The air was soaked with intoxicating germs and smells of alcohol.
17 year old, Peyton Harper sat cramped up in a corner of the room. Everyone had seemed to be drinking around her and she wasn't the type to drink at all.
She didn't even know why she agreed to go to this party with her best friend, Jade.
Parties weren't her scene, she preferred to stay at home, sit back and relax while stuffing her face with any food she could. Hell, she was in love with food.
Jade on the other hand, had decided she wanted to throw a huge party because her mother, Dana, was away.
Knowing Peyton, she wasn't a snitch, and she was a loyal best friend so she had to cover for the girl and lie to both of her parents.
—"this is a cool party, but do you wanna get out of here?" A voice asked the raven haired girl as she leaned against the wall.
Peyton eyes shot up to see some boy and she rolled her eyes, "no, I'm staying here, but if you would like to leave then the door is over there." She pointed over to the brown door behind him.
He scoffed and rolled his eyes, "I was just trying to cure your boredom, fucking loser." He walked off with some red cup in his hand.
Peyton didn't let that get to her, why? Because she didn't give a fuck about name calling and everything that falls under the line of insecure dumb ass teenagers trying to rub their jealousy on her.
That was something her mothers taught her, and that's something she was going to stick with to the grave.
"GUYS! Let's spice things up!" Jade yelled as she stood on top of her couch, Peyton could tell that she was tipsy. "I think we all should play 7 minutes of heaven! Who's down?" She asked as most of the boys cheered and a couple of the girls did as well.
As everyone started to make a circle and sit on the floor, I stayed sitting in the corner. Jade looked around before her eyes landed on me. "PEYTON!" She called me over as she waved for me to come sit next to her.
I groaned before getting up and walking to sit by her. She smiled at my before placing down a empty bottle of bear. "I think everyone here knows how the game works, if you don't. I'm going to explain." Jade assured as she reached to place the bottle in the middle. "One person would spin and whoever it lands on, you go into that coat closet over there and do whatever you not both consent to for 7 minutes, when your time is up, the next person gets to spin and so on, you guys got it?" Jade questioned before looking at Peyton.
Peyton nodded her head as did the other and jade smiled at her. "You sure you understand?" Jade asked in a whisper.
Once again Peyton nodded, "yeah, it's simple."
Jade placed her hand over Peyton's and then reached her other one to spend the bottle. It landed on some guy and she gave Peyton's hand a squeeze before getting up and going into the closet with the guy.
Peyton was nervous that she would get someone weird. She wasn't even sure if she wanted to continue this game, even if the things were supposed to be consensual, she didn't trust these teenage boys.
After the 7 minutes were up, Jade came back with her hair in a mess and her lipstick smudged. She winked at the boy as his friends dapped him up.
Peyton couldn't help but to roll her eyes, she hated when her best friend fed into things that weren't herself. She seemed to be a pick me when the boys were around and as much as Peyton loved jade, she didn't like the ick that she got from it.
"Okay, Peyton, why don't you go next?" Jade questioned before nudged her head forwards towards the bottle.
Peyton took a deep breath and nodded, she spun the bottle as she clenched it shut hoping that she didn't get some jerk.
—"respin." Jade says.
Peyton opened her eyes to see that the bottle had landed on Gwen. Gwen was one of the popular girls from their school, she also had this dick of a boyfriend she was on and off with.
Gwen also happened to be a real hot head and didn't listen to anyone for shit. She was also known as the biggest bitch in all of rivers way.
Gwen got up from the floor and she shook her head as she bit her bottom lip before forming a smile, "I don't think so, Gomez. You explained the rules, and Peyton doesn't have a problem with it, right pey?" Gwen asked with an innocent look.
Jade looked over at her best friend and Peyton shook her head, "no problem here, it's just a game." She says before getting up from the floor and walking towards the closet.
Jade clenched her jaw as Gwen smirked at her.
Both Gwen and Peyton were in the closet, and the door shut.
"Alright ladies! 7 minutes is starting now!" One of the guys said before locking the door.
Peyton leaned against the coat rail as Gwen looked at her nails.
—"so, do we have to do anything in here or-"
"What's with you and jade? You guys dating or something?" Gwen asked as she looked up from her nails.
Peyton shook her head and coughed out a laugh. "What.. no. She's my best friend since the sand box." Peyton assured before shoving her hands into her front pocket.
