It was over.

They had done it.

Not 'it' which they have done almost everywhere but we are talking about, marriage.

They got up to the court and they stood there and smiled like it was their last nights there. They smiled so happily and it was amazing.

"Are you sure that this is what you want?" Peyton asked her as they joint hands in front of the last minute priest they had just found. "We can always wait."

"Are you having second thoughts?" Gwen asked as she raises her eyebrow.

Peyton shook her head. "No, of course not. I was only asking because I don't want to take your childhood away. What if I'm not the one? What if we get so toxic that we rather die than be in each others presence."

"If we don't do this then in the future we would be looking at what ifs. As for the taking away my future thing, I can promise you that I don't want one unless you're in it. I love you, Peyton. But if you're trying to reflect how you feel onto me then we don't have to—get married that is."

The raven haired girl looked at Gwen. She really looked at her.

Through this all she could see that bitchy blonde that she met at the party that night of Jade's birthday. She could see that straight girl that everyone wanted. That everyone craved to have.

But Peyton could also see the little girl in her that never got to have a childhood. She had to grow up being the best without a mistake in the world because she didn't want to be a disappointment to her father nor her mother. Here this same little girl was; standing in front of her.

This little girl was going against her father's wishes and being with her. Going against what she truly believed in for 18 years of her life and Peyton felt as she came and took all her hopes and dreams away.

But apart of her knew that if Gwen didn't want to be with her then she wouldn't. The blonde could be with anyone she wanted. The blonde could have been lost her virginity to Steve, or a great guy out there but she settled for less and gave it to Gwen.

Peyton dropped Gwen's hands as the blonde frowned almost immediately. She must have known what was coming next.

The raven haired girl then looked at the priest as he looked at them in disgust. He really only was marrying them because Gwen paid him good money, but Peyton felt as if she was being judged.

"Since it is your intention to enter into the covenant of Holy Matrimony, join your right hands, and declare your consent before God and his Church," he announced as they already had their hands joint.

"I, Guinevere summer Calloway, promise to be your honest, faithful, and loving wife for the rest of my days. I pledge to honor you, love you, and cherish you as my wife today and every day through the good and the bad."

Gwen looked at Peyton. She wondered what the girl in front of her was thinking. Was she regretting it? It sure looked like it.

The priest then turned over to Peyton and looked at her normally. "I, Peyton Olivia Harper," There were noticeable tears in Peyton's eyes as she looked up and smiled at Gwen. "take you, Guinevere summer Calloway, to be my wife. I promise to be true to you in good times and in bad, in sickness and in health. I will love you and honor you all the days of my life."

Vanessa stood on the side as she couldn't resist to smile at them. She thought that they were making the right decision. They seemed to be so happily in love and why give up on that?

"Guinevere, do you take Peyton to be your wife? Do you promise to be faithful to her in good times and in bad, in sickness and in health, to love her and to honor her all the days of your life?" The priest asked as he creates his throat.

"I do." Gwen answered anyways because she didn't want to lie. "I really do" Gwen muttered.

He then looked at Peyton who seemed to be very nervous. Gwen fidgeted with her
Virginity ring as she waited for Peyton's turn.

"Peyton, do you take Guinevere to be your wife? Do you promise to be faithful to her in good times and in bad, in sickness and in health, to love her and to honor her all the days of your life?" The priest asked as he rolled his eyes. He thought it was shameful to use god as a way of honoring their marriage. Of course, like everyone in the two's life; he was homophobic.

"I..." Peyton started off before looking at Vanessa. The brunette gave her the look of telling her it was okay.

Telling her that it was okay to be happy and to put your feelings before someone else's.

Peyton stood at that alter and she thought about everything. She thought about how she was going to finally be settled down and how her life was flashing in front of her eyes.

Was she scared?

Hell yes.

Did she love Gwen this much?

Hell yes.

Should she be thinking about hell as she stood in the court's church?

