As Peyton walked into Gwen's beautiful home, Gwen walked to the kitchen to put away her left over food she didn't eat.

"This is is amazing." Peyton let the words escape her mouth. It was like she was possessed to say them.

"I know right, I said the same thing when my mother brought this place." Her voice was soaked in teasing. The blonde turned towards Peyton and smiled.

The raven haired girl chose to ignore it because the blonde was always teasing her so it would be nothing new for her, "Speaking of your mother, where is she?" A hint of nervousness was noticed in the taller girls words.

Gwen stared at her with a blank staring trying to wonder why would she care? She was in her house for god sales, nobody goes to Gwen's house. "Why? Trying to make sure we're alone?"

Peyton rolled her eyes as she shifted form leg to the next "I was just asking, I usually always greet people parents before just entering the house." She admits truthfully. It was what she was told to do growing up.

"Seems like you entered already, what would be the difference now?" Another grin was on Gwen. "Come on, we can't cuddle and read if we are just sitting down here talking over god knows what."

She grabbed Peyton's hand and they made their way upstairs. As Peyton stumbled into the older girls bedroom, her words became unreal.

—"I should come here more often." She muttered as she looked up at the R&B posters the blonde had on her walls.

Gwen turned a shade of pink as she walked over to her book shelf. "What book would you like to read? I have boy x boy, girl x girl, hetero. You name it." She says as her fingers slid across the edges of the books.

"Anything that's funny, I'm a cool with it."

Gwen chewed at her bottom lip for quite some time and she grinned from ear to ear. She then the perfect book.

"Okay, take off your clothes." Gwen demanded as she held the book in her hands.

Peyton eyes widened as her a blush was spotted on her face. "What?"

"Well you can't lay in my bed with outside clothes. That's disgusting"

"I'll just sit in the chair then."

The blonde groaned before walking over to her lamp and shutting it. She then shut her door before sitting on her beanbag chair. "Come on princess, come sit right here on my lap." She patted on her lap with an innocent look.

Peyton took a deep breath before rolling her eyes. "I said to stop calling me that."

The raven haired girl then walked and sat next to Gwen. "Are you ready for me to read to you?" Her voice had gone soft and a smile crept on her lips.

Peyton nodded as she leaned into Gwen's side with her head rest on the girls chest.

Gwen couldn't help but to fan girl over this, she loved this feeling a little too much. As her eyes met the first line, she wrapped her other arm around Peyton's waist. "A typical day for Mackenzie Anderson." She read.

The words that spilled out of the older girls mouth were like a calmness to Peyton's ears. There was no tension, just two straight girls reading a book with the sounds of raindrops in the air.

As the blonde continued to read, Peyton drew circles on Gwen's hands with her finger.

At some point it was getting really late and as much as Peyton was getting into the book, she didn't want to leave her parents waiting on her.

—"I'm going to go use the bathroom."

Peyton walked into the bathroom and Gwen plopped onto her bed. She was tired as shit.

After the raven haired girl was done she walked out to see Gwen sleeping. She smiled at the sight. She then walked over to pull the covers over her but Gwen groaned and grabbed Peyton's arm.

"Stay." Gwen muttered with her eyes still shut.

—"I have to get home, it's a school night."

The blonde didn't reply, instead she just pulled the taller girl down to the point she fell on top of her as she wrapped her arms around her shoulders. Gwen leaned over so her lips were close to Peyton's ear. "Please stay."

Gwen's lips touched Peyton's ear and the Harper girl had to readjust herself.

Bad idea.

Gwen wrapped her legs around Peyton as she locked her legs so Peyton couldn't escape. Gwen finally opened her eyes back up with a smile already on her face. "I'll call Mrs.Harper-Bailey and ask her for you to stay. She loves me, she'll say yes." Gwen admits.

Peyton glared at her because she hated that stupid grin that was on her face.

She hated how she always let Gwen get what she wanted, she was supposed to hate Gwen. Jade hates Gwen and everyone knows that you shouldn't be friends with someone your best friend doesn't like.

Peyton found herself hovering over Gwen as she pushed herself up she forgot to realize that her knee was still directly between the blonde's legs.

So a moan escaped Gwen's mouth by accident when she felt a push down where Peyton's leg was.

She gripped both of her hands on Peyton's shoulders as she clenched her eyes shut. "Fuck. Peyton!"

