Peyton looked up at Jade who held her phone in her hands as she looked like a psycho. "Can I have my phone back?"
Jade took out her phone and pulled up the picture of Steve and Gwen. "She doesn't love you."
Peyton stared at the picture for one long moment before turning back over to meet Jade's eye. "This is an old picture." Peyton assured.
Jade grinned and shook her head, "No, see, this is a recent picture. Steve and Gwen were kissing in the girl's locker room and I got a picture of it. I would have told you soon but Gwen swore that if I told anyone she would reveal what happened to me at summer camp. I couldn't let that get out but I'm willing to sacrifice that for our friendship--for our relationship."
The raven haired girl's eyes softened as she stepped up to Jade, she then cupped the girl's face as Jade smiled and so did Peyton. "I just..." Peyton started as the smile disappeared from her face, "Don't believe you."
The taller girl grabbed her phone back before turning around and running her hands through her hair. "Gwen's going to think something is going on because of you." Peyton rolled her eyes as she lifted the phone up to her ears.
Jade scoffed as she looked around and caught the eyes of people looking at her. She felt stupid. She should have.
"Hello? Mrs. Calloway, can you please tell Gwen to call me, she's not answering her phone."
The brunette then shook her head and looked up at Peyton, "Why don't you believe me?"
"Look at yourself, Jade. I'm sorry for all that I put you through but this has to stop. Stop embarrassing yourself." Peyton muttered because even though she wasn't Jade's biggest fan right now, she didn't want to put her business out there. "Go home, get a good night's rest and maybe later in life things will work out in our favor." Peyton tried her best to make Jade feel better because it wasn't her to make someone feel discomfort but there comes a point in time where you have to leave the toxic people in your life in the past.
--"Peyton, I love you." Jade wiped her eyes as she dropped down on her knees. This was the first time that Peyton saw her like this.
Gwen then came into eyesight as she scrunched her nose in disgust at Jade as she stepped over her and walked up to Peyton. "Are you okay? Did you pepper spray her because it's okay, it's self defense."
Peyton smiled before pulling Gwen in for a hug, "Please don't think I hung up on you to talk to Jade because that wasn't the case, it was Jade who took my phone and-"
Gwen smiled, "Relax, you're turning red from frustration."
"I know, I just really don't want you to think I'm playing you or that I still have feelings for Jad."
Gwen looked between the two and shrugged, "Well by the sights of this, I'm sure you don't." she paused, "Jade, get up. It's over."
Jade slowly stood up as she glared at Gwen. She didn't seem to be so sad anymore. Actually, she had the looks of revenge in her eyes. "You ruin everything." She looks over and at Peyton. "I can't keep telling you how much bad she is for you."
"Well then don't. The roles seemed to switch seeing as not to long ago, Gwen was telling me how bad you would become and as of now, I'm 100% sure she's right."
Jade nodded as she chewed at her bottom lip. "I'm over this." She stormed off with her little tantrum.
Gwen looked up at Peyton and groaned, "I want to beat her ass, can I beat her ass?"
Peyton shook her head, "No, you can not beat her ass." She intertwined their hands as Gwen looked around and pushed her hand away. "What's wrong?" Peyton asked as Gwen shook her head and walked off to her car.
The raven haired girl followed shortly after, "Do you want a ride home?" Gwen asked as her eyes focused on getting her car door open.
Peyton crossed her arms as she looked around at everyone that was walking by, "what's wrong, Gwen?" Peyton questioned as the blonde slowly looked up at her and sighed. "You can tell me anything."
"Can we talk about it at your house?" Gwen muttered as she looked around to see if anyone was watching them.
Peyton simply nodded before getting into the car and putting on her safety belt.
The car ride home was silent. Peyton had been overthinking everything the minute she sat in the car and it was for good reason.
Anybody would feel a little bit anxious if their girlfriend mood would change after they were having a good time.
Arriving at Peyton's house, Gwen chewed at her bottom lip as she glanced over at the taller girl. "I'm afraid."
"Well there's a lot of things to be afraid of. Can you be a little more specific?" Peyton asked as she turned her whole body over to face Gwen.
The blonde sighed with a more frustrated force. "I really like you, you're my girlfriend, obviously. I just don't know how to do this and I don't want to do it wrong because you're the first girl that I've been with and the first person that I've been with in a different perspective. What if I mess everything up and lose you?"
