Chapter 17
Doofenshmirtz
I had had a crush on Perry since the moment I laid eyes on her. It was her first day at school. I saw her walking through the lunch line, and knew that I was a goner. Her being my nemesis was a real stroke of luck.
I had gotten some roses for her. I was going to give them to her when she came. I also made some steak. Burnt steak, but I made an effort at least.
I heard the familiar crash of the door. I ran out of the bathroom (I was shaving) to give Perry her roses. I closed my eyes to give them to her.
“Umm, thanks...” said a guy’s voice. I opened my eyes and saw a sixteen year old guy with silver hair.
“Doof?” asked Perry, who was a couple feet behind him. “Perry?” asked the guy. “Peter?” Perry asked. “Doof?” asked Peter. “Peter?” I asked. “This is, umm, awkward.” said Perry.
“So wait,” Peter said after we all calmed down. “You” he said pointing to me. “Have a crush on her?” he pointed to Perry.
“And you.” I asked Peter “Are her boyfriend?” Peter kinda blushed.
“Yes” he replied. We exchanged angry glares. We both looked at Perry, who seemed nervous and confused.
After two minutes, me and Peter we in a huge fist fight. I couldn’t lose my love to him. I’m sure he was thinking the same thing.
“STOP!!!” shouted Perry. “If you’re just gonna fight, I’m not going out with either of you!” She threw herself from the balcony.
We both ran over to the balcony where she had jumped. In the distance, I saw a hang glider with a baby platypus drawing on it.
“FOLLOW THAT HANG GLIDER!!!” shouted Peter. “Grab onto my feet.”
“MOMMY!!!” I screamed as we zipped through the city on his hang glider. I was holding on to his ankles for dear life. He tied my hands to them so I wouldn’t fall. Still, it was scary. But seeing the town from up above was pretty amazing.
Peter noticed the hang glider near the high dive pool at school. “Of course!” I shouted, “That’s where she is. She hides there when she needs some alone time. I almost drowned looking for her. She had to give me CPR.”
“Wait.” Peter said “ She gave you CPR? As in mouth-to-mouth?”
Would the awkwardness ever stop?
Eventually Peter coaxed her out of the pool. It took awhile, but she came up. So Peter and Perry started going out. I couldn’t help feeling left out.