Hell no, but she couldn't help her damn thoughts—okay so maybe she needs to stop thinking. All these words being said in a church on the day of her wedding day was just bad luck. She was already getting warm feet.

Cold feet would be her up and running out of there right now—it would be quite hilarious if she did. It'll be like all those dramatic scenes that you only see on television.

Peyton cleared her throat. She wasn't supposed to be thinking about this. She was supposed to be thinking about her wife and that awesome honey moon that they were going to have after this.

"Peyton..." Gwen broke the raven haired girl out of her thoughts as Peyton cleared her throat.

"I'm sorry... what was the question?" Peyton asked as she scratched the back of her head.

"Do you promise to be faithful to your wife in good times and in bad, in sickness and in health, to love her and to honor her all the days of your life?" The priest repeated again.

"If I say I do, can you promise me a much better wedding in the future? And also I want all of our family there and-"

"PEYTON!" Vanessa yelled as Peyton eyes shot over to her innocently. "Just say I do already, damn." Vanessa immediately covered her mouth as she remembered she was in the house of the lord.

The priest growled before turning back to the two in front of him. "Listen, I don't have all day. So can you just get this over with."

Peyton nodded and sighed. "Yeah, you're right." She gulped as she took a deep breath. "I uhh..."

-

Later on that week, Peyton and Gwen found themselves sitting right in front of Spencer, Avery, Miles, Ally, and Greg.

Vanessa and Carly stood on the far right as they listened to the conversation from a distance. It had been just a week since the biggest mistake was made—or so miles say—and now it was time to deal with it.

The word was out and everyone knew, things were going down and it was out so there's no going back to fix it.

"Let me get this straight-"

"I'm not." Peyton muttered.

"-Peyton has gotten suspended from school under the care of her mother and wife." Greg said with disgust, "and she can be in the risk of losing her basketball dream because of the same girl that you shouldn't even be with?"

"I love her."

Spencer shook her head, "I know but this has gotten out of hand."

"If it helps, Greg and my father did push them."

Miles looked over at Vanessa and rolled his eyes, "your faggot ass took them there! I should send you back to the catholic school have them baptize your ass into a man."

Ally slapped him as miles felt her face from shock. "Oh I'm going to kill-"

"ENOUGH!" Avery yelled out, "I CALLED THIS MEETING IN HONOR OF THE KIDS AND THEIR NEWLY MARRIAGE!"

Miles and Greg scoffed, "this wouldn't have happened if you didn't sicken her mind with you and your gayness. Now she thinks she can do whatever she want."

"I'm grown." Peyton spoke up.

"You're 17! You won't be 18 until like another 3 weeks.  So, actually, you're a child." Her father assured to her.

Gwen pinched the bridge of her nose as she intertwined their fingers. "This is my wife. You guys will just have to except it."

"Listen, don't you guys think it's a little too early for you guys to be married? You have a whole life ahead of you and a marriage is going to bring you down." Spencer pointed out.

Peyton shrugged, "what's any different than just dating?"

"Because marriage comes with much more than you know. A marriage is hard and you two aren't even moved in together, have you even talked about your college plans?" Spencer looked between them both.

Peyton nodded, "Yes, we both got into SPU it's not the best school but I got a scholarship there for basketball-"

"If you're even able to play with that suspension you got yourself."

Peyton groaned at the sound of her father's voice. "-Gwen wants to take this art and book publishing class to build up her future and SPU is the best school for that." Peyton drew her finger against Gwen's hand in worry.

"I'm okay with this." Ally spoke up as everyone eye's shot over to her. "I know this is going to be hard and I know you're going to probably wish that you never gotten married but that's what marriages are for. Sometimes you get bored and unhappy, but you'll find your happiness in each other and you will survive. It's the having kids part that I'm scared of, and seeing as you cannot get my daughter pregnant then I find this very acceptable."

Gwen smirked, "See, mom gets it."

Peyton looked between both of her mothers and she could see the disappointment on their faces and she dropped Gwen's hand as she stood up. "I changed my last name as well." Peyton pointed out.

