Vi stumbles on Caitlyn’s Instagram account only a few days before they would have to meet up again.
She was mindlessly scrolling when the ‘add with number’ came up! And there it was!
@c.kiramman
She/Her, CEO of Kiramman Industries
With her profile picture being just a headshot of Caitlyn with her hair down and no emotion. It was giving “I just turned 30”.
Vi began to scroll down!
A photo of Caitlyn with her two Doberman puppies (that Vi just found out about) with the caption: my babies my babies my babies
And- holy shit! 700k likes? Is she really this known? And all the comments???
Amazing pic!
Cute doggos!
Caitlyn Kiramman I need you to step on me-
Fanbase was definitely gay!
Vi kept scrolling, just some more photos of Caitlyn on Forbes, for Vouge, and some other business type pics! Scrolling even further took Vi to when Caitlyn was Vi’s age! A very teenager at 20 looking Caitlyn. And she practically looked the same just… even more young? It was the shaggy, wolf cut that Caitlyn head that sold her-
Vi wasn’t going to ignore that this was a little attractive. Caitlyn was attractive, there was nowhere in that contract that said Vi couldn’t compliment.
But she shoved her phone in her pocket after sending a follow request to Caitlyn!
Follow requests from @viisforviolence
Caitlyn was on a conference call when her phone buzzed in her pocket. She kept her eyes on the screen of her laptop as she pulled her phone up, eyes moving to the phone screen. Caitlyn pushed her glasses up to rest on the top of her head before she smiled.
What a goofy name, Violet, Caitlyn thinks before she presses the follow back button and goes back to work!
Or she tried to! Vi’s page had only 5 post. One with a cat (the post was a memorial). One with some post of Vi working on cars. One with a few friends and beers. Then one with… ohmygod.
Vi was in a tank top and shorts, huge biceps and shoulders, flexing. As well as boxing gloves. Vi boxes? Ohmygod vi looks hot as shit???
Caitlyn had to sit on this for a while.
-
Vi stood on this small circle platform in front of a mirror. She currently had her arms out, a man sizing her arms. She was also in a pair of fitted dress pants as Caitlyn watched behind her.
“And why can’t I just wear jeans and a t-shirt?” Vi asked in a mumble.
“Because darling I’m not walking around with someone in jeans and a shirt. Trust me, you’ll need a suit for later in life too.” Caitlyn said with a small laugh.
“For what? I’m not being invited to the college equivalent of prom-“ Vi rolled her eyes.
“If one of your siblings or friends get married? As long as they don’t have a red themed wedding, you’ll have a suit.” Caitlyn moved over, pulling on the side of Vi’s pant leg, causing her to look at her. A smile.
“Okay, you win.” Vi shook her head and looked forward to finish the suit fitting!
And it was amazing!
Caitlyn and Vi’s first outing together was a charity ball that Cassandra and Tobias were throwing for Kiramman’s Industries! All proceeds went to charity!
But Vi was just a tad bit nervous. Caitlyn mentioned not telling her parents about the agreement, just going with the fact that they were dating! Vi understood it and agreed, but was still shaky on it.
“Just be yourself, I promise they’ll like you. And once the 12 months are up, I’m sure they’ll understand.” Caitlyn whispered as they moved down the small hallway to greet her parents.
“Oh what… is it okay if I kiss you? Your cheek that is. We discussed hugging and hand holding but…” Caitlyn trailed off. Caitlyn was trying so hard to make sure Vi was comfortable with this!
“All good here, cupcake. Just let me know if you need to stick your hand down my pants or something.” That earn a smack on the shoulder from Caitlyn… and a laugh. More importantly the laugh.
“Caitlyn!” Tobias immediately smiled. Vi taking a step to the right to left the two hug, Vi moving her hands into her pockets.
“Father, I love the new suit.” Caitlyn said after they shared a hug.
“And you must be Violet Lanes. Lovely to meet you.” Tobias smiled as Vi held a hand out to shake it- “no need- c'mere-“ Tobias immediately pulled Vi into a hug. Vi glanced at Caitlyn and Caitlyn let out a small chuckled before greeting her mother with a hug.
“I was thrilled when I heard Caitlyn and you started going out! Connol would be so proud. I know Vander is.” Tobias said. Vi’s breath hitched.
Her entire body locked up as her mind scrambled to process how the hell Tobias knew that name.
Caitlyn noticed instantly. She looked over and saw Vi’s face go pale, her posture stiff. Her eyes, wide and sharp, flicked up to Tobias like she’d been caught in a trap.
“How… how do you know my dad?” Vi finally asked, voice steady but strained.
Tobias smiled warmly, oblivious to the way Vi’s fingers curled into her palm. “Your mother and father worked for Kiramman Industries at one of our factories down south. Moved up in management so quickly I wanted to offer them a position up here. They were amazing—I’m sorry about your loss, truly.”
