james sirius is exactly just like his namesakes

September 17, 2005

It was common knowledge that James Sirius Malfoy-Potter took after his namesakes, in every possible way. He had James Potter's face and both James Potter and Sirius Black’s knack for getting themselves in trouble. His siblings had long learned to roll with the chaos he ensues. James was a force who could not be stopped, except maybe for one stern gaze from a certain blond in the family.

It comes to no one's surprise when one supposedly peaceful afternoon in the Room of Requirements was not so peaceful after all. Jean looks at his brother who had been too quiet for the past 3 days since they came back from their visit at Grimmauld Place, he was scared. Everyone was. James and quiet do not exactly belong in the same sentence. Clearly, he was planning something big and Jean feared for the boy's victim. The older boy gulps as soon as he sees the boy's face change from focus into a look of triumph, whatever James Sirius Malfoy-Potter had been trying to do for the past 3 days had finally been finished.

“Yes!” James exclaims triumphantly, getting up from the couch, standing victoriously. He peeked inside the tiny magical box as it opened, not realizing the crowd of children starting to form near him.

“What is that?” Scorpius, his twin says startling him. James flinches which causes the contents of the box to spill, hitting the kids around him. A string of voices starts yelling at him as they feel the rough texture against their face and tries to shrug the bits that got on their uniforms.

“Um guys, was that there before?” Rose points to the ball of light above them as she looks at the other kids in horror. Jean slowly shakes his head staring at the anomaly, the sand in James box was magical and it had reacted with the magic inside the room. The light suddenly grew brighter and brighter before they felt themselves getting sucked in.

“James, I swear to Merlin. I will murder you if we make it out alive” Rose says as she gets sucked into the light.

Hermione was determined this year. She was determined in getting better grades, getting the two boys to study more and have a relatively peaceful school year, outside of the war looming upon them. When she saw Harry Potter, her best friend walking to them with a bloody nose she let out a breath and smiled. She will have a less stressful year, this is fine. Harry always gets injuries, this is normal, yes, completely normal. She eats her meal as Ron talks to Harry.

“Mate, you need to stop disappearing and stalking Malfoy. If I didn’t know any better, I’d think you fancied the dude with how much you talk about him and stalk him.” Ron sighs, lightly shoving a plate of food to Harry.

Harry moved the cloth he was holding out of his nose to talk and looked in the direction of the Slytherin playing with his food.  “Look, he's up to something. I just know it.”

Ron looks at Hermione with a look that asks for her help, the witch sighs taking a sip of her juice. “Listen, Harry. Malfoy is not as evil as you may think, he is just a kid. You don’t have to keep him in check because you think- Harry, I know you’re upset but keep your magic in control” Hermione frowns.

“This isn’t me. I wasn’t doing anything. This is not-” Before Harry Potter could even finish his sentence, the tables in the Great Halls shook with so much force the juice inside the chalices started to spill on the tablecloths. Before the students could hide under the tables as they were instructed to do in times like this, the shaking stopped but the light that now illuminated the Great Hall only shone brighter. Everyone gasps at the sight, and before anyone could utter a word they hear a scream from the light.

The scream sounded familiar, yet foreign to Harry. As the scream started becoming louder they saw a body falling from the light. McGonagall quickly sends a cushioning charm to soften the landing. The boy groans as his body falls face flat on the cushioned concrete of the Great Hall. “I’m so gonna strangle James when I see him” he says as he gets up from his position. He stops as he realizes the eyes of curiosity on him, he scans the area and stops as a familiar grey irises that mirrors his very own meets his.

“Shit” he mumbles.
“Who are you?” A ravenclaw boy near him asks, wand in his hand ready to attack. Before he could answer, the screams of his siblings could be heard. He quickly transfigured the benches to a mattress to soften his siblings and Weasley kids' fall.

“Get off me, you oaf!”

You , get off me! You’re as heavy as an elephant” Jean merely rolls his eyes at the twins fighting in front of him and clears his throat to make his presence known. The kids all looked at Jean, who pointed his head to the Great Hall observing them with curious and wary eyes.

“Great! James got us stuck in the past!” Rose groans, throwing her hands up in the sky. The students of Hogwarts gasped hearing the statement that left the girl's mouth. Hermione looks at the all too familiar face of the girl who spoke and sighed in defeat. She was not gonna have a relatively peaceful time.