"Right.. the tragic old sand box story. It's such a cliché. The only ones that could pull it off is Cory and Topanga." She leaned against the wall.
"Well, I don't know what you are trying to say but me and jade are just friends and will forever to be friends. I'm straight and so is she." Peyton assured as she watched Gwen bit her lip. "What's with all the lip biting?"
Gwen opened her mouth to say something but then her lip twitched into an smirk, "you staring at my lips, Harper?" She questioned before stepped away from the wall.
Peyton shook her head, "no. I just pay attention to the little things. I'm sure our time should be up soon"
The blonde looked at her phone and then placed it back into her pocket. "We have 4 minutes still. What's the rush, trying to get back to your girlfriend?"
Peyton scoffed as she shook one step closer to the blonde. "She's not my girlfriend."
"You sure? You follow her around like a lost puppy, always waiting for her while she just steps over you. You go everywhere she is and didn't you cry seeing her with beck last year?"
Peyton glared at the girl. She was a bit furious and she didn't honestly know why. "Shut up." She gritted through her teeth.
"She won't ever love you the way you love her, she's too busy trying to sleep with every guy in the nation."
Peyton stormed up to her and pushed her back to the wall she was previously leaning on. "Stop talking about her that way! Leave her alone!" Peyton face was red as anger fulfilled her.
"You're just hurting yourself, no one here to protect you. That little best friend of yours is going to crush you and you will have no one-"
Peyton slammed her hand against the wall that was right next to Gwen's head as the other one pointed directing in the blondes face. "I said to fucking stop! We are supposed to be doing something fun and you're talking about my-"
Gwen placed a small kiss onto Peyton's lips before she leaned back and waited for the taller girl's response.
Peyton eyes were closed as she was still trying to figure out if she was dreaming or not.
When she opened her eyes she gulped and she became befuddled. "What.. why?" She stuttered out.
Gwen smirked, "well you said you wanted to have fun." She pressed herself up forward. "Wasn't that fun, Pey?" She asked before dragging her finger down the taller girl's chest. Peyton felt as if the words were caught in her throat. "Times about to be up, just so you know."
Peyton closed her eyes as she did something that only surprised herself, she pulled the shorter girl in with one of her hands at the back of Gwen's head and she smashed her lips against the soft pink lips that belonged to the blonde.
She felt Gwen pull at her bottom lip as she slowly slipped her tongue in her mouth. Gwen wasn't the one to be dominated so she quickly fought back and pulled at the raven haired girls hair which made her mouth make a clean entrance for Gwen's tongue.
With a simple peck placed on the bottom lip of Peyton's, Gwen smiled pushing the girl back by her waist and she grinned. "Easy there tiger, I'm starting to think you enjoy it." Gwen whispered against Peyton's heated skin.
Peyton breathed heavily and Gwen pushed her body away as she heard the click of the door. "Oh no, you have to get back to your girlfriend." Gwen muttered with a teasing grin.
Peyton rolled her eyes. "Fuck you."
"If we had a little more time, maybe you could have." Gwen shrugged as Peyton left out of the closet.
When Peyton left, jade looked between the two to see if anything happened. Gwen walked out with a smirk as she felt her lips. She looked at jade and the brunette raged in anger.
"Everybody out! Party over!" Jade yelled before storming upstairs to her room.
-
Everyone knew how jade was and they knew better to leave than to stay any longer and have to hear her bullshit.
Peyton on the other hand stayed. She wanted to help her best friend clean up and help her at least sober up.
When they all left, Gwen lingered around.
Peyton picked up some of the cups from the floor as she was startled. "Now you have to play maid, because she's mad?" Gwen played with the beads on her bracelet.
Peyton scoffed and looked over at the blonde, "what do you want, Guinevere?" She questioned before getting up.
A smirk played on Gwen's lips, "ah, we on government name bases. I was liking you calling me by my nickname." Gwen pouted as she looked up to the taller girl.
—"okay, ver. Get out of here and get some sleep. I could smell that disgusting scent on you." Peyton admits before walking over to get some of the trash off of the table. "Jade's going to be upset if you're still here by the time she gets down here."
Gwen scoffed and rolled her eyes before walking towards the house door. "You just don't get it, Peyton." She slammed the door as she left.