"How can you lose me?" Peyton took Gwen's hands in hers, "you can't. The answer is that you can't." Peyton assured as she reached over to place a small kiss on to Gwen's cheek.
Gwen smiled and closed her eyes as she felt the touch before sending Peyton a small smile, "What if everyone talks? What if you hear what everyone is saying about you and us... and then you decide you don't want to hear it anymore so your drift away from me? I rather a private relationship then a destroyed one."
Peyton cupped Gwen's face as she frowned, "I can promise you have a 99% chance of never losing me." Peyton then cracked a smile.
Gwen rolled her eyes, "and the 1%?"
"If your mom ever says she'll give me a chance then I'm taking it."
Gwen pushed Peyton's hands off of her as Peyton bursted into laughter. "She's such a milf."
"Get out."
"It's only 1%. At least it's not 2."
Gwen shook her head before getting out of the car. "Let's go. I rather be cuddling then hearing you fan girl over my mom."
-
Peyton walked out of the bathroom fully dressed with a towel wrapped around her head. "Did you shower with cold water?"
Gwen looked up from one of Peyton's books and she shook her head. "I have no idea what you're talking about."
"It's either you are really dirty or you are very weird."
Gwen's scoffed, "Cold showers are the best!" Gwen assured before flipping through the pages, "And I like calloway better, by the way."
Peyton raises her eyebrow before she walked over to her dresser to grab her deodorant. "I like your last name too?"
"No, I mean behind your first name. I like it better than me having your last name."
Peyton nodded awkwardly as she was confused, "That was so random."
"I was just reading this book about our future and you seemed to be stuck about who would take who's last name and I'm sure Peyton calloway sounds better than my name mixed with your horrible last name."
Peyton gasped as she ran over to take the book out of the blonde's hand. "You weren't supposed to be reading this. You violated my privacy."
"So I was suppose to never see this? What type of bullshit is that?" Gwen looked in sorrow, "There's no way you were going to get away with this. It's absolutely adorable." Gwen pulled Peyton down and captured her lips onto her girlfriend's. "Very sentimental if you ask me."
Peyton shook her head, "is not."
"Is so." Gwen couldn't help the smiles spreading her face as she tackled her girlfriend with kisses. "You know, today has been a very long day."
Peyton nodded, "That's true." Peyton looked over for her phone, "I'm going to order us something to eat and then we can watch that favorite childhood movie of yours. What was it? It takes two?"
Gwen grinned, "Best movie of all time. In my opinion." Gwen assured, "but that's not the point of me saying today was a long day."
"Okay, so then what was the point?"
"That means tomorrow we can sleep in, and relax. Maybe we can even have a bubble bath together like they do on those romantic movies." Gwen smiled in thought.
Peyton looked at her with shock, "you want to watch romantic movies tomorrow? With me? Instead of enjoying your break off of school?"
Gwen gave her that look, "I have a whole week off of school and tomorrow is the only day before Friday that you have off because of whatever reason and I would very much rather spend it with my girlfriend. If that's okay with you." Gwen voice was too soft for Peyton's liking.
It held a special value in Peyton's heart when she heard her girlfriend talk like that.
"It's more than okay with me. I love spending time with you." Peyton then flopped up from the bed and walked over the mirror as she took the towel off of her head. "You know, Jade showed me this picture of you and Steve kissing earlier. It was her way of trying to break us apart."
Gwen fidgeted with her fingers, "Well, now that you saw it..."
"What? What do you mean now that I saw it?"
The blonde sighed, "She was blackmailing me. This all started because she found out that I had a some sort of thing for you—which is surprising because she was a couple of months too late." She paused before looking back down at her fingers. "I told you that I want us to have communication because without that then there is no point of this relationship. So, I'm telling you this now because you need to know and you aren't saw the picture so there's nothing else holding me back."
Peyton waited for Gwen to finish what she had to say but Gwen was taking a very long time. "Come on, I won't bite."
"That's entirely not true." Gwen tried not to blush but she couldn't help it, "that's not the point. The point is that Jade had Steve force himself onto me in order to take that picture and turn you against me. This is around the time where I lied and said that I didn't love you."