His voice was sincere. His hand came up to squeeze Vi’s arm in comfort.
But Vi barely felt it.
He knew my parents.
He knew my parents worked for Kiramman Industries.
He knew my parents are dead.
He knew about Vander.
Vi’s pulse roared in her ears.
The rational part of her brain told her of course someone like Tobias Kiramman would have known her biological parents. They’d worked for him. But hearing it so casually, like it was just a fact about her life, shook her more than she was willing to admit.
Her parents had never talked much about their past. She and Powder had been kids when they died, and then Vander had been the only parental figure they had left.
And now, out of nowhere, this?
Caitlyn’s thoughts went everywhere, Vi’s parents were dead? I thought her dad had a bar? Vander? Who is Vander?
“Of course, thank you.” Vi gave her signature smile.
“Well, we won’t keep you two waiting.” Tobias waved them along, Caitlyn taking Vi’s hand as they moved inside. Caitlyn and Vi didn’t speak until they made it to their assigned seats at a round table. That’s when Caitlyn finally decided to speak up-
“Your parents are dead? I thought your dad owned a bar?” Caitlyn asked.
Vi exhaled slowly, rubbing the back of her neck.
“My parents are dead. My adoptive dad, Vander, owns the bar. I just call him dad, it’s easier.”
Caitlyn hesitated.
“…When did they die?”
Vi clenched her jaw. She hated this question.
She hadn’t wanted to talk about this tonight. Maybe not ever.
But Caitlyn wasn’t some random stranger she could just brush off. They were in this fake dating situation together for the next year, and if she wanted Caitlyn to really understand her, then-
She sighed.
“I was fourteen. It was a really bad accident. My sister and I were in the backseat and… watched them bleed out because the ambulance wasn’t quick enough.”
Caitlyn blinked. Her entire expression softened, and she instinctively reached for Vi’s hand, squeezing it before pulling her into a hug.
“I’m so sorry that happened to you, Vi,”. Caitlyn whispered.
Vi swallowed, hugging her back.
“It’s okay. Made me who I am today.”
When they pulled apart, Caitlyn studied her for a moment before glancing away, as if debating whether to say something.
Then, carefully, she asked, “Do you… remember much about them?”
Vi’s first instinct was to brush it off. To make a joke.
But when she looked at Caitlyn, she saw nothing but patience. No pity. No awkwardness. Just genuine curiosity.
So she sighed, leaning back in her chair.
“Yeah. I remember a lot. My mom? She was tough. Real tough. She had this sharp way of talking that made you listen. But she wasn’t mean. She just… knew what she wanted, y’know? She fought for people. Stood up when no one else would.”
Caitlyn listened intently, nodding.
Vi’s lips twitched into a small smile.
“And my dad? He was different. He was loud and wild, but in a fun way. The kind of guy who could make anyone laugh, even when things sucked. He was always doing dumb little magic tricks for Powder and me, making coins disappear, pulling candy from behind our ears.”
She huffed a quiet laugh.
“I used to think he was a magician for real.”
Caitlyn’s smile was soft, encouraging.
“They sound amazing.”
“They were.”
Vi looked down at her hands, flexing her fingers.
“And then, in one night, they were just… gone.”
Caitlyn didn’t say anything for a long moment. Then, softly, she asked, “Do you ever talk about them?”
Vi shook her head.
“Not really. Powder doesn’t like to. And Vander… I think it still hurts him too much. He and my parents were real close. I just… kinda learned to keep it to myself.”
Caitlyn’s brows knitted together slightly, her grip tightening around Vi’s hand.
“That’s a lot to carry alone.”
Vi shrugged, trying to play it off, but Caitlyn wasn’t fooled.
“You don’t have to, you know.”
Caitlyn’s voice was quiet but firm.
“You can talk about them. With me.”
Vi looked at her, studying her expression. She wasn’t just saying it to be nice.
She meant it.
For a second, Vi felt a lump in her throat.
“…Thanks, cupcake,” she muttered, nudging Caitlyn’s knee under the table to lighten the moment.
“Didn’t know I was signing up for therapy when I agreed to fake date you.”
"I do have a psychology degree.” Caitlyn chuckled, shaking her head
Vi snorted, "Of course you do.”
They exchanged a small smile before Caitlyn looked toward the stage, where Tobias was about to begin his speech. Vi exhaled, rolling her shoulders. The conversation had been heavier than she expected, but… she didn’t regret it. Because, for the first time in a long time, talking about her parents didn’t feel like ripping open an old wound.
It just felt like remembering them.
They gave two warm smiles to each other before moving to get comfortable in their seats, watching the stage.
Vi wasn’t uncomfortable, actually. She thought the first event would be awful, but Caitlyn reminded her it was a private event. Her parents never wanted photographers at their own charity balls unless it was sponsored by someone. So, Vi just got to sit back, drink fancy wine, and watch Caitlyn congregate with those at their table!