Jade appeared on the stairs as Peyton eyes shot over to her. "Hey, you don't need to clean that." Jade assured as she fidgeted with her fingers.
The raven haired girl smiled and continued to pick up the trash and place it into the trash bag. "You go get some sleep, you had enough to drink. It smells." Peyton assured as she continued to clean up the house.
Jade took a deep breath. She was about to say something but Peyton cut her off, "go jade, go to sleep."
Peyton awkwardly shifted from one foot to the other. "O..okay. Goodnight, p."
"Goodnight, J."
-
The next morning jade found her house clean. Peyton had left a note saying:
Hey Jadey,
You got pretty drunk last night if you don't remember and you got upset about a few things but I didn't want to ask you while you weren't sober so I'm hoping we can talk about it today. Also, I left a glass of water in your fridge with an Advil right on the counter.
With all love, P.
Jade smiled at the letter before walking towards the kitchen and finding exactly what Peyton promised to be there.
Meanwhile, Peyton was just waking up. She had gotten in late last night and she was sure that her mothers had heard her.
Not that she would get in big trouble, anyways.
The Harper girl got up from her bed as she wiped her eyes to see the light of the sun shinning in her eyes.
—"So, you decided to come in late last night, good thing your mom is a heavy sleeper."
When Peyton eyes shot over to the door she saw her mama. "Hey mama, I'm sorry I was going to stay in with jade but then I felt home sick so I came here."
That's wasn't a total lie but it wasn't the truth either. "Aww kiddo, you should have called me. I would have picked you up." She assured.
Peyton shrugged and got up from her bed, "I know mama, but I didn't want to wake you. Plus I'm up and alive so there's nothing to worry about." She assured.
Peyton's mama sighed before she pulled the girl into an hug. "I don't want you to ever feel like you are intruding or something. I don't even care if I'm on a business trip in Hawaii, I want you to call me and I'll be on the first flight down here, do you understand me?" She asked as she pulled away from the hug.
Peyton nodded and smiled, "yes mama, I understand."
"Good, now get dressed, I'm taking you with me to a meeting with the board."
Her mother then left out of the room and she sighed. Peyton picked up her phone and saw a lot of videos from last night that she was tagged in, for some odd reason.
The only post that stood out to her was the one that Gwen took. The caption even read: This party is lame #Gomezplannedit, but Pey is making it better ;)
It was a photo of Gwen with Peyton sitting in the corner in the back.
The raven haired girl found herself smiling at the photo. It wasn't like it meant anything but the fact that she was still noticed while just sitting in the corner meant everything to her. In some weird way it was special.
Peyton sighed and clicked her phone off before tossing it on the bed and making her way to get dressed.
-
Peyton and her mom sat in the car as they listened to girl in red. The raven haired girl had never heard anything like it but she actually enjoyed it, to say least.
"So, anyone special?"
Peyton glanced over at her mom and she shook her head. "No, why?"
"Well, I was thinking that maybe since your birthday is in a few months that you could plan something and go out with some friends, maybe even get you a date. You haven't dated since-"
"I'm fine, mama. I would love to just stay to myself and worry about nothing but myself. Plus I could just go out with jade for my birthday like every year." Peyton insisted as they pulled up into the school driveway.
Her mother sighed before getting out of the car. "You and jade spend quite a lot of time together. I just think that since she is dating others that you should find someone as well so you won't be a third wheel or feel left out." She assured before shutting the door.
"Well mama-"
Peyton was cut off by the presence of Guinevere Calloway and her mother, Ally Calloway. "Hello, Mrs. Harper-Bailey, it's lovely to see." Gwen forwarded her hand.
Peyton chewed at her bottom lip as she stood next to her mother.
Mrs.Harper-Bailey, forwarded her hand and shook Gwen's hand. "Hello, Guinevere. My wife tells me so much about what you and your mother do for the community and for the school, I've been trying to get Peyton into things like that."
Peyton rolled her eyes 'lying ass' she thought to herself.
—"well Gwen could help her out with the basics, it's good for college résumés, unless you aren't applying for any."
Peyton squinted her eyes, "of course I'm going to college."
Ally smiled, "Then that settles it. Guinevere can tell you about all the clubs you need to get into and volunteer work so you can get into the best college. Spencer, I need to talk with you before we start the meeting." Ally said before walking off with Peyton's mom.