Avery nodded, "Out of you both I can only assume that you would be the one that does it and not the other."

Peyton looked offended. It was like her mother was calling her a basic bottom. Peyton was not a basic bottom! "What is that supposed to mean?"

"I just mean that Gwen seems like she runs the relationship more and you would do anything for her so I'm not surprised that you have taken her last name."

Peyton looked at Gwen who looked down at the ground. She didn't want to be in any of this.

"Guinevere summer Calloway, do you think that's true?" Peyton asked as she crossed her arms.

The blonde kept her head down. "I would rather not be in this."

"So, you do think it's true?"

Gwen raised her hands up in surrender. "I don't think it's true. You run everything, Peyton."

"Are you lying to me?"

Miles scoffed before he headed for the door, he didn't want to be surrounded by all of this.

Greg on the other hand was starting to get more and more convinced by the minute.

Gwen stood up and looked at everyone, "Peyton runs the pants, I do everything she says." She announced.

Peyton nodded, "Good, now sit down."

"Yes, ma'am." Gwen agreed before she sat down and knelt her head down so no one could see her blush.

Spencer pinched the bridge of her nose. "I am going to call it a night. We can talk about this in the morning, maybe find some common ground on where we all stand on this." Spencer assured.

Greg scoffed. "The only solution is to get a divorce,"

"I'll have to disagree with you on this one, dad. She seemed very happy." Carly added in as she crossed her arms. Peyton looked up and smiled at her sister.

This was the first time that Peyton actually heard or even seen Carly stick up for her. It felt good to have her sister on her side. "This isn't about you, Carly. You are still young as well, why would I listen to you?"

"Because you know me more and you can trust my word. I would fully understand why you didn't take Peyton's word but it's me."

Greg shrugged and headed for the door, "I don't want any part in this. You officially don't have to worry about me trying to be your father because you're no longer my daughter." Greg assured before leaving out of the house.

Avery scoffed, "I fucking hate him. He doesn't care about Peyton what so ever!" Peyton looked up at her mom and she sent her a small smile. She loved the sudden attention that came out of this whole thing but it was still a little messed up that her father didn't want any parts in her life.

"I should go, knowing him, he'll leave me here and never come back." Carly pointed out.

Avery cleared her throat, "How about you stay. We have an extra room for you if you would like." Avery continued to try and convince her daughter as Gwen grabbed Peyton's hand and they slipped away from the family.

—"this was better than I thought." Gwen admits as Peyton closed the door. She turned around and smirked with her back pressed against the door. "So, Mrs. Calloway. How does it feel?"

Peyton slipped her hands down to the door knob and locked the door. She then ran over to her wife and she slipped her arms around Peyton's shoulder before pressing her lips against Gwen's.

The raven haired girl moaned into Gwen's mouth as she felt the blonde's cold hands meet her back. "It feels pretty damn great."

Gwen smirked as she leaned up and pressed her wife down to the bed as she moved her hair to one side and pulled one of her legs around to the other side of Peyton.

"Now, about the whole who wears the pants things..."

"I wear the pants!" Peyton groaned as Gwen leaned down and smiled as her lips brushed against the taller girl's.

"I know, but can you loose them. We are married now, and we are in our honeymoon stage so we must enjoy it." Gwen brushed Peyton's hair out of her face before nibbling at Gwen's bottom lip. "What do you say, Mrs. Calloway?"

"Oh, I'm so ready for this."

-

Gwen woke up to Peyton's body pressing on hers. Peyton's—naked—body.

The blonde eyes grew in lust as she just placed a small kiss on Peyton's forehead. "How did you sleep?" Peyton muttered with her eyes still closed.

"Very wonderful, but my wife seemed to be taking up most of my bed. I was thinking I would kick her ass out."

Peyton opened her eyes as she squinted them. "This is my bed, Gwen."

The blonde grinned. "What's mine is yours and what's yours is mine. Don't you remember?"