Peyton eyes widened as every part in her body wanted to try it again but her mind was telling her not to. "I'm sorry, I'm sorry." She shook her head as she rolled off of the blonde.

Peyton got off the bed and stood their awkwardly. "It's okay, it's fine." Gwen assured before getting up and walking over to her closet to distract herself. "Here, you're taller than I am so if it doesn't fit, I vote you just sleep naked."

Peyton knew the older girl had a smirk on her face so she just rolled her eyes.

Without thinking, like an idiot, Peyton took off her shirt and tossed it to the side as Gwen turned around and her face immediately went into flames. The sight of the raven haired girl was too much for her as of the moment.

"Here you go, pretty." Gwen smirked before raising up to peck Peyton on the cheek. "I'll go get me some water, you want anything?"

"No, I'm good."

With the sound of the door came a sigh, Peyton was all types of flustered.

——

Peyton was staring up at Gwen's ceiling as she was trying to piece back what was happening with her. She was all over the place nowadays and she didn't know if it was a good thing or not.

She didn't know shit to be honest. She's been living her life like it's nothing, and maybe to her it was nothing.

The raven haired girl looked at a sleeping blonde that was right next to her. She tried not to smile at the sight of her because it only ever made her question herself.

Why would she be smiling at her? Why is she even in the bed with her best friends enemy? If jade asked her that question she wouldn't even know how to answer. It wasn't like they had sex or anything.

'Stupid, stupid, stupid!' She didn't know why she was even thinking about the thought of sex while laying in the bed with Gwen.

It was disgusting and very inappropriate, the thought of it made her feel things and she didn't want to seem like a perv, but she did, she really did.

—"go to sleep, Pey." Gwen muttered into her pillow as her eyes were still closed.

"I can't." Peyton whispered as she continued to stare at the ceiling.

Gwen lifted her head and opened her eyes. She rolled them before closing them back. "Of course you cant. It's like 20 degrees in this house, come here." She pulled Peyton over by her waist as she brought her underneath her.

Gwen rested her head on Peyton's chest with one of her legs in between the younger girl's as her arms hugged the raven haired girls side. "All better?" She asked in a whisper innocently.

"Y..yeah.. all better." Peyton muttered before she found herself placing a small kiss on top of Gwen's head.

This did do the trick because she was sleep within seconds.

-

The next morning Peyton woke up to her clothes folded by the nightstand she slept next to. She smiled at the thought of last night.

She hasn't had sleep like this in a while.

She turned over to her phone and she checked her phone to see a couple of missed calls and messages. Most were from jade.

Peyton sighed and got out the bed before calling jade. "Hey, what's up?" She questioned as she moved a lock of hair behind her ear.

"Hey what's up? Are you fucking kidding me? I've been looking for you every since yesterday and you ask me that? I thought you were freaking dead! I went all the way to your house and your mothers told me that you weren't there but that you were staying at a friends house. So explain." Jade ranted on as Peyton groaned.

She should have known that jade would be pissed, she didn't know why but she knew she would.

"Listen, I have to get dressed but I'll explain everything when I-"

"Good morning pretty, how did you sleep?" Gwen asked as she came in with a tray of food. She then kicked the door shut with her back foot.

Peyton couldn't get any more luck as of this point. "Is that fucking Guinevere? Were you fucking Guinevere?" She questioned before Peyton just hung up and placed her phone to the side as she got up from the blondes bed.

"You did that on purpose." Peyton muttered with a pout coming right after.

"Did what on purpose?" Gwen asked, she was really confused because she had no idea what Peyton was talking about.

The raven haired girl just took her washed clothes and she walked into the bathroom before shutting it to change.

"I have a extra toothbrush in there! It's red!" Gwen assured as she placed the tray of food onto the nightstand.

She frowned because she knew she did something to Peyton but she couldn't pin point What and she hated the girl being mad at her.

Gwen sighed as she heard her phone rang. She ran her fingers through her hair before picking up. "Hello?"

"Hey babe, I was thinking that I would come and pick you up so we can show up to school together and make out before class starts." Steve voice echoed from the other end of the call.

"I'm good. I rather not. But I'll see you later in school." Gwen assured before hanging up.

That was harsh, and she knew that, but Steve only ever wanted to make out and what kind of guest would she be to make Peyton walk after getting her in bed. That's rude and disrespectful, even if they hadn't did anything.