Gwen watched as they walked off before looking back at the raven haired girl, "Hey pretty." Gwen smiled from ear to ear as her blonde curls brushed against her shoulder.
—"H..Hey ver." Peyton looked down at the ground as she shoved her fingers into her front pocket.
The blonde chewed on her bottom lip before stepping up forward. "So, what do you want to know first?"
Peyton shook her head and turned to face the school. "I don't know what you are trying to do but it's not going to work."
"I have no idea what you're talking about, Pey. I'm just helping out a friend, unless that's not what you want." She stepped forward once more.
The taller girl sighed and turned back to face Gwen as she studied her. "What's your deal? You kissed me-"
"And you kissed me back." Gwen stepped up some more to the point where Peyton could feel the other girl's breath on her. "And you liked it." She whispered with a smirk forming on her lips.
As always Peyton denied it and glared at her, "I didn't."
"You did." Gwen looked around to see if anyone was around and she leaned in to the point where Peyton could feel her body heatedly on the blonde. Peyton closed her eyes as she was preparing to feel the girl's lips but she never did.
Peyton's eyes opened back up and Gwen was smiling. "Oh you definitely liked it." Peyton rolled her eyes and stepped back.
"I didn't."
"Sure you didn't, love. I think maybe therapy is needed here. Then you'll find yourself out of the closet by the end of it's subscription." Gwen turned around as she started to walk off and into the school.
"I'm not gay!" Peyton yelled as Gwen continued to walk off.
—"sure you aren't, babe."
Peyton walked around the school. She had nothing else to do and she damn sure didn't want to talk with Gwen.
It wasn't nothing to talk about with the blonde anyways. All she did was talk about whether Peyton was gay or not or try to flirt with her.
To Peyton, it was disgusting. She was far from gay as she told it. She assured to herself that she was into men and men only.
Not that she was homophobic. Both of her mothers were homos, and she always looked at love from a different perspective but didn't mean she was into women.
Sure there has been many of times when she thought a girl was hot or really pretty but that was normal. She wasn't gay, she just wasn't blind.
—"Hello, again." Gwen says as her eyes focused on a book in her hand.
Peyton looked around to see that she had made herself to the library. "Oh god." She went to turn around but the voice of the blonde stopped her.
"Wait." Gwen looked up and frowned, "you can stay if you would like. I will just leave." She says before packing up her books.
Peyton took a deep breath before walking up to the table that Gwen sat at and she shook her head. "You don't need to leave because of me. This library is big enough for us both to share."
Gwen nodded before looking back down at the book she was reading. "I didn't take you as the reading type."
"I didn't take you as the reading type either, I guess we both learned a new thing about each other." Peyton says as she walked over to the shelves filled with books.
The room went silent after that. Gwen had caught herself enjoying the book more than she enjoyed teasing her fellow classmate.
Peyton on the other hand didn't like it. She thought that maybe Gwen was playing some trick on her or something, just the normal paranoia thoughts that Peyton had.
—"why are you so quiet?" Peyton asked before sitting in the chair right across from the blonde.
Gwen eyes still focused on the book, "why are you so loud?"
"You can't answer a question with a question." Peyton crossed her arms.
Gwen smirked and looked up, "yes I can. Watch me."
"Ugh. Are you setting me up?"
"Do you wanna make out?" Gwen asked with a smirk still lingering on her lips.
Peyton glared as she leaned over the table. "Why do you keep doing this?"
Gwen looked up to Peyton's hair and moved a string of it behind the taller girls ear. "You're so pretty."
"Answer me."
"Kiss me." Gwen challenge as she leaned up from her chair and met Peyton half way. "I dare you."
"Don't you have a boyfriend?" Peyton asked.
"So that's the only thing stopping you? And you say you aren't gay." Gwen grinned before sitting back down in her chair. "I'm not into girls, I just like teasing you. Therefore, what about him?"
The raven haired girl took a deep sigh before getting up from the chair. "What are you reading?" She asked completely changing the subject.
The blonde looked down as she continued to read. "Something by Colleen Hoover. I love these books a lot." She admits as she continued to read.
Peyton fell silent as she just gazed at the older girl.
A smile appeared back of Gwen's face as usual and she looked up. "This is the best part." She looked so innocent and Peyton wouldn't lie, the girl was gorgeous. Even though she wouldn't exactly admit it out loud. "Want to see?" She asked with a lingering smile.