Peyton shut her eyes back as she hooked her arms around Gwen and buried her face into the crook of her wife's neck.

"Don't take too long to say 'I do' this time." Gwen joked before leaning down and placing a small kiss onto Peyton's cheek. "We also have to stop having sex in the house while your family is still here." Peyton hummed before she chased her hungry lips for Gwen's. "Seriously. I'm sure your mom heard me last night."

Peyton chuckled before smiling, "I told you to be quiet. You said you can be quiet last time."

Gwen shook her head. "I just got married 3 days ago and I hadn't had much time to have our honeymoon. You think I'm actually going to be quiet?"

"Well, yeah. We are in the house of my parents. It's quite disrespectful."

Gwen playfully pushed her to the point she fell off of the bed and the blonde immediately chased the sheets because it was rolling off of her body.

"Ouch!" Peyton groaned as she slowly got up and reached onto her nightstand to get her ring. "Just for that, you're not going with me to get you some ice cream." Peyton assured as she stuck her tongue out.

Gwen wasn't listening, her eyes were traveling down the naked body that belonged to her wife.

"Gwen." Peyton called out because she noticed that the blonde wasn't even paying attention. "Gwen." She called again as she got a hum in response.

Peyton groaned and took a few things out of the closet and walked into the bathroom.

Gwen smirked before getting up and quickly running to the bathroom and after Peyton.

-

"Where are you going again?" Gwen asked as Peyton applied lotion to her skin.

"I told you that I was running to the store to get some ice cream but since you like to throw me on the floor I'm second guessing it all." Peyton pointed out.

The blonde frowned as she placed her shirt over her head. "I want to go with you, you always let me go with you."

"I always let my not so mean girlfriend go with me. You're now my so mean wife."

Gwen rolled her eyes, "Whatever. I'm going to go anyway, because like I said, I go with you all the time." Gwen assured as she started to get ready.

Peyton smiled because some part in her liked the way that Gwen was talking to her. It sparked something in her that she didn't even know could be sparked.

"Yeah, whatever." Peyton cleared her throat as she turned away with a massive tint of red on her face. "I'm ready but I'll meet you in the car?"

Gwen hummed as she applied some lotion to her arms.

Peyton grabbed the keys as she made her way to Gwen's car. As she got into the passenger seat she caught the glimpse of the two rings on her finger. Gwen's virginity ring and her wedding ring that she picked up just 2 days ago because like stupid teenagers they were--they got married without rings.

It didn't matter now. They had their rings and they were married; happily; to be determined. You can't say that they are happily married when they are still in the beginning stages of it all. How can you determine something before they even got the chance to actually explore something?

The passenger seat's door opened revealing the topic of Peyton's mind, "What store are we off to?" Gwen asked as she settled into her seat.

The blonde then took out the charger port and connected her phone to the car as she searched for a song.

"Just the store around the corner. I have to get back to the house to get ready for school." Peyton glanced over at her wife as she started the car, "You look very pretty."

Gwen turned to face the window, "Thank you." she muttered.

-

They pulled up in front of the store as Gwen immediately got out and ran to the ice cream section.

It still amazed Peyton how her Gwen could still act just like a kid.

The raven haired girl got out of the car and walked up into the store.

"Hey, Peyton. It's great to see you. I haven't seen you in a while." The cashier assured.

The tall girl shrugged, "I've been busy. With a lot of things. It's great to see you again." Peyton assured before joining her hands together, "Have you seen a short, hyper blonde, by any chance?" Peyton questioned as she raised her eyebrow.

The cashier pointed in the direction of the mini cakes and Peyton smiled and nodded before walking in that direction.

Peyton found Gwen without any ease as she leaned against the ice cream glass door. "Find what you were looking for yet?" Peyton asked as Gwen hummed and turned around with a guilt look. "Are you ready for me to buy it or do you want something else?"

Gwen smiled, "I'm going to get something for us later. We haven't had a decent movie night in a while." Gwen admits before walking off and over to god knows what.