Gwen flipped onto the bed as she picked up some bacon and munched down on it. About 20 minutes later Gwen hadn't moved from that spot.

—"okay, get dressed, or we are going to be late." Peyton demanded as she walked out of the bathroom with her wet hair down. She was using a towel to dry it but that was most likely the worse idea.

Gwen leaned up and watched the taller girl in awe. "You look really pretty." She muttered before tilting her head.

"Thank you, Gwen. You still need to get dressed though." She assured as she walked over to the blonde.

—"only if you eat what I made you." Gwen crossed her arms.

Peyton looked down at her as she raised her eyebrow. She then pulled Gwen up on her toes to meet her eye to eye. "We don't have time for games. You need to get dressed so we can get to school."

"Kiss me first."The words brushed off her lips like it was normal. She even moved the wet string of hair behind Peyton's ear as she slowly used that hand to cup the girls face. "You want to leave that bad I'm sure a kiss won't hurt." She whispered as she made sure to keep her eyes on the taller girls, so she can know that she was serious.

"No. Now get dressed."

"I'm not getting dressed. In fact I'll getting undressed." She took off her shirt which revealed her black bra, nothing to sexy but if Peyton wanted to be truthfully she would say it was hot. "And I guess we'll waste more time." She says as she removed her pants.

She then turned around and looked over her shoulder, "you don't want to help me unhook this?" She asked as her fingers found their way to the hooks of her bra. She slowly started to undo them with one hand and she grinned.

Peyton gulped as her eyes never left the blonde. "You taking these things off could only mean that you're getting ready for a shower, right?"

Her bra fell off, "wrong." She turned around as she tilted her head with her lip twitching into a smirk. Peyton's eyes fought against her and traveled down the girls body before Gwen raised her chin up with her index finger, "you can go for another shower, right? I was hoping you'd join me."

She raised up on her tippy toes and placed her lips right on the girls ears. "Is it still a no on the kiss?" She muttered against Peyton's skin.

Peyton felt as if she was going to pass out, she took a deep breath as she closed her eyes. "Still a no." She pained herself when she said that.

Gwen leaned back and frowned, "what a bummer." She then turned on her heals as she slowly walked away giving Peyton a bit of a show as she did.

And then the bathroom door shut behind her. Peyton sighed before she immediately turned to the breakfast food.

She had to eat something, eating helped her contain herself. She did not need to feel things all over her body.

-
After Gwen was done with her shower and Peyton was done eating, they were finally making their way towards the school.

—"so, what type of music do you want to listen to?" Gwen asked as she scrolled through her playlist.

Peyton glanced over at the blonde before glancing back over to the road. "Whatever you want to listen to is fine."

Gwen rolled her eyes before selecting anything. She then placed her phone down and onto her lap. "So, are you always so good looking in the morning or are you just this lucky?"

"Shut up."

"Yes ma'am." Gwen nibbled at her bottom lip to hold back a visible smile.

Peyton could feel her face heat up but she kept her eyes on the road and her hands onto the steering wheel.

Guinevere then turned the music up a bit and placed her hand onto Peyton's thigh.

It wasn't intentional. It felt normal to her, that's probably why she didn't even notice it in the first place.

After a while, they both arrived in front of the school. "Okay, do you want me to pick you up after school?" Gwen asked as she took out her phone charger and wire.

Peyton simply shook her head, "I'm good. Jade and I have things to talk about and we also never got to do that whole studying thing" Peyton pointed out.

"Why don't you just text me and I'll come over to your house when you're done and we can spend the evening together, studying."

Peyton reached over and fixed Guinevere shirt. "Sure, why not." Peyton says before reaching to get her things from the back of the car. "Wish me luck today?"

Guinevere hmm'd and reached over to peck Peyton on the cheek. "Good luck, princess."

Peyton rolled her eyes and then got out of the car.

She hated that damn name.

-

"So you and Guinevere?" Jade asked as she seemed to be a bit pissed.

Peyton ran her fingers through her hair as they sat in the back of the class. She didn't want to disappoint her best friend because as everyone knew, Guinevere Calloway and Jade Gomez were enemies.

And Gwen was constantly flirting with her so it seemed like they were interested in each other, but they weren't.

Or at least that's what she thinks.

"There's nothing going on with me and Guinevere. We are just friends. Well getting to become friends."

