Chapter 4
Princess Bubblegum
“Ahh, our last year in high school. Oh, what a tragedy!” my vampire friend Marceline said mockingly as she floated by my desk.
“What’s the deal with valuing an education? I think it’s good to want to learn.” I replied. She smirked.
“Yeah, of course that would be what a person who figured out how to make an opposite gender clone would say. Oh, Bubblegum, why did you ever clone me, anyway? Now I have to deal with Marshall Lee.” Marceline always complains about my geniusness.
“What did you say about me?” asked Marshall Lee as he floated over to us.
Marceline replied with a simple “How you always hog the video games, how you never clean, and oh, how you have a crush on a 14 year old.”
“W-what? I do not!” said Marshall, a little too quickly.
“Speaking of Fiona, this is her and Finn’s first year here, isn’t it?” I asked, even though I already knew the answer. “Let’s throw a party, or something.”
“Meh,” said Marceline. “Why don’t we wait until Halloween? Then we could make it a Masquerade Ball!”
“That’s actually a good idea,” I said.
After school, I walked home to plan the ball. As I walked down the street, I thought I saw one of the juniors (the one with blue hair) driving a small car towards the large purple building downtown.
This year will be curious indeed.