Peyton started to grow a little furious. "I'm going to kill him."
Gwen shook her head, "No, you can't. You already got into much trouble and you don't need to get into anymore. What happened is in the past and all that matters is if we are honest with each other. Which I'm very proud of you by the way, with the whole coming to me and telling me what happened thing. It's very sexy."
Peyton raised her eyebrow before slowly walking up to Gwen, "Well in that case my day was just how it is on the regular, my girlfriend is very attractive and my name is Peyton. Is that enough sexiness for a kiss?"
Gwen squinted her eyes following with a smirk, "Oh baby that's more than enough." Gwen pulled Peyton's shirt as she taller girl leaned down and placed a small heartfelt kiss onto the ravenette's. "Now, call that pizza place so I can eat actual food instead of breaking this 2 month with no sex thing."
Peyton raised up her phone with the phone app on the screen. She then let the phone slip out of her hands and fall onto the bed. "I can't call a pizza place without my phone and all of a sudden I can't find it." Peyton grinned as she crawled onto Gwen and tackled her with kisses.
-
Then winded up cuddling and having pizza after all. It was mostly because Gwen wanted to stick to the whole No sex thing. It meant something to her and if it meant something to her then it meant something to Peyton.
Peyton was a sucker for Gwen and everyone knew it.
After the 3 movie which ended up being 'look who's talking' , Gwen was asleep leaving Peyton up as the shorter girl head rested against her chest. Peyton's hands stroked through out Gwen's hair as she smiled.
Peyton was starting to realize that the best thing in her life—was Gwen. She was so much more happier than she was in her she was supposed to be despising the girl.
It was really crazy how someone can change everything for you. Gwen changed Peyton's life. In a good way. Without Gwen, Peyton would still be following under Jade's path and overly obsessing over her.
Without Gwen, Peyton wouldn't have known who she really was. Gwen made her believe in herself no matter how messed up it sounds.
That's why Peyton loved her so much.
Peyton smiled before leaning down and placing a small kiss onto Gwen's forehead and then reaching for the remote to turn the tv down.
She then heard a knock at the door before it opened revealing her mother.
"You guys seem cozy." Spencer whispered as she leaned against the door frame.
Peyton smiled before looking at her girlfriend, "She's enjoying the stay, mom."
"I love that, but she's going to have to go back home soon. Her father wants her home and if I allow her to stay after going against her parents wishes then this can be counted at kidnapping." Spencer assured in a whisper.
Peyton nodded because she understood, "I just wish that I could cuddle with her forever." Peyton muttered. Gwen shifted her body as Peyton rolled the bed covers over her.
"I was the same way with your mom, but things will change eventually. Once you get into paying the bills and stressing, you're really going to be praying for your bed and a little break with your wife—well in this case, your girlfriend?" Peyton nodded and confirmed as her mother smiled at her dearly. "Goodnight, get some rest. You have a full day of sleeping tomorrow." Spencer winked at her before shutting the door.
Peyton sighed as she glanced back down at her girlfriend.
-
The next morning Peyton woke up and she was missing the warmth of her girlfriend as she turned over to see that Gwen was gone.
Peyton groaned as she pouted. She then flipped the covers off of her body and slipped her slippers on as she walked down stairs, "Gwen?" She called out.
There wasn't any response as Peyton felt her grumpy side kick in. Peyton side was aching and all she wanted was to be back in bed and cuddling with the missing blonde but she couldn't find her. Peyton knew that she was still there because the girl's phone was still there.
Peyton walked over to her bathroom as she slammed her door shut. She didn't mean to but her frustration was rubbing off on what she was doing.
The poor girl had a huge headache, her side ached and she woke up girlfriend-less. Of course she was going to be grumpy.
After she brushed her teeth and cleaned her face, she walked over to her closet as she took out her Mickey Mouse pjs and took off the clothes from the night before. If she was going to spend the day lazy then she was going to do it right.
A cold shower was going to wake her up and of course she was being hypocritical seeing as last night she was just telling Gwen that cold showers suck but it was the only thing that she knew would wake her up.
As she got into the shower, the cold water hit her skin with a shiver hitting through out her body. A small gasp escaped her lips as she rushed the rest of her body in.
Her eyes widened as she now fully awake. She immediately switched the cold water to heat.