But Caitlyn did leave Vi alone when she and her parents went up on stage to give thanks and end the ball. Vi found herself staring up at the stage, watching how Caitlyn spoke with such confidence. It was oddly attractive. What? Vi’s eyes widened and cheeks began to turn pink when she realized where her brain was going.
Caitlyn’s beautiful, dark blue hair. Her sharp nose and blue eyes with- that fucking tooth gap. Slim neck, broad shoulders, long arms, how her body looked amazing in the pantsuit she was wearing.
“You ready?” Caitlyn pulled Vi out of her thoughts when she turned her head and looked up at her.
“Uh- yeah! Yeah, ready.” Vi was quick to stand up and adjusted her coat, giving a nod and offering her hand to Caitlyn. They interlocked fingers before moving out of the venue.
Paparazzi outside was something they couldn’t avoid. So, Vi picked up on some research she did. Vi kept her blazer buttoned as they walked over. Vi stopped Caitlyn when they got to the car, stepping past her to open the door. Caitlyn looked at her, a gentle-woman. Vi winked, making them both smile before Caitlyn got into the car with Vi’s hand as help before Vi unbuttoned her blazer and moved into the car, closing the door before it drove away.
“What was that?” Caitlyn asked.
“What was what?” Vi looked at her, a teasing smirk. Caitlyn hit her arm softly. “Might as well make a show of it, you’re paying me to.” Vi joked.
“Yeah yeah.” Caitlyn rolled her eyes.
That might, Vi was dropped off at her apartment and Caitlyn ended back home for the night.
Caitlyn
Thank you again for agreeing to do this
It helps me out a lot
Also I left a gift in your garage <3
Vi looked down at her phone before moving to the apartment garage. She found an extra key next to her own keys hanging it? And a small note attached? Vi moved over to her parking spot before she gasped.
A 2020 Harley Davidson FLHX… Vi’s dream motorcycle. How did Caitlyn know? Vi’s Instagram had one of those highlighted stories and Vi’s had a ‘raising money for bike’ back when she was a teen, but never updated it because it was too expensive.
The note: Thank you, Violet.
Vi was overwhelmed with joy. Caitlyn was… pretty and funny and confident and just bought Vi her dream bike. Vi has a happinessboner.
Vi
Thank you for the gift Cait
I appreciate it
I’ll take you on as many rides as you want, I promise
Caitlyn
Oh don’t worry
I’ll never get on that death trap
Take some pretty pictures of it for me instead <3

For a month and a half, it continued like this. Vi and Caitlyn hung out with the friend group as friends, but in the public eye were together and dating.
Their first official outing was going to a tennis match! Caitlyn dressed Vi into some white boy tennis fit, but Vi liked that Caitlyn was happy so she wore it with a smile.
They took a few pictures for the press up front. And man did they look relaxed. It was almost natural.
Vi’s hand around Caitlyn’s waist in a smiling picture. A goofy one with Vi holding up a peace sign and Caitlyn kissing her cheek. Then another goofy one where Vi picked up Caitlyn princess style, the press really liked that one.
And after Vi watching her first tennis match in person, the news spread!
‘CEO Caitlyn Kiramman stuns new partner!’
‘Kiramman CEO shows off girlfriend!’
‘These two must be competing for couple of the year!’
Caitlyn also advised Vi make her account private! Vi decided to do that only for a week before making it public and her following Sky rocketed! It was insane! From 300 to 30,000 in only mere hours!
“Holy shit! Cupcake, this is crazy!” Vi gasped. They were on a phone call, Caitlyn in her office as Vi laid back on her couch.
“I told you. People like me and now they like you.” Caitlyn said with a small laugh.
“Well, I’m honored, CEO Cupcake.” Vi joked.
“Why do you even call me that?” Caitlyn asked.
“You don’t remember?” Vi asked. Caitlyn paused and raised an eyebrow to look at the phone, but when Vi said, “because you’re so sweet”
“Oh my god- I was so drunk!” Caitlyn gasped, placing her hands on her face with a small groan.
“All good here, cupcake.” Vi teased. She could hear Caitlyn’s eye roll.
A small “Ms. Kiramman” was heard in the background.
“Vi, I gotta go, see you soon?” Caitlyn hummed with a smile.
“Of course.” Vi whispered before the call shortly ended.
But then another call came in? Jinx?
“Hello?” Vi answered.
“You’re dating Caitlyn Kiramman!?” Vi heard from 3-4 voices on the other side of the phone.
“I uh-“
“Dude! She’s smoking hot!”
“Isnt she like 30? Is she a milf?”
“Mylo-“
“Guys, look, I’m not spilling secrets. She’s famous, she’s hot, but we are keeping it on the low as much as possible.” Vi sighed… then, “but yes I’m dating her.” The other end of the phone went CRAZY.
If only it was real…