Peyton awkwardly nodded and Gwen frowned. "What's the sudden face for?" She questioned.
Gwen shook her head as her frown turned to a light smile and then back to the frown. "I don't know, it's just.." she trailed off as Peyton walked over to her and hover over the girl to see the book.
Gwen took a deep breath. "It's just, any other person would have turned down reading, especially my friends. They say reading is for nerds." She admits almost silently.
Peyton smiled as she started to read the quote that Gwen was so happy about. "You are such a sap." She whispered as she leaned more down to the point she was hovering over the blondes shoulder.
—"I'm not a sap. Books just have a special place in my heart." Gwen looked over at Peyton as Peyton did the same. They didn't realize how close they were until they can feel each other's breath. "I can read to you, sometime." Her voice became a whisper and her eyes maintained on the brown ones in front of her.
"Sure." Was the only thing that left Peyton's mouth. She then felt her phone buzz and she took it out of her pocket to see who it was. With a long sigh she answered it. "Hey, jade. What's up?"
Gwen rolled her eyes as she turned to the book. "I'll be over there in a minute, don't worry." Peyton assured before moving over to get her bag. Once she hung up she slipped her phone into her pocket. "I'll see you at school, Monday."
"Mhm."
—"don't be like that. I thought we were becoming friends."
"We weren't. I would never be friends with you, I don't even know why I bother talking to you." She scoffed as she continued to read.
Peyton nodded before leaving out abruptly. The blonde watched as she left and she sighed. She only wanted to help the girl but if she wasn't going to save herself then what was the point of trying to help her.
-
Peyton showed up at jades house and she knocked at the door.
Once the door was open, jade brought her into a hug as she kissed Peyton all over her face, besides her lips of course.
"What's the sudden love, not that I don't want it, but it just seem like a set up."
"You're paranoid." The brunette unhooked her arms from around Peyton and she took her hand before dragging her in the house. "Are you hungry?"
Peyton shook her head, "No, I'm just tired."
"Okay, let's go to sleep. Cuddle maybe." Jade says before she took her hand and they ran upstairs to her room. "So, do you want to listen to music on the way sleep or-"
"How about you read to me, maybe then I will fall to sleep." She assured as she plopped onto jades bed.
—"one, ew, outside clothes. Two, reading is for nerds, and we aren't nerds. Right?"
Peyton slowly nodded her head, "right."
Monday morning came and Peyton found herself at school. It was about 9 o'clock and she was in her 2 second period.
It wasn't like she was waiting for the day to be over. She had nothing to do. Who was she going to hang out with? Jade?
That's all she ever did, she needed some spice in her life or something.
"Ms.Harper!" The teacher yelled out as Peyton broke out of her trances. "I was asking you a question about the Cold War." He crossed his arms.
"I..I.." Peyton didn't know what to say. She wasn't paying attention. "I don't know." She admits in a almost whisper as the kids around her shared a small laughter together.
He was furious, "we have a test in 2 days and you don't know what you are learning? Do I need to assign you help?" He asked.
Before I could answer I heard another voice do so. "I can help her, Mr. Franco. It's not like I'm not an A+ student and I wouldn't turn down the chance to help a fellow classmate."
Peyton rolled her eyes as she rested her chin on her hand. "If you can be so kind." He smiled at the blonde before glaring at the raven haired girl. "The bell is about to ring in 5 minutes so you guys can get started on tonight's homework. I expect it by tomorrow. I won't be taking anything late." He says before walking over to his desk.
Gwen chewed at her bottom lip before walking over to Peyton and sitting next to her. "So do you want to come to my house or are we going to yours?"
"I thought you gave up on me, why do continue to find a way to be involved with me?"
"Now look who's answer a question with a question." Gwen placed her left leg on top of her right as her skirt rosed up a bit. "Your house or mine?"
"Yours." She muttered before the bell rung.
—"k. But if you need a ride there, I'm your girl." Gwen winked before heading off and to her next class.
Peyton sighed before getting up and making it towards her class.
-
Jade sat right next to Peyton as she sent her a small smile. "Hey, Peyton."
"Hey jade." Peyton says as she took out her notebook. "How was your day so far?" She questioned as she put her books on her desk.
—"it was boring. At least 3 guys asked me out between 1st and 2nd period, and my boyfriend got suspended for getting into a fight with one of them."