That was more like it.
-
After her shower, she was still grumpy. Where the hell was Gwen?
Peyton looked at the time to see that it was 10. She wrapped the towel around her body before walking back down stairs and being met with Gwen and her mother, Avery. They were laughing about something as they walked into the house from the outside.
"Hey, Peyton. You're finally up?" Gwen asked as she caught the glimpse of her girlfriend.
The raven haired girl looked from her mom and then towards her girlfriend, "I need to speak to you for a moment."
Gwen looked at Avery before heading upstairs with Peyton and towards Peyton's room. "What is it that you needed, Princess?"
"I expected to wake up next to you, you know?"
Gwen smiled as she looked Peyton up and down. "Your mother wanted to ask what my intentions were with her daughter," Gwen admits as she wrapped her arms around Peyton's waist. "I think it's very disrespectful of you to seduce me right in front of your mom." Gwen joked.
Peyton rolled her eyes before playfully pushing Gwen back. "You better be lucky that you're cute. I was going to go all badass on you for leaving me but your reason sounded valid."
"Yeah..." Gwen couldn't focus because her eyes traveled once again, up and down Peyton's body. "I'm really regretting this no sex thing." Gwen chewed at her bottom lip.
"A deal is a deal." Peyton winked before pecking Gwen on the lips. "I also want to have dinner with your father..."
Gwen groaned, "way to kill the mood." She shook her head as she leaned back.
"I was thinking about it and I just thought that I would tell you."
"When do you want to have this dinner with my father?"
Peyton shrugged, "whenever you want to have one with my father."
"Oh hell no."
-
Oh, hell yes.
Gwen stood in her own room as she told her father about what Peyton had said.
Did she want to have dinner with her father while meeting Peyton's biological father? No, she did not. In fact she wanted to rip out her own goddamn eyes and stitch them back together.
Everything would be fine. Everything will be Goddamn fine.
"I like lane!" Vanessa blurted out as she stormed into her sisters room and paced back and forth.
Gwen looked at her and raised an eyebrow, "Well, hello to you too."
"You don't understand. I've come to terms with who I am I know that I'm into boys but then I'm also still into girls and I already went through this transformation and father will be upset with me-"
"Isn't that the first."
Vanessa groaned, "It's his smile and how good he is with people. Cuddling with him is also the best thing ever-"
"You cuddled with him? Go you." Gwen winked as she fixed up her lip gross combo.
The brunette crossed her arms, "It was nothing—why do you look hot?"
Gwen shrugged, "someone had to be born with the genes." Gwen looked over her shoulders, "Don't worry you come in close second."
Vanessa rolled her eyes. "That is so not the point! What are you doing tonight?"
"I'm having dinner with our father, my girlfriend, and her biological father."
Vanessa eyes widened, "you two finally decided to call each other girlfriend's? It's about damn time!"
"I tell you that I'm having dinner with dad and my girlfriend while meeting her father for the first time and you think to say; you two are together oh my god it's about damn time live laugh drama!" Gwen mocked her.
Vanessa gasped, "I don't talk like that! Besides, it's not surprising that dad wanted to meet Peyton. He's trying, maybe not in the best way but it's better than when I was young. Take it or leave it but it's better than anything I have ever experienced with dad."
"I'm really sorry for what you went through, if I never told you that."
Vanessa sent her a small smile, "Yeah, me too." She then trailed her eyes over to the flowers on her desk, "Peyton, got you those?"
Gwen smiled, "It didn't say but I'm sure my girlfriend did. It's just weird seeing as I hate the smell of flowers and this is my least favorite." Gwen admits before putting on her coat.
Vanessa walked over to the flowers and tilted her head. "That's strange. It doesn't sound very Peyton." Vanessa then ran her hands over the flowers as she saw a red liquid slide against her thumb.
Under the red liquid was a message, it said; you ruined everything for me, so now it's time to ruin everything for you. Why don't your deliver these to Hayden for me.
Vanessa tensed up as she saw the name. She immediately took the flowers and sent her sister a fake smile, "I will just throw these out for you."
Gwen shook her head, "No way, everything Peyton has given me, I have saved. You should see my locker at school, it's like I'm a fan girl of my own girlfriend."
Vanessa ripped the leaf off of the flowers and crunched it up in her hand. Typical her having to save her sister every fucking time.