"I hate her." Jade crossed her arms as she turned over to her best friend. "I don't think you should be hanging around with her because if she's my enemy then she's your enemy too."

Peyton gulped before looking away, "I don't think that's fair."

"It is fair, nothing but fair." Jade assured before turning away and looking up at the board.

"Okay class, today we are going to be learning the topic of..."

I don't think you should be hanging around with her.

But she liked hanging out with her.

Who was jade to tell her that she couldn't make friends? It was so unfair, to both Guinevere and Peyton.

"I think we should break up." Gwen flat out said as she stood in front of her boyfriend, Steve.

He turned around from his locker as he shrugged, "is this one of your dramatic panics again? I'm sure I'll find time to care later. I have a game to practice for but we'll see each other again." He winked before taking his helmet and running out to the field.

Guinevere scoffed. Another dramatic panic?

That's not fair.

She only ever had panics when talking about her father and how much she had missed him. She never once had a panic that was over the top of dramatic.

Who was he to call her panic attacks...dramatic.

"Hey," a voice was heard before Guinevere turned to face, Peyton.

The blonde chewed on the inner side of her cheek before smiling. "What are you doing here, pey?"

"I wanted to come to you as a person and tell you that I can't see you anymore."

Gwen let out a dry chuckle and then she scoffed, "what do you mean...you can't see me anymore? Really?"

"I don't think this is working out for me and you are taking a toll on my mental health and-"

Guinevere raised her hands up in surrender, "if I'm doing something wrong that affects your mental health then you should have said it right away. I would never want to harm you in anyway." She assured as she searched Peyton's eyes to show the taller girl that she serious.

Peyton felt bad for lying to Guinevere but it was either, distance herself from the girl or lose Jade as a friend and possibly more.

Peyton was going to choose Jade. Guinevere and her weren't even really friends to begin with and who says that Gwen wasn't going to switch up on her like all those other times.

"I'm glad you understand. That means we will be meeting in the school library so you can tutor me and that's it. No going to each other house. No flirting. No touching. nothing."

Gwen shook her head, "wait a damn minute, I didn't agree to all of that. I just said I won't affect you mentally."

Peyton glared at her as Gwen sighed, "I will make an exception for tonight's tutoring because I did say we were going back to my house. But that's it."

The blonde nodded as she stood there innocently, "you look very pretty."

"You told me this morning."

Gwen stepped up and tilted her head, "and I'm going to tell you again, and again and again. I need to remind you daily."

"Who said that we are going to be seeing each other daily?"

Gwen shrugged, "well that's kind of what married couples do." She winked, "when I propose to you-"

"No way do you think that you will propose to me. If anything I would be the one to..." Peyton paused as she realized what she was saying.

"To what?" Gwen chewed at her bottom lip, "you can tell me, I won't tell anyone how our marriage experience is going to start out."

Peyton glared, "You're trying to set me up!"

"No, I was actually trying to do other things. But it is cute to see that you in fact was thinking about proposing to me."

"I...wha...this is gaslighting! You can't do that to me."

Gwen nodded, "Right, I'm sorry." She paused before looking around to see no one else in the hallway as she leaned forward, "you're beautiful."

"And I'm starting to think that you're gay."

Gwen looked Peyton up and down slowly as she licked her lips. "I might just be." She grinned as Peyton rolled her eyes, "I'll see you later, my pretty baby." She reached up on her tippy toes before pecking Peyton on the cheek.

The dark haired girl was in a trance. Her cheek stung and her face was completely red.

Guinevere had her wrapped around her fingers. Metaphorically and soon physically.

-
Later, Gwen showed up to the Harpers house like she promised.

She walked into the house as Spencer let her in. The women was on her way out anyways.

—"I will see you girls later. If there's anything that you need then you can call me or Avery. We'll be home in hurry."

Gwen smiled. Peyton's mothers weren't anything like her own. "Thank you for everything, but I don't think I will need anything."

Spencer smiled at her before patting the girl on her shoulder before leaving out.

Once the sound of the door closing was heard, Gwen looked over at the stairs and she chewed on her bottom lip before walking up them. She ran her hands through her hair as she reached the top.

"Peyton!" She called as she waited there.

The blonde heard a thump as she was startled. "Gwen?" Peyton asked as she opened her bedroom door with her sports bra on and matching shorts set.

The dark haired girl was sweaty as her hair was tied up in a loose bun. Her abs were obviously noticeable.