"That's boring?" Peyton raised an eyebrow, "and since when did you have a boyfriend?"
Jade rolled her eyes as she snapped her fingers, "we started dating just last week, keep up, Peyton."
The taller girl nodded, "so, when you threw that party on Saturday and you kissed-"
"Who said I kissed anyone?" Jade raised an brow.
"Well that's what you're supposed to do in the game right?" Peyton asked.
Jade left out a soft chuckle. Soon her face formed in a serious matter. "Did you and.. no. Please tell me that you and Guinevere didn't kiss!"she whispered yelled the last part.
"No.. we didn't kiss, that's like super gay and you know that I'm not that." Peyton lied her ass off. She was hoping that her best friend believed it.
It was no time to tell when the teacher walked into the classroom. "Good morning everyone, sorry I'm late."
The rest of the period Peyton felt anxious. She hated lying to her best friend, especially over something that's stupid and dumb.
Peyton could have told jade that Gwen kissed her, but then she would have to tell her about the fact that she kissed Gwen back. She would also have to tell her about the constant flirting and more about this new thing that the girls had going on.
That scared Peyton a lot. She didn't want to even think about it.
If she told jade all of that then the shorter girl would kill her, and then she would kill Gwen. That was just too much drama for the poor girl.
-
Last class came around and it was gym. Peyton loved that gym was her last class because when the teacher wasn't looking, she was sneak out.
That way she would have perfect attendance and get away with skipping, it was a win win.
As the brunette stood next to her locker, she spotted Gwen making out with her boyfriend, Steve.
Something filled the raven haired girls stomach. It wasn't a good feeling. She didn't like the sight she was seeing but she couldn't pull her eyes away.
Steve started to move to kissing Gwen's neck as the blonde opened her mouth to moan. She didn't close her eyes though.
She watched Peyton as she lifted her leg up to the side of Steve as he held it up.
Gwen grinned and Peyton immediately turned away. She held her changing clothes up to her chest and she ran to one of the bathrooms.
Steve wasn't even supposed to be in here in the first place. This was a girl's locker room. But Peyton wasn't going to say anything about it, it would be embarrassing.
When she made it to the bathroom, she spotted jade fixing up her makeup.
Jade smiled at her through the mirror. She then turned around. "Hey, aren't you supposed to be getting ready for gym?" She asked as she raised her eyebrow.
"Yeah, that's what I'm about to do. I just didn't feel comfortable with getting dressed out there today." She admits
—"okay, have fun."
Peyton then looked the girl up and down and examined her outfit before bitting her bottom lip. "Aren't you supposed to be dressed for gym? You look like you're dressed for a club."
Jade grinned and looked back in the mirror as she touched up some of her makeup. "I'm going to skip gym and go out with my boyfriend." She says before walking pass the taller girl. "You have fun now."
And then she left. Peyton frowned before walking over to the bathroom stall.
She quickly got dressed and made her way back to the gym.
When she got into the gym she spotted Gwen sitting next to Steve as they were laughing about god knows what.
Peyton gulped as she watched the couple. She couldn't pinpoint why she felt this way but it was something in her that couldn't picture the sight.
"HARPER!" The gym teacher yelled as Peyton eyes shot over to her. "GO WARM UP!"
Peyton nodded before jogging over to her seating area. "Today we are going to be working in groups, so find you a partner so we can get started."
'Shit, I usually work with jade.'
She had no choice but to pair up with whoever was left.
"Looks like your girlfriend isn't here, we should be partners." Gwen smirked as Peyton turned towards her.
—"shouldn't you be working with your boyfriend?"
The blonde shook her head innocently. "I would match rather work with you than a sweaty teenage boy. Plus, Steve doesn't like working with someone who isn't up to his speed." She admits leaving out a few minor details.
Peyton sighed as she got up and stood next to Gwen. "Okay, sure."
"Okay, everyone, let's start off with sit ups. 1 minute for each of your partners."
"You first." Peyton muttered as she knelt down to the ground.
Gwen laid down on the floor as she maintained eye contact with Peyton. She chewed on her bottom lip before she laid flat on the floor.
Peyton placed her hands on the side of Gwen's legs as she pushed her feet about 6 inches away from Gwen.
"Okay! Everyone start!" He yelled.
Gwen did the sit ups as she was supposed to and she made sure to close her eyes, it was some real pain in her stomach and she didn't have time to be flirting with Peyton.
