Notes About Canon Changes

 Character Related:

• Dumbledore is not made Headmaster of Hogwarts until the beginning of the 1975-1976 school year. Minerva McGonnigal serves as assistant Transfiguration professor until that time. Dumbledore is the Head of Gryffindor. 
• McGonnigal is slightly younger than in Canon: her canon birthdate is estimated to be 10/4/1935. Instead, she is born on 10/4/1945. (I want her to be a strict, yet slightly more naive teacher during the Marauders Era.) (She will be 24 at the start of their first year)
• Regulus Arcturus Black is a transgender woman: Her chosen name is Atalanta Regan Rhea Atalanta Black. She survives the cave. She also works as a (unknown) double agent for slightly longer than in canon, as the only reason she joins the Death Eater’s in this timeline is so Sirius won’t be forced to, not because of any real desire of her own. 
• Draco has an Older Sister named Diana (Dinah). She is the Hogwarts Champion in GoF. She mostly serves as a “woman in the fridge” (Ew im sorry) so Draco can have character development and not be a little shit.
• Petunia Evans is a Witch. She lives as a muggle during and after the first blood-wars to avoid being MURDERED. (God lily, why are you like this?) ((Considering just having her be a muggle instead tbh… but idek. The Good writer in me says its better for her to be a muggle, but the fanficer in me says i get to make the rules so we’ll see.))
• Remus/Tonks is not a thing and will never be a thing. Ew. Remus/Petunia however…. I Also will be yoinking aspects of his backstory from ATYD. Wolfstar is still a thing too bc i love it, but it will be TRAGIC.
• Cursed Throuple: James/Lily/Severus
• Dudley is also a wizard and his name is shortened to Lee. (Dynamic ideas: The Family Evans?) Filch mentorship!
• Pansy Parkinson is half Thai (?), though still a pureblooded witch. People still try to tell her she isn’t because her mother’s family isn’t on the Sacred 28. 
• Harry is half Pakistani. 
• Black Hermione my beloved. 
• The Blacks are Greek, and basically bullied their way up the pureblood hierarchy because their family is Most Ancient and Noble (The only one on the Sacred 28 that is), Have fuck you money, and are notorious/infamous for their practitioners of the dark arts.  
• Severus is not actually a blood supremacist because it’s stupid to have a heavily Jewish-coded, anti-semetic trope ridden man be a member of the FICTIONAL/ALLEGORICAL NAZI PARTY. He’s working as a spy for Dumbledore the WHOLE time, and he is NOT an abusive asshole toward children. He’s still a grump though. And sarcastic. And like, kind-of mean, but in the charming “Alan Rickman'' way. 
• Peter does not go into hiding in his Animagus form. He instead begins working as an auror, as well as acting as a speaker on his experiences in the war. He profits from this. BC ACAB.
• From the timeline referenced, it is unclear when the Longbottoms were meant to be tortured. As Crouch Jr. escapes Azkaban in 82, the torture of the Longbottoms is placed in 81, shortly after the fall of Voldemort.