The calloway girl was stunned. "I...your mom...uhh, hi." Her face beamed in a soft red color as she tried to contain her balance.

"Hi." Peyton raised her eyebrow, "I was just doing my daily work outs. why didn't you call? I could have been more dressed. Now I have to go shower and-"

"I can company you." Gwen stood their still mesmerized by the tall girl.

Peyton palmed her face as she shook her head, "you're breaking those rules I told you about." Peyton pointed out as she crossed her arms.

Gwen nodded, "right. It's a little hard when you are standing right in front of me." She turned around and took a deep breath. "When you get out of the shower we are going out to eat."

"I just worked out for a reason. Besides, we need to get to the tutoring or we will never get to it."

Gwen looked over her shoulder, "fine. We'll order then. But we will be eating."

Peyton face tinted in red before she turned away. "Eating. Sure."

"Okay, after that then we do this. That's basically how I remember everything on a test. It works for all subjects, starting with geometry. I hate geometry. But I understand it."

—"that's me with Ela. I mean who wants to write all day?"

Guinevere slipped her tongue over her lips to wet them as she squinted her eyes. "There's more than that to Ela. I love English."

Peyton moved a string of hair behind her ear as she wore an pink oversized pull over sweater. "I just don't get it. I'm more of a Math and science kind of person."

"And I'm more of a lunch type of person." Gwen winked before flipping the page of the text book.

The dark haired girl smiled before shaking her head. "Yeah, you seem to like to eat a lot."

Gwen nodded, "yeah, it helps me improve in other strategies."

"what... what other strategies would you need to master?"

The blonde shrugged, "things. Things that we don't need to talk about." She got up and brushed the dust off of her clothes as her long curls brushed over her shoulders and she chewed on her bottom lip.

Peyton just turned back to the text book as she was looking for something else to study when Gwen caught the eyes of a orange looking basketball. "You play?"

Peyton looked up and nodded, "yeah, I'm thinking about trying out for the team. I always had a spot for it."

Guinevere walked over to the ball as she knelt down and dragged her fingers all over the surfaces. "I bet I could beat you."

Peyton raised her eyebrow, "I bet you can't."

Guinevere smirked and only shrugged, she was definitely planning that for another day. "We'll see." She turned around and quickly made her way towards Peyton and she closed the book. "I think we did enough tutoring, don't you think?"

Peyton looked up at her as her eyes practically stared into her soul. "That's the whole point of you being here."

"We can talk. Maybe you can tell me what to do in order to change how I affect you mentally so we can be friends." Peyton face dropped as she turned away. "And something about that look makes me think you were lying."

Peyton pinched the bridge of her nose and she sighed, "Jade doesn't like that we hang out. She thinks you're using me to get back at her for something and she didn't want us to be friends."

The blonde scoffed, "you're still taking orders from, Gomez? When are you going to learn?"

"Why do you care? So what if I was in love with Jade or if I loved jade? That has nothing to do with you! I don't want to be your play thing." Peyton crossed her arms, "just because you're rich doesn't mean you can buy me." She stood up as she gathered her things. "I don't think I need your help anymore."

"You never needed my help. You wanted to be around me, I know you, pey. You learned those lessons too fast for you to not know anything."

—"or maybe I'm just a fast learner."

"Or maybe you crave me just as much as I crave you."

The taller girl ran her hand through her hair, "do you hear how you sound? You have a boyfriend! For god sakes. You need to get over yourself! I'm not someone you can play with and then go back to your douche of a boyfriend. To tell you the truth, even if I wasn't straight you wouldn't even make my list."

Gwen clenched her jaw, "oh honey, we both know I'm at the top of that list, and for your information, I broke up with Steve."

"I hope it wasn't because of me. I damn sure won't be jumping into bed with you because you're single."

"You piss me off." Gwen muttered.

"You piss me off, more."

The blonde groaned before cupping the taller girl's face and pulling her in for a chaste kiss.

Peyton immediately pulled away, unlike last time. "No. I hate you." She walked over to her door as she opened it more. "Get out of my house." She said in a small voice.

Gwen was stunned, she was still in shocked about what she just had done and to tell you the truth, she didn't mean for it to happen.

Something in her just really wanted to kiss, Peyton again.

"Get out! Now."

Gwen took a deep breath before storming out of Peyton's room.

And she regretted that like hell.
