simply hands them both sets of papers. The new goblins' eyes just widen as they read each bit of information. They looked up at IronClaw and all he did was nod.
“Hello Lord Peverell, I am Maeve, a goblin healer. You seem to be under a number of potions and clocks that have impaired your magical ability and personality. I will help you fix that.” She states firmly. Hadrian nods numbly. “Follow me.”
