THE GOLDEN ERA

[1991]

• The boys visit Diagon Alley with Hagrid. They meet Draco and Diana Malfoy at Madam Malkins’. The meeting goes a little better than in canon, but Draco is still a little bit of a shit. Lee thinks Diana is pretty, and isn’t able to say much to her. Hari also thinks Draco is pretty, but is annoyed by it. They get their wands and supplies. Hagrid buys Hedwig for Hari. Hari promises that Hedwig belongs to both him and Lee.
• Quirell fails to steal the Philosopher’s Stone. He is possessed as a punishment. 
•  Percy Weasley is Made Prefect. 

[First Year, Fall Term]

• September: The Evanses depart for the train station. There, they meet the Weasley’s. Molly Weasley is a bit rude to Petunia— She doesn’t know Petunia, she only knows of her from vague complaints Lily made about their deteriorating relationship during the war. 
• On the Train, Lee and Hari become friends with Ron Weasley. They get into an argument with Draco Malfoy. None of them know who Harry Potter is, just that he’s supposedly on the train. They also meet Hermione Granger, Neville Longbottom and Pansy Parkinson, who are all looking for Neville’s toad. After those interactions, Hari ends up confessing to Ron that he’s Harry Potter, asking why so many people are looking for him. Ron is shocked, and tells them the story. He promises he’ll keep it a secret. 
• After arriving at Hogwarts, they take the boats across the lake and prepare for their sorting. The sorting goes the same way as cannon, though Lee Evans is sorted into Slytherin. Hari is upset about this. 
• Through the feast, there’s a lot of chatter about why Harry Potter hasn’t made an appearance. Hari is very embarrassed by the speculation. 
• Hari isn’t able to meet up with Lee until the next day at breakfast. He’s a bit upset that Lee is in Slytherin. Privately, he wonders what it says about Lee that he’s been put in the same house as jerks like Malfoy. 
• Classes begin. Hari and Ron get lost, and end up out of bounds. Filch is mad about this. 
• Pansy, Lee, Millicent Bulstrode and Blaise Zabinni are targeted by some members of Slytherin, Primarily Daphne Greengrass, Vincent Crabbe, Gregory Goyle, and some older Slytherins for their heritages. (Blaise is Black, Pansy is Asian, Millie is a “half-blood”, and Lee is a “Mudblood.”) Theodore Notte befriends them because he’s a contrarian. Draco is mean to them, but only when Diana or her friends aren’t around. (He’s a jerk here, but he’ll learn.)
• Hari and Ron visit Hagrid. Hari becomes more upset about Lee being sorted into Slytherin when Hagrid says “There isn’t a Witch or Wizard that went bad that wasn’t in Slytherin.” Hari also learns about the Gringotts Break-in. 
• At their first potions class, Hari interacts with Snape for the first time. Snape is a bit rude to Hari, but doesn’t rag on him, especially because Hari isn’t known as Harry Potter yet. Hari recognizes Snape, but doesn’t know why. Hari brushes Lee off. Lee is hurt by this.
• The first years go to their first flying lessons. Pansy starts ignoring Neville because the Slytherins bothering her went after him during the lesson. She blames herself for this. Hari gets to join the Quidditch team like in Canon. 
• That night, at Dinner, Draco challenges Hari to a Wizard Duel. Ron agrees to go with him as his second. Neville and Hermione tag along. Lee sneaks out to warn them that it’s a trap. 
• After Lee warns them, the Gryffindors escape to the forbidden corridor. Lee gets caught by Filch, and is given detention. The Gryffindors meet Fluffy. 
• Neville breaks his wrist during flying lessons. When the Gryffindor’s go to visit him in the Hospital, he thinks it may be Pansy coming to see him. He’s disappointed, but thankful his roommates came to see him. Hari learns about the Pansy situation, and is angry on Neville’s behalf. 
• Hari starts Quidditch and gets his broom. 
• On Halloween, the Trio and Lee fight the troll in the bathroom.
• November: Snape is injured. Hari learns about it when he sees Snape being treated for the injury. 
• Hari plays his first Quidditch match. He almost gets knocked off his broom by Quirrel. Gryffindor wins the match. 
• After the match, people notice Hari’s scar, usually covered by his hair. Everyone realizes that Hari is Harry Potter. 

[WINTER HOLIDAYS]

• December: People begin alienating Hari and treating him weirdly. Many, mostly Purebloods and Half-Bloods, begin calling him Harry or Potter, instead of his preferred names. Everyone who’s a friend still calls him Hari/Evans. Surprisingly, Snape still calls him Mr. Evans. Dumbledore calls him Harry or Mr. Potter. 
• Hari and Lee stay at Hogwarts over the break, as Petunia ends up having to work through most of it. She sends them presents, though. 
• Hari gets the Invisibility Cloak. He also discovers the Mirror of Erised. Dumbledore warns Hari off from the mirror.  

[1992]

[Spring Term]

• Snape Referees in the Hufflepuff/Gryffindor Quidditch match. After the game, Hari follows him into the Forbidden Forest, but is unable to find Snape. 
• After getting into a Fight, the Gryffindors, Draco and Lee are forced to serve detention. Lee serves his detention with Filch, while the rest are taken into the Forbidden forest by Hagrid. 
• Lee gets taken under Filch’s wing. (Lee’s not very happy about this. Eventually, they become friends. Or as close to friends as teachers and students can be— It’s a father-son-mentor type deal.) 
• In the forest, Draco and Hari end up seeing Quirrel/Voldemort killing and drinking a Unicorn’s blood. Draco is horrified because “that’s evil.” Hari is kind-of surprised by that reaction. 
• The rest of the year plays out. Hari and Lee end up getting into a big fight. The Golden Trio carry out their quest to protect the stone. Lee and Hari makeup while Hari is in the infirmary. Gryffindor wins the house cup. 
• Dora Tonks graduates and begins her Auror Training.