"You look as beautiful as ever, I will leave you to a night of frustration." Vanessa assured as she headed for the door.
Gwen turned around in a flash. "Wait, stay. I'm going to need all the support I can get and considering that you are my best friend and well, my only friend, I would want nothing more than for you to stay."
Vanessa nodded, "Very well then." She turned around as a smile disappeared from her face and she stepped out of the room.
-
Gwen stood at the door as she watched her girlfriend walk up to her with anger. "What happened?"
"He's annoying, self centered, and a betrayal bastard." Peyton glared at her father as he got out of the car. "I can't deal." She then stormed into the house.
Peyton's biological father then walked up to Gwen, "I only asked if I can change the song." Her father shook his head before smiling, "My names Greg, it's lovely to meet one of my daughters friends. I'm glad you convinced her to let me into her life."
Gwen looked at him strangely, "Actually sir-"
"Hello! There's my favorite faggot!" Gwen heard her father's voice as he got out the car.
Gwen smiled at Greg, "if you can excuse me for a moment that would be great," she then stepped down from the porch and glared, "what the hell dad!"
"Relax, I was talking about you, not Vanessa. It's a shame that I even have to point out which one of my daughters are gay." He was suffocated in the smell of alcohol.
Gwen groaned, "you have to be fucking kidding me. Dad, you wanted to meet her and I didn't want you too! But I'm letting you and you're letting me down."
"But I'm here now kiddo, so let your old man into the house so we can start this family dinner." He smiled at her as he damn near tripped over...air.
"You're drunk, you were drinking and driving? Do you know what could have happened to you? I would have to grow up without a father, it already seems like it."
Miles shrugged, "you'll be fine. It's not like you want any men in your life anyways. Your brother's a girl, you date a girl and I'm sure you would rather have another mother than a father right?" Miles stormed up and into the house.
"Miles?" Greg asked as he looked at the two weirdly.
Miles scoffed, "and she's the daughter of Greg James? This just keeps getting better and better."
"What's going on?" Greg asked as Peyton walked into the dining room with Vanessa.
"I'll tell you what's going on. Your daughter has some sexual feelings for my daughter and my son... he's a girl. There's no sports, no first hair cuts, no father and son talk, it's all ruined because of some flag that he thinks defines himself."
Greg looked at his daughter, "is this true?"
Peyton gave him a blank stare, "I'm pansexual. Surprising? I really don't care."
"No, that's your mother talking. She got this mess into your head-"
"Yes! Thank you, dad! I was praying you would say something so I would have a reason to call tonight a night."
Miles rolled his eyes, "you're ruining my daughters life! How is she going to be able to get married and have children? Because of you, she can't."
Gwen looked at him in horror, "Stop talking to her."
"What? You're going to kick me out? Newsflash, I pay the bills and I'm sure the housing lady isn't gay so you can't seduce yourself into taking my home away, sweetheart."
Vanessa shook her head before grabbed her keys. "Come on girls, these boys need time to think about the shit they have said."
Peyton stood amaze as she hardly heard Vanessa curse. Gwen grabbed Peyton's hand and then ran out to her car. "Let's go full naley on them!"
Peyton raised her eyebrow, "but we don't even have an apartment together, we also already had sex before the whole-"
"Marry me, Peyton."
The raven looked in shock as her mouth flew up, "Gwen...just because you get into a argument with your father, doesn't mean you have to go proving him wrong. We're still young and have a life to live."
"All I'm hearing is that you don't expect us to be together for the rest of our lives."
Peyton crossed her arms, "I'm being real.
"Peyton, you bounded me since the day that I felt you. The day that I really felt you...all of you. My soul is legally tied to yours and there's no one I could be with. You make everyone look terrible—seem terrible—and even smell terrible. I love you, and you love me. Getting married now wouldn't change anything. We're both over the age."
"I want to get married to you, I do. I just... I don't think you're doing it for the right reasons."
Gwen looked at her with shock as Vanessa walked up to the car. "What are you guys still doing here?"
"We were discussing an important topic, but it can wait." Gwen assured before getting into the car.
Peyton cleared her throat, "Actually... we were talking about how I'm about to become Mrs. Calloway, in an about an hour. Would you like to be our witness?"