—"23..24..25" Peyton counted as her eyes drifted off to the blondes toned abs. Her eyes widened as she closed her eyes trying to get the image out of her head.
"Harper!" She whispered-yelled to get the girl's attention. "You're supposed to be counting!"
Peyton eyes opened back up and she nodded awkwardly. "Yeah.. right, sorry."
"26..27..28..29.. 30-"
"TIME!" The gym teacher called.
Gwen sat up as she panted. She then rested her weight on her elbows as her head hung behind her.
"You guys need to be in shape by the end of the year. It takes time to get in shape and look as fit. If you aren't in fit then that would mean you didn't follow by my rules which means your over all grade would be a zero." She crossed her arms.
Half of the class groaned. "She can't do that." Peyton muttered.
"Okay, let's get back to work! Switch."
Before Peyton could even think twice, Gwen pulled her by the shirt as she flipped them over to the point where she was straddling the younger girl. "What are you-"
Gwen smirked as she flipped her hair to the side and slowly crawled down and off of Peyton. "Relax." She whispered as she looked around.
"I won't go too hard on you."
-
After gym, Peyton hurried up and got dressed before she could bump into or even talk to Gwen.
She made it outside as she waited for jade to pick her up. The brunette promised that she would.
As soon as the clock hit 3:30 she sighed. She was supposed to been skip gym but the teacher was on their ass today and it was no escaping.
Jade: I'm sorry, things came up and I can't pick you up today, I promise to pick you up next time. Xoxoxo
Before she could even show any emotion to the text she heard a beep.
She looked up and she saw Gwen. "Come on, we have learning to do anyways."
Peyton scoffed and shook her head, "I'm not getting in that."
Gwen rolled her eyes, "come on, I know you're not used to this but I promise to pick you up in a Lambo next time, princess." She chewed on her bottom lip before wetting them very quickly.
"Fine, but don't call me that."
"Sure, I have something else in mind to call you in future reference."
"Like what?"
"You'll see. Now put your safety belt on, got to keep you safe" Gwen assured as she glanced over to Peyton.
—"yeah, yeah." Peyton obeyed and then she threw her book bag into the back of the car. "Where are we going, exactly?"
"To get you something to eat, I know you're hungry." She says before she pulled off.
"What if I don't want anything to eat."
"You're going to eat, at least a little. It's not healthy to not eat." Gwen said in a demanding voice.
Peyton just looked over and out of the window as Gwen continued to drive off.

The winded up just getting something from the local burger fast food place. It was Peyton's favorite, anyways.
As they arrived at Gwen's house, it became a little dark out and they didn't know whether they would have enough time to study.
The blonde turned the engine off as she looked over and saw Peyton eat her last bite of the hamburger. "You have the most adorablest smile." Gwen grinned from ear to ear.
Peyton smiled before she frowned. She then played with the straw of her milkshake. "That's not a word, I wasn't smiling at all just now."
"Way to ruin the moment, big brains." Gwen playfully rolled her eyes as Peyton nudged her in her side. "You know what I meant." She muttered under her breath.
"You know, for a hetero girl, you seem to love teasing me. If I didn't know any better, I would say that you have a big fat crush on me." Peyton says before stuffing her mouth with French fries.
Gwen watched the girl fill her mouth up with food. She studied the features of the taller girls face. She felt her face heat up so she turned away and looked outside of the window. "I do not." She muttered as she watched the rain drip down the car windows.
"Oh you definitely do! It's okay Calloway, it would make so much more sense for why you keep trying to get in my pants every other second." Peyton playfully winked as she turned her gaze to the blonde. She then held her fingers up to her chin and turned Gwen to face her, "Hey. What's the matter? I thought we were having a good time." She frowned.
Gwen nodded as Peyton removed her fingers away from the older girl. "We are, I just found the rain interesting. It's peaceful and it's the best time to read and just cuddle, you know?"
Peyton shook her head, "no I don't know. I've never experienced that." She admits sadly as she finally got done with her French fries.
Gwen grinned as she got out of the car, she then opened the door for Peyton, "get out."
"Why?"
"I'm going to show you what it means to live the dream. Let's read while its rain, princess."
Peyton groaned as she got out of the car. She knew she secretly liked it, but she didn't want to admit it. "Okay but stop calling me princess."