Peyton couldn't help but to smile at everything that Gwen did. It warmed her heart.

The raven haired girl's attention was caught by something else when she saw movement in the corner of her eye.

"Hi, can I get some ice cream or are you hogging it all for yourself."

Peyton moved to the side as the girl whom appeared to be—a red head—took a step forward and opened the door to grab some ice cream.

"Kaila." She says as she reached down to grab the ice cream on the lowest shelf.

Peyton looked away as she nodded, "Peyton." She said before the girl looked up and smiled.

"You're cute." Kaila pointed out as she stood up straight with the ice cream fidgeting in her hands.

Peyton cleared her throat as she felt arms around her shoulders with a little nudge. "I know right. And she's married." Gwen assured before showing off her ring that she got 2 days ago. "All mine." Gwen said in a voice that sounded childish but also territorial in one.

"Are you ready to go?" Peyton asked over her shoulder.

Gwen smiled and nodded before intertwining her hands with her wife's and walking over to the cashier.

Kaila watched with an unsure look. She was still debating on whether she was just hitting on someone that's like 30 years old or did they just get married really young.

To be honest, it wasn't any of her business but it didn't seem a little weird to her.

-

Arriving at school, was still a very hyper Gwen along with Peyton.

The blonde must have had some type of candy or something.

Or maybe it wasn't hyper, maybe she was just happy that everything was going her way.

"Okay, so after I get the news of whether I'm on the team or not—I'll meet you back in the car. We can head over to your house to have that conversation with your parents and I guess that's sets our evening." Gwen planned as she took out her phone and scrolled through it.

"Okay," Peyton assured as she nodded her head. "Have a good day at school." Peyton says before getting out of the car and starting to make her way up to the school.

"Wait!" Gwen called as she looked the car door and ran up to the taller girl. "I want you to have a good day at school too, and, I love you." Gwen leaned up and wrapped her arms around Peyton's shoulders as she pulled the girl in for a kiss.

It took Peyton by surprise because Gwen said she didn't like the PDA but it did feel good.

Okay, so maybe Gwen was on some Candy. A special type of candy.

"I love you more, my love." Peyton took a deep breath in and a deep breath out. "I also think we should get to class or we are going to have to deal with a detention and I can't handle any more chaos for the week." Peyton admits as she slid her hand down and towards Gwen as they walked into the school.

-

School was over.

It was slow, but at least it was over.

Peyton found herself in the girl's locker room as she walked up to the coaches office.

She knocked on it and went to open it just like she would normally do but it was locked. Peyton didn't think much of it, instead she shrugged and turned over to the window but the shades were down.

The coach must have not been there.

Peyton turned around to see if he was in the gym but she was caught with the voice of Vanessa's.

"Leave my sister out of this, who ever the hell you are." She heard her muttered into the phone.

Light muffles echoed from the phone but it wasn't loud enough for Peyton to hear.

"She didn't do that to, Hayden. If you want anyone to blame than blame me. I was the one who did it, but you leave Gwen alone and you leave her wife alone too."

Peyton gulped as she let the words process in her. Someone was after Gwen now? When were they going to catch a damn break.

Peyton felt like they were living in 'Pretty little liars' the way her life is turning over.

"Whatever. Just pay the guy and get him to go away. Make this all go away, or I swear, Steve, I will ruin you." Vanessa then hit the end button and Peyton backed up as she turned around and made her way back into the locker room.

The raven haired girl's heart fastened as so much thoughts ran through her head.

She didn't have much time to process things when she saw the coach's door open as Ali walked out.

The head of the basketball team.

Peyton always knew there was something with that whole head part in that phrase.

"Coach, seems like you had fun. Now it's time for a little discussion with me getting back on the team."

The coach eyes went wide in horror as he looked between both Peyton and Ali. "I was actually meaning to talk to you about that."

"Great," Peyton pointed in the direction of the office, "after you then."
