Haven't I Given Enough?
Summary
Peter's whole world came crashing down around him in a matter of seconds. This could not be happening. Was it some kind of joke? He must have fallen asleep, and this was some dream world out to get him. He lifted his head and looked over at Ned who was already talking excitedly “do you think I'll get to meet-” nope this was definitely real. He groaned and let his head hit the desk again, of course they would go on a field trip to fucking stark industries.oranother field trip fic with too many and not enough details.

The whole class watched in awe as Peter danced around his opponents. No one knew what to do, one blink and Peter was in another spot. He weaved in and out of their holds like he had been training for this his whole life. Despite Nat and Bucky working together neither of them could hold him down for long.

Peter had barely even broken a sweat, this was his element. it was like everything aside from his opponents had melted away, just him and them, and he was going to win. Peter kicked Bucky's legs out from under him with surprising grace, leaning back a little as Natasha's arm swung just over his head. He quickly jumped back, grabbing her arm and using it to throw her over his shoulder. With both nat and bucky on the ground, Steve came over, turning Peter to face the class, throwing the boy's arm into the air announcing Peter the winner. You’d think with how anxious Peter was he would have taken it a little easy. The shocked look on everyone's faces was making him wish he did.

there was a beat of silence.

then another beat .

Then Harley, sweet, sweet, Harley yelled “THAT'S MY BOYFRIEND!! WHOOOOO!! LOOK AT HIM!”

He's cheering so loudly you would think millions of people were cheering right along with him. It doesn't take long for the entire class to erupt into cheers and Peter is suddenly way too aware of how many people are staring at him. Tony looks at him like he hung the moon and Peter is so sure he would do anything to make his dad look like that forever.

Tony steps up in front of the class clapping his hands to pull the attention his way.

“That's not exactly what you all will be learning today but, you know, close enough.” Tony said with a bright grin. “ Everyone will get a turn to spar today, we have three hours till you all have to be settled in your rooms and ready for dinner! So, as the avengers spread out, walk up to who you want to train with and wait for further instructions.”

As everyone made their way to an avenger Peter quietly walked out of the gym with Tony, as Harley and Shuri made themselves busy.

“In what world would I need to be put in that situation!?” Peter whispers as he smacks Tony on the shoulder for the second time that day. He couldn't believe it, sure he had fun, and sure there were NDAs but this could ruin his life if they let it. This could make everything go so drastically downhill, it could blow up in everyone's faces. He had grown used to this life, he didn't want to ruin it now.

Tony put his hand on Peter's shoulder to stop him from spiraling, “ Listen, okay? I know this isn't ideal. I know it's not something you would have chosen on your own, but it needed to happen.” Peter sighed and shook his head, not wanting to believe the older man.

Tony gently placed both of his hands on Peter's face before speaking as softly as he could. “Listen to me, I will never, ever do anything to put you in jeopardy, okay? I swear on everything here I only ever have your best interests in mind.  You are and forever will be my pride and joy.”

He took a deep breath because he knew Peter was about to defend Flash and that was honestly the last thing he wanted to hear. in his mind flash had become public enemy number one. No one was going to change that, not even the sweet, sweet boy in front of him. So he  kissed peters forehead and braced himself before continuing to speak “the reason i wanted you to do this is because of flash i know that he's become worse than you let on and i know that you are too nice to say anything and i know that he's gone above and beyond the normal bullying that you think you can handle”

Peter wanted to leave, he wanted to leave and never come back. this was too overwhelming, It was all way too much to handle right now . What did he mean he knew? How could he know anything? He felt like he was six again asking why this was happening to him, why he couldn't just have a normal life, a normal childhood like everyone else.

He was staring at Tony completely silent, he knew he needed to say something but what could he say in a time like this? Nothing would make this conversation go away, nothing would let him out of this. So he said nothing, he stared up at Tony as his eyes welled up with tears and clung to him as if his life depended on it, and right now he felt like it did.

The hug would have thrown them on the floor had Tony not been expecting it, and suddenly all of Peter's problems vanished. If he could just stay here with his dad forever he would, preferably far away from people but for now this would do.

Unfortunately the hug was broken as Natasha came out of the gym to say that the class had started wrapping up and Tony needed to start leading them to their rooms. Tony nodded his head and led everyone back into the gym, they would try to continue their conversation later, for now Peter needed a break.

“ Okay, so! I'm so sorry I couldn't be in here while you all were sparing but I heard that you all did great! Some people cough cough Mj did better than everyone, who knew” Tony winked.

“Now I know yall are having fun but it's finally time to see your rooms!” Tony had on his infamous smile as the class began cheering. There was not a doubt in Tony's mind that everyone was gonna lose their voice by tomorrow. Once the class had lined up and calmed down, Tony had asked the million dollar question that would make sure they weren't calm for the rest of the night.

“Everyone good with pizza?”

Cheers erupted once again as Tony tried to lead the loud, wild class to their rooms. Friday went ahead and ordered pizza that arrived as soon as they did. No one has ever been as happy as a group of teenagers with pizza. The next day was going to be a blast.
